Naina: Angad, what rubbish is this? What have you - You - You didn't! You!

Angad: I married Kripa.

Naina: How could you do this, Angad? How - ?

Mishti gets up. Without a word, she runs from the mandap and away from the house. The guests all leave, as well as Damini and Prithvi. The reporters gather around Angad and Kripa.

Reporter: Sir, if you wanted to do this why did you get engaged with Mishti Bose?

Reporter: And what was the reason for this?

Reporter: Were you two having an affair?

Angad: ENOUGH!

Angad takes Kripa and goes inside to his bedroom.

Angad: Whew! Why can't they let a couple in love in peace?

Kripa: Don't forget, Angad. I only married you because of our baby.

Angad: But Kripa -

Kripa: That's enough. I won't love you again. You've already broken my heart once. I won't let you do it again. Now excuse me, I have to go and freshen up.

She leaves Angad and goes to the bathroom. Angad punches the wall.

Angad: Just because of my mistake, she hates me! She hates me!

Kripa comes out, wearing a purple nightgown. She sees that Angad is bleeding and takes some bandages from a drawer and goes to Angad.

Angad: I can take care of myself.

Kripa: Angad -

Angad gives in and Kripa begins to bandage his arm. He looks at her while she is doing it. Kripa looks away from him. Then Kripa turns over and goes to sleep.

The next morning, Kripa wakes up, with Angad next to her. She's shocked to see him so close to her and tries to get up, but her hair gets tangled with his necklace. She tries to get her hair out, but then Angad wakes up. He looks up at her. He looks down and takes her hair out.

Kripa: Th-thanks.

Kripa goes to the bathroom.

Kripa: Why did I allow him to get so close to me? I can't love him! I can't!

Kripa comes out, wearing a long embroidered dress. She takes out her sindoor and mangalsutra when Angad goes to her. He puts it on for her.

Kripa: I could have done it myself, you know.

Angad: But they say that if a husband does it, then it's better.

Kripa goes downstairs, and Angad follows her.

Naina: Oh, hello, Kripa!

Kripa: Good morning.

Naina: How are you? Slept well? You must have, considering the change of rooms - from the Outhouse to Angad Khanna's room.

Kripa: It was very comfortable. I'm sure, you must work hard on keeping this house clean!

Naina is shocked at Kripa's cutting replies, but right now, there are only Naina, Angad and Kripa in the room. Kripa and Angad sit down and start breakfast.

Dilip, Karthik and Anita walk in. They say good morning to Kripa and Angad.

Kripa: Good morning!

Kripa stands up and touches Dilip's feet.

Kripa: Papa, I think that the ashirwad of elders is the biggest gift.

Dilip: Keep smiling, beta.

Kripa smiles and goes to sit down. She is eating her breakfast when Naina throws the newspaper down.

Naina: LOOK at it. Just look at it. So much insult of our family. "Yesterday rock star Angad Khanna, who was about to marry Mishty Bose, turned up at the wedding with another bride - his co-singer and family friend, Kripa Sharma!" Just ridiculous.

Naina looks at Kripa furiously. Angad looks down. Kripa picks up the newspaper.

Kripa: Naina Mom, I think you forgot to read the next part. "Our reporter investigated and discovered that Angad Khanna was against his marriage to Mishty Bose and was forced to accept due to pressure from his mother." How ridiculous!

Kripa looks back at Naina.

That night, it's a reception at their house. It's a very big party, with many people invited.

Kripa walks down wearing an opulent saree which is bluish-silver in colour. Angad walks down with her.

Naina: And this is our - daughter-in-law, Kripa.

Man: But I already know her! I was wondering who you are, Miss?

Kripa: Oh, she's my - mother-in-law, Naina Khanna. Isn't that right, Mom?

Naina: Yes - yes, sure.

Kripa goes to meet Prithvi.

Kripa: Hi, Prithvi.

Prithvi: Hi, Kripa. Kripa, about your marriage to Angad -

Kripa: Prithvi, I married Angad because of my child.

Prithvi nods.

Prithvi: Well Kripa, I talked to Mishti last night.

Kripa: Mishty? What did she say? She must hate me right now.

Prithvi: No, it's nothing like that. She told me to tell you that she - she's feeling sorry for what she did. And she wanted - wanted to congratulate you.

Kripa: Prithvi?

Prithvi: Yeah, Kripa?

Kripa: You'll never ever learn to lie.

Prithvi smiles. Kripa goes. Aliya walks past and trips and Prithvi catches her! They both look at each other for a while.

Prithvi: That would have been a big bruise.

Aliya: I can take care of myself.

Prithvi: Of course you can. But everybody needs some help at times - so do I.

Aliya: Well - thanks, I guess.

Prithvi: You're welcome!

Aliya laughs and goes. Prithvi looks at Kripa again.

Prithvi: I guess I need help too... now that I don't have Kripa. She's Angad's now.

All the couples go on the dance floor. Kripa dances with Angad, though uncomfortably. Prithvi keeps looking at her. Suddenly, Kripa slips and falls. Angad catches her.

Angad: I'll always be there for when you fall, Kripa.
