OMG Mais...I've got goosebumps all over..awesome-freaking-tastic👏👏👏 And those last lines

And her eyes met the brown eyes which had turned her life around with one gaze. She saw it all, she kept looking at the eyes which drank her in till the shine from it was all gone. She kept standing there long after the crowd disappeared, staring at the dead face of the stranger who made her feel alive.

"Nawab ko kehdo, apna rishta wapas le le. Main bikki hui cheez hun, uske kaam ke nahin. Mera aaqa ais dunya se gaya, ab ye dunya meri nahin rahi."

Those were the only words she said when she came back to the excited faces. Before they could ask her any questions, she locked herself in the room.

The next day she was found on her bed, completely in peace. No one knew if her death came in sleep or she slept like that because she died.

T__T

*runs away to find a corner* *dies*

Coming back in a bit to unres.
Edit:
That was beautiful Mais. I read it first thing in the morning. It's very difficult to praise your writings, coz they transfer me to a totally different place, jahan se wapas aane ka mann nahi karta.

While reading this OS my mind was painting it's own picture, and I just didn't feel like stopping. Beautiful is an understatement.

Maisuuu, what was this? OMG you gave me the chills and in a good way, this is so gorgeous...like I want to drink it all in.

Unlike most people, I love reading tragedy, it is one of my favourite genres, because it is so cathartic.
And honestly MaNan for me has this kind of undying love we speak of, you can feel it, no matter what happens, no matter how they are separated, Manik and Nandini are incomplete without each other and you have captured that really well here.

I wish I could say my usual, "I don't know what this is" but I can't because that'd be a lie. This is what it is. This is my way of writing the POV of a subject of admiration than the admirer. I've been meaning to write something like this but yesterday tou matlab I drowned in feels and it all came out.

Tragedies can be very beautiful and I like tragedies, I do not run away from them. But this piece wasn't a tragedy Catty. I have a version of tragedy for this piece and trust me, it doesn't end in death. Death doesn't equate tragedy, it's the loss which is a tragedy. Here she didn't lose anything, she got everything. And when she did, she had no purpose to live anymore. Hence the breaths which stopped.

Of course, MaNan aren't on the level of Ishq in canon but their love isn't superficial. They are so 'one' that separation between them will always be temporary. Despite being apart, their eyes only want to see the other and nothing else. While here they got together in death (yeah that came out very cheesy), in canon they will be together both physically and soulfully. It's only a matter of time..

It's hard you know to appreciate words, pour out admiration for emotions which are so numbing, so complete. This was one such experience, lived love and probably will keep it in my heart for days to come. Khalil was right, love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

I cannot elaborate on this emotion or the thought. It's just this.

But I will extrapolate it to our Manik-Nandini. They might never live up to the beauty and pathos of these words, they hold that sacred glimpse, a bit of it.

She loves him alright, truly and completely. A part of her has left her and made home with him , while she carries his hurt with her as a memory and as a mark. She is shaken , stirred and puzzled by him, a part of her will never forgive him but the love has no rules. It will always protect him, persevere and make her shine for him even if it meant she has to burn herself. She will save him, because it's protecting her love- herself.

This broken Nandini to him- "I won't ever leave you, even though you're always leaving me." (TTW)

Maisu - Thank you and beyond for sharing this beautiful love. 🤗

Genieee! 🤗🤗

No need to elaborate, Khalil was right. It's the way the biggest of the things is condensed and presented without losing any of its essence in just some words that makes all the Sufis worth admiring.

Originally, I intended to write this piece in canon universe but jamm nahin raha tha, so I took it a notch higher, made it Ishq from love and based it off in a universe so different from our canon. But MaNan is very much here. It's the way Nandini is affected by Manik, the way he has marked her. This was just another interpretation of a marked Nandini. While here, to end things and to end them in a way which suits the era...they never truly united beyond a stolen moment in the dark of the night, in canon they'll end up together because they just can't function without each other. No matter what hurt he has caused her, she still cares too deeply for him to step aside and watch him burn himself. She's seen his light and she's sensed that he likes that light. She's too controlled by her nature to let someone willingly give up that light for a darkness from where there's no return. Of course she wouldn't easily forgive him, of course accepting him would be hard for her, but that doens't mean that she'll completely ignore him. As long as she can see him, she'll want to care for him. A big part of her lives in him. It can be called her version of selfishness..

Aah..the things you guys quote.. I wish I could do that..

''Umr-e-daraaz maang kar laye the chaar din,
Do aarzoo mein kat gaye do intezaar mein''

- Bahadur Shah Zafar

The depth which only two lines of poetry can portray...it's sheer genius
