I’m talking Ofcourse of the standard justification script shared across the TV fraternity 👏🥱

It’s truly remarkable how they all repeat the same tired asinine justifications for the retarded Naagin, lizard, Makkhi etc crap. Must applaud the indoctrination, really. Like perfect zombies, they all repeat it without fail 🥱.

So not that it’s worth reasoning with people who’ve slurped the kool-aid fully, but let’s dismantle the brainless GoT dragons analogy nevertheless.

1) GoT is a show in the FANTASY genre. It does not combine saas bahu drama with fantasy creatures. I’m not even going to get into the level of bad CGI because that’s a whole seperate level of mess. But on a fundamental level, this brainless argument that people enjoy dragons in GoT so they should venerate naagins and Makkhis automatically is 😕.

I personally don’t even consider GoT a perfect show worth venerating but to use its two dragons as an excuse to justify super shitty desi naagin shows is way beyond laughable.

What amazing gaslighting by the ITV industry. To actually claim that people only mock these shows because of blind adoration for Western shows. LOL instead of acknowledging your own flaws, how convenient it is to play victim and claim people are “unfairly” judging you. ROFL

Truly next level marketing fake out.

2) The justification that ppl watch these shows out of “nostalgia” for “bachpan ki lok kathaayein” LOL ....bachpan ki lok kathaayein did not have bahus becoming makkhis as far as I recall, but sure.

To actually claim that this is some extension of Amar Chitra Katha that people are watching is actually an insult to ACK.

This is like saying ppl have nostalgia for LOTR so ppl are free to transplant the story into a saas bahu drama and that is all ok cuz “nostalgia” 🙄🙄.

3) India does have a rich set of folklore to pull stories from. Instead of doing justice to these amazingly creative stories, you present them in a tacky mindless fashion and then try to JUSTIFY yourselves? Wow some gall these folks have. First you disrespect your own rich culture heritage and then blame the audience for being too blindly worshipful of western shows? Lol sure....in your fragile ego state, that can be the only reason anyone would mock a bahu turning makkhi or a devar turning Naag 🙄🙄.

Do these ppl even hear themselves? 😂. That is some special Kool-aid they’re all drunk on en-masse. They can keep passing the script around and regurgitating the same tired arguments. It won’t change the truth.

Once again, the show continues to miss the boat. Instead of showing a self-aware TV actor, they choose to go the route of glorifying the brainless scripts. Superb.

For what it’s worth, even GoT actors don’t justify the crazy stuff with such earnest delusion. ITV actors and makers need to learn a little of that....you want to craft a fantasy? Go for it. But please don’t try to make it sound like you’re doing social service one step away from winning a Nobel prize for “magic” 🙄🙄

I think ...lambi chaudi justification was not required.. the simple ...we give what people watches wud hv been enough.

There r certain shows which even i feel why the hell it is still on tv? But when u look at the trps....its amongst the highest. So why wud they stop showing crap when we as audience happily watching one.

What constitutes as “entertainment” for people is a very subjective thing. People will literally watch anything outrageous out of curiosity. So to claim that people watching it makes it successful is a pretty narrow minded justification from ITV.

The truth is that it’s all about money. They are exploiting people’s fascination with outrage to make money off of them. And they lack the guts to admit it. So instead, they cloak it in some stupid justification about giving ppl “nostalgia”. B.S.

I could maybe respect them a bit if they had the guts to admit what they were doing even if it’s morally questionable. But no, they have to act holier than thou. Pretentious lot 🙄

I am liking this show so much that I am really trying to un-see, un-hear Sonakshi's whole justification spiel from today's episode.

Do these people really think the audience goes to bed dreaming about their preposterous plots? In which episode of... lets say Kzk am I supposed to find a bachpan se Judi yaad?😕

If your bachpan consisted of imagining yourself in a dhaaga shaadi, I suppose 😕😆

I couldn’t unhear Sonakshi’s spiel cuz it was juxtaposed with Rohit being all enamored with her just as she was spouting the most ridiculous bs. What a waste.

So I suppose that’s how it’s gonna go. She’s gonna justify Naags and Naagins and he’s going to be all “Aww she so pretty”. Waah kya Love Story hai 🙄🙄

That's where it's going, I guess. So unwarranted, the whole scene was. It came across as being condescending towards their audience. Why even justify to Rohit. Not like she wants his admiration. Above everything else, it came across as if she is apologetic and embarrassed about her work.

It's been good so far. Sweet and light hearted. Today grated on my nerves.

Never mind. I'll still try to unsee it. Anu broke the dhaaga and now they are un married. If it's as simple as that, purging my mind of the episode today should be a cinch😆

Precisely my thoughts! These shows weren't started as supernatural/fantasy ones and hence the audience's frustration.

But the lame explanation is just to cover up their colleagues' illogical writing!😆(Can't bite the hands that feed afterall)

Really? Lol to me she came across as immensely delusional about her work. She actually has a very inflated opinion of the work she’s doing cuz she EARNESTLY thinks Naags provide “magic” to the audience. She was going out of her way to justify why such shows are “successful” 😆

I don’t have many expectations but so far they haven’t shown the premise of Rohit falling for her convincingly. Randomly staring at her every two seconds just as she’s talking Naag naagins isn’t my idea of a great story.

They could have focused more on her talking about how she’s trying to compete her education. Instead they spent 10 min showing her justifying an asinine naag plot line so earnestly 🤷‍♀️. They could have laughed together about the absurdity, but no...she’s fully indoctrinated herself. No helping her. He will follow soon. Lol Jai ho ITV Kool-Aid.

I agree that sonas justification & explanation about Indian shows be it saas bahu or supernatural is absolutely lame.

Having said that, unfortunately, there is a big market for these shows. We can curse her to kingdom come but Ekta Kapoor really knows the pulse of the audience. Yes it’s about the money but how do they earn money, by getting higher trps. In this case it’s a simple matter of demand & supply. I mean just watch some of her web series.

She started the trend of saas bahu & then the nagin series. Since these 2 became so popular that every other serial was doing the same. Over the years there have been a handful of shows that have defied the trend but soon closed shop.

Coming to the episode it was all good till this explanation & I found it odd that it sat well with rohit. After seeing the precap it looks like we are heading the cliched way of light falling & hero rescuing. At least there are some elements which make this show worth watching for the time being

Exactly 😆. Can’t face the truth of the writing being so mindless so make the audience the convenient scapegoat.

Self reflection is impossible for ITV 🤷‍♀️
