The next day the coach arrived in front of the Bajaj and Mehra mansion. Adi went on firstā¦he was disappointed to see that every hot girl already had a boy or another girl sitting next to herā¦he frowned and sat in an empty seat. Pranay and mallishka sat with their friendsā¦Maithili got on the coach and sat on another empty seat.
Tannu and bharat got on but there were only two spaces left and they were...one next to adi and one next to maithili.. Bharat frowned.. he wanted to sit next to tannu and it wasn't because Ronit would sit next to her if he didn't. He went up to adi and sat next to himā¦tannu sat next to maithiliā¦
B: adiā¦ I want to sit next to tannu!!!
A: so!!! I'd prefer sitting next to her right nowā¦so don't disturb!!
B: what are you doing?
A: can you see earplugs in my ear? Can you see me with an ipod?!?!? Guess what!!! I'm listening to music!!!!!!
B: OK OK I get it!!! You know sometimes your sarcasm really hurtsā¦
But wouldn't you much rather sit next to a hot girl rather that me?
A: you wish!!!
B: well then why delay?!?!? Tannu's sitting next to a hot girl and I'm sure she'd be willing to swap!
Maithili had her face turned the other way and Adi couldn't see who she was. Maithili wore a tight army tank top and well fitted jeans. Adi smirked at her.
Bharat smiled at tannu and winked at her...Tannu got up and exchanged seats with Adiā¦only when Adi sat next to herā¦to his shock and horror he realized it was maithili
She turned roundā¦
Both: TUM?!?!?!?
A: you're not hot!!!
Maithili was taken abackā¦: shut-up kutta!!!(dog)
A: huh!!!---You didn't!!!!!

Adi turned round and hissed: Bharat!!! She's not hot!!! I want my old seat back!!! Move your but!!!!!!!!
B: sorry brothaā¦bharat said resting his arms behind his headā¦no exchanges done!!!
Adi fumed with angerā¦you just wait till we get there!!! I'll kill you!!!!
Adi continued listening to his ipod when he felt a weight on his shoulder. Maithili's head rested on his and he saw she was fast asleep. He unknowingly smiled. She looked like an angel in her sleepā¦He rested his head on hers and fell asleep.
On the other hand Bharat kept annoying Tannu with weird questionsā¦
B: so Ronit is not your boy-friend..??
T: for the hundredth timeā¦NO!!!!
B: so he's just a friend??
T: ye Bharat!!! Well done!!! she sighed
B: butā¦
T: no bharat!!!! No more questions!!!! Justā¦just get back to your old habits!!
B: what old habits?
T: you know!! Flirting with girls and bla bla blaā¦
B: but you always used to discourage me from such things!
T: yes, but I didn't know it would be troubling for me!!!
The coach stopped with a jerk, it woke up both of them suddenly. Maithili grabbed onto adi's shirt and he automatically placed his arms round her protectively. Both looked into each others eyes until they were blinded by flashesā¦
A: ow!!! Adi turned to see bharat taking pictures of him and maithili
B; wow! What a pose! Dad will fix your engagement with maithili if he sees these snaps!
Adi immediately took his hands away from maithili and tried to choke bharatā¦
A teacher on the coach spoke..
"students we have come to a sudden halt and the bus will need fixing, we might have to wait 10 minutes before starting again!"
Adi and maithili looked away from each otherā¦they didn't know what to say or what to do. Everything seemed so weird. Maithili felt so safe in his arms and so warm in his grasp while sleeping. She didn't understand why she was feeling anything but hatred for Adi. Adi didn't understand eitherā¦all he could do was try and avoid her and try not to think of her.

A fruit seller came onto the coach.
"pears lelo pears!!" (pears for sale-pears) there were only 2 in the fruit sellers hands.
A: I'll have the twoā¦here adi handed him a 5 rupee note.
M: no! I'll pay 7 rupees you give both of them to me!
Oh so that's what she's playing at!
A: 10 rupees..give them to me!
M: 15 rupeesā¦me!
The fruit seller was loving this argument...he got a lot of profit
A: 20 rupees!
M: 30 rupees!!!, saying so she grabbed the fruits from his hand and gave him the note
The bus was moving now. She tossed them up in the air and licked her lipsā¦ "juicy pearsā¦yum!!!!" Adi laughed and took out four pears and tossed them up in the air..
A: maithiliā¦I bought all four for 20 rupees!! Oh did i not mention he came on the coach when you turned the other way!?!?
Maithili fumed with anger and threw the pear at adi. He laughed seeing her angryā¦gussa was definitely good for herā¦she looked so cute the way her nose shrivelled and her eyes narrowedā¦
NO NO NO! adi manā¦stop thinking of her!!...She's getting to me!!
*sigh*
I have to do somethingā¦I cant just let him win!!
She looked at Adi, he was asleepā¦she smirked and took out her water bottle and poured water on his lap. She got up immediately..
"chi chi chiā¦teacher!! I can't sit here anymore! Vikram-Aditya Mehra just wet his pants!!!"
Adi looked at his pants with shockā¦did iā¦??? NOā¦I couldn't have!
All the girls laughed at him.
Maithili sat back downā¦ "adiā¦are you still wondering about what just happened? I'll tell you...I 'accidentaly' spilt water on you!!" she laughed and Adi gaped at her.
The coach finally stopped at the hotel in Goa at night. Adi shifted maithili's shoulderā¦ "lookā¦" he pointed at tannu and bharat who were cuddled together sleeping. Tannu had her head on his shoulder and her arms wrapped round him while bharat had his head on hers and arms wrapped round her. Adi and maithili smiled looking at this and Adi clicked a photo on his phone
M: you're not going to show that to anyone ā¦are you?
A: not if he deletes ours!
