mukti went to that guy ok but that doesn't mean now mukti is his property and he can pass on her too others and harass her with cheap messages it is her choice and it should be always girls choice

Where have I raised questions about a girl's right to choose or justified the conduct of these guys?
I have a problem with how this entire thing has been turned into a social crusade without any sensitivity or regard to real-life victims, or even any individual growth for the character itself.
If you're going to tackle social issues, do it with sensitivity and not for promotional gimmicks, that's all I'm saying.

Also please can I just add that making NANDINI a scapegoat in all this is SO FREAKING pathetic on SO many levels?

HOW is the girl who was so shy to be standing in a short dress even in front of Manik supposedly walking around college in a short dress going to prove ANY point?

This is the most RIDICULOUS piece of nonsense possible...and yet again the REAL message will be lost in all the drooling over random MaNan romance going on on the side in all this.

The problem is that they havent addressed how Mukti uses sex as a crutch. Yes, it was her choice bt she repeatedly uses sex as a crutch to numb her pain despite being warned by her friends. True empowerment works only if Mukti understood she does not need a man to complete herself and that loss of a relationship does not mean that you self-destruct repeatedly. What has happened now is that message of Mukti understanding that she doesnt need to pitch fork herself repeatedly into situations where she lands up doing something stupid is lost. What has Mukti understood from all this?

IT IS ABOUT A HUMAN BEING ASKING TO BE TREATED LIKE ONE.

f**k OFF IF YOU CAN'T GET THAT, AND DON'T MAKE A MOCKERY OUT OF THE COURAGE THAT IT TAKES TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

YOU WANT TO PROP UP A LAME WHINY CHARACTER AND THROW AN ENDLESS PITY-PARTY FOR HER? GO RIGHT AHEAD. BUT DON'T MOCK THE PAIN OF MILLIONS BY TURNING THIS GIRL INTO A SYMBOL OF VICTIMHOOD.

YOU WANT A SKIN-SHOW AND FREE PUBLICITY? GO DO THAT. BUT DON'T LABEL IT A 'SOCIAL CAUSE' AND MAKE A JOKE OUT OF THE ENTIRE ISSUE.

YOU WANT TO BE A SOCIALLY RELEVANT SHOW? HOW ABOUT MAKING YOUR CHARACTERS EXAMINE THEIR OWN CONDUCT FIRST? THEIR OWN MISTAKES THAT HAVE BROUGHT THEM HERE? BUT NO, YOU'D RATHER HAVE THE BIGGEST PITY-PARTY IN TOWN FOR YOUR WEAKEST CHARACTER AND EXPECT US TO IGNORE EVERYTHING AND SYMPATHISE BECAUSE...HEY, s**t-WALKS BE THE "IN-THING".

WELL-DONE.

THANK YOU BUT I AIN'T WATCHING THIS SHIT.

Totally agree with you on this front. One of the many reasons I love KY2 is the way writers throw light on the social issues. But this track seems totally random and hastily integrated into the show.
The situation she is facing is something she brought upon herself and instead of acknowledging it she is throwing a fit and blaming everyone. They could have built the track in better way.
The issue is a really sensitive one. If you want to show it then do justice to it. But sorry to say the grounds on which they are building it is totally off.

Thank you vidya for writing this post.

DEAR CVS : in the name of social issue and message you are doing MOCKERY of the whole situation. The character mukti, you have choosen for this whole cause needs better introspection of all her previous and current reckless acts . without proper execution you can't throw any lame tracks on our faces.

I think they have streched this topic waaay too much. It has made me lose the interest in this concept. I'm just waiting for this week to get over so we can focus on the storyline of KY2 instead of this.

first a woman should have is self respect..here the character mukti lacks it..problems in life makes u to b a strong person but drugs alcohol or sleeping arnd is nt the solution..ppl like those politicians etc is common in our society..we shld raise voice agsinst such matters but as a woman living alone in Mumbai I hve to say we first our our own protectors..we cant change the mentality of every person..freedom of speech has turned into freedom to insult..i m nt happy wid this track

Mukti gave consent. Her basic plan flipped on her because the guy happens to be an influential person who they cannot rag or bully using fab5 tag . But what if he wasn't a powerful person say like Shahid, he would have jumped or killed himself because this girl needed her numbing and then the control trip.

s**t walk is something that people do to express their right on their body. Here Mukti's right on her body wasn't violated. If we are going at this , can we please have Pandit and Shahid doing a s**t walk against Mukti-will that drill some sense in her head.

Her sexual promiscuity and enabling her emotions using random sex is being glossed over giving it a social touch.
