Daadi was looking at the workers, who were setting up the pooja decorations, when Gauri came. She was about to drink water, but Daadi snatched the glass from her. Gauri looked at her in confusion.

Daadi- Aaj tum paani aur khaana nahi khaa sakti...Ekdaashi ka upvaas hai, bhuji?

Gauri nodded.

Daadi- Aur agar tumne koi bhi rasam todhi, toh humse bura aur koi nahi hoga...

Daadi walked away.

Gauri-(tensed) What the hell! No khaana...aise mein toh hum marr jaayenge...

She went in her room in frustration. Yug was enjoying his breakfast. Gauri looked at him. Yug looked at her.

Yug- Tumne breakfast kiya?

Gauri nodded in a no.

Gauri- Humne upvaas rakha hai...

Yug nodded and continued eating. Gauri looked at him hopefully. Yug gave her a glass of juice.

Gauri-(acting as if she doesn't want) Yug, hum yeh nahi le sakte...

Yug- Le lo, main kisiko kuch nahi bolunga... EK baar Kali ne bhi paani nahi piya tha, and she fainted... I don't want the same to happen with you...

Gauri looked at him in shock. Didn't he remember that she too had "fasted" when Kaali denied marrying Aryan?

Yug walked out of the room. Gauri was so hungry that she drank the juice. She felt her head pain, but thought that it must be due to hunger. She locked herself in the room and went to sleep. Suddenly the door was knocked. It was Sharmila, who was carrying a plate of laddoos in her hand and trying to balance it.

Sharmila- Oye sleeping beauty, jaldi kar, Daadi bula rahi hai...

Her mobile rang, so she kept the plate on the table nearby and walked away. Gauri looked at the laddoos hungrily and picked a few from the plate. She closed the door and ate them.

Here Daadi was searching for Gauri, who was nowhere to be seen.

Daadi- Sharmila, tune usse bataya ki hum bula rahe hai? Saare mehmaan aaye hai...

Sharmila nodded in a yes sheepishly. Daadi was muttering to herslef, when Yug walked past her, in hurry.

Suddenly they heard Gauri call Yug, so looked up stairs. Gauri walked, more precisely, she stumbled. Somehow, she managed to come down, and when she reached the last step, she almost fell.

Daadi- Isse kya hua?

Chulbuli- Lagta hai bhook ki wajhase aise hui hai, samjhe ki samjhaaye?

Manjiri looked at the girl, whom she loved like her own child, walk clumsily towards Yug.

*Flashback*

Yug- Pishimaa, yeh bhi kaisa sawaal hai... Obviously I'll be more than happy if she completes her studies...

Manjiri smiled. Raghu entered the cabin.

Yug- Pishimaa, humne Gauri se saara sacch ugalwa dene ka ek plan socha hai...

Manjiri-(confused) Kya plan?

Yug- Hum chaaro, Gauri ko Kali ke against provoke karenge...uske saamne Kali ki itni praises karenge, ki she'll start feeling inferior... uske baad, pooja ke din, we'll get her intoxicated by feeding her ladoos with bhaag mixed in them, aur uske saamne, main aise behave karunga as if mujhe Kali mil gayi and I am going to marry her... Uske andar ka gussa usse saara sacch ugalwa dega, and since she'll be intoxicated, usse realize nahi hoga ki woh kya bol rahi...aise mein, woh saare guests ke saamne saara sach bol degi, jisse Daadi yaa Madhuriji ko aur games khelne ka koi mauka nahi milega...

Sharmila-(excited) That's a damn good idea Yug...

Manjiri-(unsure) Yeh kaam karega naa Yug?

Yug- Apne hi kaha tha Pishimaa, apne haq ke liye saam, daam, dand, bhed, sabke istamaal karo... toh we should try this plan...

Sharmila-(surprised) Kya baat hai Yug, beewi ke saath rehkar, tum mein bhi todhi akkal aayi hai...

Yug smirked and Raghu laughed. Manjiri looked at the three hesitantly.

Yug- Aur haan, Kali ko mat bataana yeh sab Gauri ne kiya hai... Jab Gauri confess karegi, tab let Kali hear it herself... I know usse sadma pahuchega... par woh yeh baat manane ko tayyar nahi hai ki Gauri uske saath aisa kuch kar sakti hai, so agar Gauri ko hi apne muh se confess karte hue sunegi, toh shaayad she'll get to know how low her sister can stoop.

Gauri looked angrily at Yug, remembering what happened 5 minutes ago

*Flash back*

Gauri was eating the laddoo, when she heard Yug take Kali's name. She peeped out of the window. Yug was talking to someone on the phone.

Yug- kali kaisi hai abhi?...Thank God she is fine...accha, get her to the mandir in 10 minutes... Kyun kya? Accident ke pehle Kali mandir jaane ke liye kyun nikali thi? Mujhse shaadi karne right, toh abhi, jab woh mujhe mili hai, and she is fine, toh I think we better end this soon... uske baad main aur Kali Puna jaayenge... Accha chalo, I'll be there...

He hanged the call and walked downstairs.

Gauri-(not in her sense) Mr. Yug Chaudhari, I won't spare you...

Yug-(least interested) Ab aise dekhti rahogi yaa main jaau?

Yug moved away from her in disgust. Daadi and Madhuri looked at her in shock as she disclosed the whole plan in the state of being drunk. Yug, Manjiri, and Sharmila happily watched their plan a success...

Gauri- (still blabbering) Aur humne hi Aryan se keh kar uski izzat...

Suddenly, someone held her wrist and turned her. Gauri's vision was blur and she didn't realize when Kali slapped her. She held her right cheek, which was stinging with pain. Before she could react, kali slapped her again.

Kali- (angrily) Tumne humara suhaag cheena...humne bardaasht kiya, humare pati humse nafrat karte the, hum phir bhi chup rahe... par ab... Nahi Gauri... tumne aaj ek ladki ki self-respect ko lalkara hai... Humne humesha tumhe har mushkil se bachaya...tumhari wajah se hum humari pehchaan, humari awaaz tak kho chuke the... Yeh sab humne tumhare liye kiya...

Gauri- yeh tumhara farz tha, tum humara kaala teeka ho...humare pair ki jooti...

This time, again someone held her hand and forced her to turn. She looked at Yug in fear, whose eyes were blazing fire.

Yug-(angrily) Agar tum ek ladki naa hoti, toh yahin maar deta main tumhe, without hesitating...par nahi, apna gussa control kar raha hoon...aur tumhari himmat kaise hui, meri beewi ko harm karne ki? aur yaad rakhna, woh koi Kaala teeka nahi hai, woh meri beewi hai, you get that...

Gauri-(desperately) Yug, humari baat suno...yeh Kaali tumhe koi jhoot suna rhai hai...tum humare pati ho...

Sharmila- Oh drama queen! Bas kar...abhi Kali ne tumhare kaan ke neeche bajaya, isiliye tumhare hosh thikaane hai...10 minute pehle tune hi saari sacchai bata di hume... So now, shut up and get out of here...

Vishwaveer looked at his daughter angrily.

Vishwaveer- Kali ne aaj nahi, tumh par bahut pehle haath uthaana chahiye tha... but jo bhi hua, accha hi hua... Sharmila ke saath galat karne ki saza mujhe aaj mil rahi hai...Chalo..

He pulled her with him. She tried to get out of his grip, but failed. Yug looked at Daadi in disgust.

Yug-Ramu kaka, humara luggage ready hai naa?

Daadi-(in shock) Kahaan jaa rahe ho bachua?

Yug-Pishimaa, Kali ke thikh ho jaane tak, hum meri maasi ke yahaan rahenge, aur uske baad Puna shift ho jaayenge... I can't stay in this house anymore.. jis Daadi ko apne zindagi ke saare decisions lena ka haq diya, unhone mujhse mera pyaar cheenana chaha...

Daadi-(pleading) Nahi bachua...

Kali-(weakly) Yug, please gussa mat hona... Daadi aapse pyaar...

Yug- Kali, maine tumhe discharge karke laaya, that doesn't mean you stress yourself..main yeh decision khud lena chahta hoon...

Kali- Yug, aapne yeh dekh ki daadi ne mujhe aapse dur kiya, par yeh nahi dekha ki kyun? Unhe lagta hai ki jaat-paat, dharam yeh sab zaroori hi... kundali zaroori hai..par Yug, agar aap unse door ho jaayenge, toh unka rishton pe se vishwas bhi khatam ho jaayega..aur agar aisa hua, toh yeh humari sabse badi haar hogi...please Yug, maan jaayiye...Daadi ko humpe vishwas karne ka ek mauka de dijiye...unka vishwas jitne ka mauka dijiye...

Manjiri- Haan Yug, agar Maaji ne kisise sabse jyaada pyaar kiya hai, toh woh aap hai...kya Kali ko bhi Maaji ke pyaar pe haq nahi? Maan jaayiye Yug...

Yug looked at Daadi in anger and nodded. All smiled happily

Yug-Ghar mein hoon, iska matlab yeh nahi ki maaf kiya...Chalo Kali...

Kali happily nodded and was about to walk, but felt pain in her leg, which was injured. Yug picked her in his arms and took her to the room. He made her lie on the bed.

Kali- Itna gussa?

Yug ignored her and started changing her leg's bandage.

Kali- Hum aapse kuch baat kar rahe hai Yug...

Yug- Mujhe Daadi ke baare mein koi baat nahi karni...

Kali- Humare baare mein baat kare?

Yug smirked and looked at her. She didn't understand why he was looking at her, with a smirk on his face.

Kai- Kya hua?

Yug-(leaning closer to her) Humare baare mein baat karni hai naa...

Kali blushed and pushed him away. He laughed seeing pink hues on her cheeks.

Yug- You are cute...

Kali- You are mad...

Yug laughed. She kept admiring him as he smiled happily after so many days. He kissed her forehead and side hugged her.

Yug looked at his wife, who was fast asleep, due to the medicines. He knew, now, after their marriage, his every decision would affect her too, and she had a right to comment on his decision. But then, she was completely against his decision of staying away from Daadi. He knew she would deny staying separate, but he also knew that he wouldn't tolerate Dadi near Kali.

Not finding any solutions, he walked out of the room, with his mobile in his hand. He looked out of the gallery. Sighing, he dialed her number.

She looked at her sleeping husband, sad that he is paying back for ruining Sharmila's life through Gauri and her selfishness. Gauri had been very rude to him and doubted his love for her when they returned to the Shanti Niwas after the pooja and the revelation at Chaudhari House.

Her reverie was broken when her mobile rang. She looked at the caller ID and walked out of the room.

Yug- Pishimaa, sab thikh hai naa wahan?

Manjiri- Haan Yug, bas Gauri iss sab se gussa ho gayi hai...itna ki unhone Acharyaji se bhi thikh se baat nahi ki...Waise, Kali thikh hai naa? Apne itni der raat ko phone kiya?

Yug- Woh Pishimaa... Yahaan mera dum ghoontata hai... Daadi ko apni aankhon ke saamne dekh, bas gussa aata hai... Aise mein unke saath rehna...aur jab main ghar se bahar rahungi, toh Daadi kali ke saath...

Manjiri- Yug, humare dil mein bhi yahin baat hai...Humse ab humari bacchi ki taqleefe badhti dekhi nahi jaati...Pehle hume laga ki aap aur Kali wahaan rahenge toh sab thikh hoga, par ab Gauri aur Madhuri ki harqate dekh dil mein dar sa beth gaya hai...par hum Kali ko jaante hi, woh kabhi nahi chaahengi ki aap uss ghar se dur jaaye...

Both stayed silent thinking of a solution.

Manjiri- Ek raasta hai...

Yug woke up to hear sound of bangles. He looked at his wife, who was dressed in blue saare. She was wiping her wet hair, humming to herself. He couldn't help but admire his beautiful wife. She wore the mangalsutra and was about to fill her hair-parting, when she felt his touch. She looked at her left to see him holding her hand.

Yug- Now, there is no need of a curtain...

Kali looked at him in confusion for a few seconds and then realized what he meant. She blushed. Yug filled her hair parting. Kali closed her eyes, as he marked her his.

Yug- (whispering in her ear) You look super gorgeous.

Kali blushed. She looked at him. He held her shoulders, eyes admiring her, a sweet smile playing on his lips.

Suddenly, the alarm rang, bringing both out of their trance. Yug looked at the watch. It was 5.30.

Yug-(surprised) Tum itni jaldi kyun uthi?

Kali- Aaj mera iss ghar mein, bahu ke roop mein pehla din hai..isiliye... I better get going... Sabke liye nastha banana hai..

She turned to leave, but fell down, due to her injured leg. Yug sighed and picked her in his arms and walked downstairs. She requested him to put her down, but he didn't. He made her sit on the kitchen counter and said.

Yug- Aaj tum meri teacher aur main tumhara chef...chalo, abhi mujhe kya karna hai, kaise karna hai yeh batao...main khaana banaunga...

Kali- Yug, par...

Yug kept his finger on her lips and winked.

Yug- Bolo mastarni ji, karna kya hai...

Kali- Aap nahi sunenge naa?

Yug nodded in a no, as he removed the vegetables from the refrigerator. Kali sighed and started instructing him.

Daadi, who had come to the kitchen to drink water, was aghast to see her grandson cooking and was about to shout at Kali, but kept quiet, when he snatched the knife from her.

Yug- Aaj no kaam, samjhi?

He applied a little wheat on her nose. She made an angry face and threw some wheat at him. The two had fun, while food-attacking each other. Daadi decided to leave, since she knew Yug would back answer her if she said anything to Kali.

Everyone settled to have the breakfast. Yug and Kali looked at Daadi, who was having her breakfast gloomily.

Yug- Daadi, Kali aur mujhe aapse kuch kehna hai...
Daadi- Haan, ab toh sirf tum dono ko hi saare faisle lene ka haq hai...

Raghu- Maa, aap kyun...

Yug signed him to ignore.

Yug- Daadi, main jaanta hoon ki aapko Kali utni pasand nahi hai...par aapne usse samjahane ki koshish bhi toh nahi ki hai...

Daadi- Tumne bhi toh apni Daadi ko nahi samjha?

Yug- Daadi, humne decide kiya hai ki hum har Saturday ko Puna jaayenge, jisse hum sabko required space milega... aur Monday ko vaapas aayenge...

Daadi- Jo tumhe thikh lage...

She left from there, much to Kali's sadness.

Kali- Daadi hume kabhi accept nahi karengi...

Yug and Raghu looked at each other sadly.

Raghu- Kyun nahi karengi? Unhe tumhari acchai dikhati hai beta, bas unke aankhon par ka samajh aur andhvishwas ka parda hata do... All will be fine then...

Yug- We'll try our best Kali...Daadi ko tumhe accept karna hi hoga..

Kali faked a smile.

Raghu- Toh main office ke liye nikalta hoon...

Yug- Bye dad...

Raghu nodded.

Kali-(confused) ek second...aap nahi jaa rahe office?

Yug nodded in a no.

Kali- Par Yug, aapka office jaana zaroori hai...

Raghu- Usse jyaada, Yug ka yahaan, tumhare paas rehna zaroori hai...

Kali- Yug, aapko bhi office jaana chahiye...

Yug- Ajeeb ho...yahaan beewiyan chahti hai ki unke husband kaam pe naa jaaye, aur tum ho ki, mujhe bhaga rahi ho?

Kali- Ji haan, kyunki agar aap nahi gaye, toh mujhe dawaayi denge, mujhe bacchon jaise treat karenge, aur naa jaane kya-kya karoge aap?

Yug- Tumhara dhyaan rakhna is my janam sidh addhikaar...

Kali- Office ka dhyaan rakhna is your farz... Aur farz adhikaar se bada hota hai,..

Yug was about to speak, when Raghu interrupted.

Raghu- Bacchon ki tarah mat lado... I have a solution, Yug aaj half day office mein kaam karna, half day yahan,ok?

Yug and Kali nodded, satisfied. Yug changed and came downstairs.

Yug- Kali, apna dhyaan rakhna, medicines lena, no kaam... aur koi uth-patang harkat karne ki sochna bhi mat, samjhi?

Kali- Haan baba...abhi aap jaao, Papa gaadi mein aapka wait kar rahe hai..

Yug cupped her face and stared at her. Kali was confused.

Kali- Kya hua?

Yug- I can't believe it Kali...aaj itne dino baad aisa laga raha hai, ki main tumhe phirse dekh raha hoon... I missed that smile and radiance on your face..mann kar raha hai, ki bas tumhe dekhta jaau...

Kali- Main bhi aapse dur nahi rehna chahti...but you need to go...

Yug sighed and nodded. He left while Kali smiled seeing his retreating figure.
