This is for all who wanted OS on a possible situation when the prenup comes out in open. Initially the idea was to wrap it up in one but I guess I failed to do that. I really hope you will enjoy this.
OS: Agony
His world came crashing down, pain clouded his mind, as tears blurred his vision.
‘Premarital agreement’ he repeated to himself, he felt cheated. Cheated by every single soul around him be it his wife, his mother, YK, DS or his so called father- he had least expectations from him. But how could his Sona do this to him, how could she put their relation on paper, weigh their love against an agreement, how could his mother be part of this, she who has always thought about his happiness do this? YK- of all him who has been more than a friend to him. Suddenly he felt he was all alone in that very hall of his mansion with his so called family around him. He turned to look at her, she who was his love, she who he could fight the world for, but now she who has hurt him, she who has kept this from him, she who has cheated him. Yes she has cheated him, she who had promised him that they would never keep secrets from each other had based their entire marriage on a secret. She who was now standing next to him with guilt in her eyes, looking everywhere but in his eyes, he knew she was part of this right when she refused to look into his eyes. He had known her enough to realise she would never look away if she was not at fault.
In front of him was his mother, with the same guilt all over her face. The two most important ladies in his life had cheated him, people whom he prioritised over all.
He felt claustrophobic, choked with rancour and despair. He didn’t realise when those papers slipped out of his hand, he could vaguely hear them crashing on the floor. He could hardly hear anything but the sound of his trust and heart break.
He was sure he heard her call out to him, but every muscle, nerve fibre in his body refused to respond. He walked aimlessly out of the house, he thinks he saw Ravi rushing towards him asking him if he should get the car. He thinks he nodded in disagreement and walked past him. He could still hear her, from behind him. He walked aimlessly on the street, in minutes he was in a cab, no clue where he had asked the driver to get him to, but the car was moving. He thinks he saw her through the mirror on the street looking at the car, helplessly he thought, or may be it was all his imagination. He could see the distance between them grow wider and wider as she disappeared into the corner when the car took a turn.
It felt like a battle had erupted and his heart was the battleground. He could sense nothing.
Not sure how long the drive was, but soon he had stepped out of the car.
He was there, which was always his place of solace, no theirs. He had met her more often here, seen a side to her that she barely shows the world. He could not understand why was he thinking about her still- she had cheated him, she had broken his promise. He loved her too much not to think about her. A part of him wanted to understand why she did this with him, wanted to seek answers, wanted to listen to her side of the story, but the other part cared a damn, she had kept it off him and that is all that mattered. He pulled his hair in frustration as he felt his brain would burst any moment.
He was not sure how much time it had been since he had been alone there, he thought he felt something wet in his hand. He was too tired to look at it, he turned to see blood. He was not sure what was it’s source, he was not in pain- well actually too much pain to realise that he had crushed the beer bottle kept in the corner.
He looked at his hand, drops of blood flowing down, but he felt nothing, there was pain in his heart and not in his hand. Shouldn’t his hand be paining? His medical brain was confused, but he still felt nothing.
He looked up, his vision still blurred, but he could see her running towards him, may be because he could feel him more than anything, he could feel her presence. He won’t lie he felt at solace at the very feeling of her being around him, why he wondered? After all this why? Because he knew she loved him no matter what, he knew she had done this for his family, he knew she was hurt as well, but yet she broke the promise and nothing could change that.
‘Rohit’ she screamed taking his hand in hers. In all honesty he wanted to withdraw his hand, but a part of him would not let him do that. She had hurriedly wrapped her handkerchief around his wound- atleast the wound that was visible. What about the wound that was inflicted on his heart?
She who was in dilemma seeing him in so much pain. She who knew it was her mistake, she who knew she should have told him about it. She who knew she had broken the promise she had made. She who had frantically looked for him around and realised he would be here- where else could he seek peace?
She who knew he was hurt- she had seen it in his eyes, she knew she was responsible for it. She can’t explain the relief she felt to have found him, but at the same she was in pain to see him in so much agony, he looked pale and lost. What could she do now? Would he listen to her? Would he understand why she signed those papers? More importantly would he ever understand why she hid it from him, especially when she was herself unsure of what she did.
To be continued soon-
