I think there is one way the family will agree to Simran as their daughter-in-law. The village is looking for a female village chief and the uncle wants that person to be from his family. So if somehow Simran can become the village chief then the uncle himself will want Simran to become part of his family despite her background. And I don't know why but I have a feeling it may happen like this.
