Raghu looked at his son who hadn't spoken a word in the meeting. He kept mum, and was in a trance. He was thinking about something, something that was worrying him. Raghu knew he wouldn't tell him, so thought of calling Mughada, when Yug's mobile rang. The members of the meeting looked at him in surprise. Yug looked at everyone, embarrassed and then walked out. Raghu was surprised that Yug hadn't even bothered to switch off his mobile in a meeting. "Pata nahi Yug ke saath aisa kyun ho raha hai?" The worried father thought as he saw Yug receive the call, through the glass of the window.
Yug- Haan Pishimaa, boliye...
Manjiri- (crying) Yug...
Yug-(tensed) Kya hua Pishimaa...
Manjiri-(crying) Kali... ka accident hua...
Yug-(shocked) Kya?
He felt as if the world ended. He couldn't think of anything. The only words he managed to speak were, "Kali kahan hai?"
He drove hysterically to the City Hospital and rushed in the hospital.
Yug-(to the receptionist) Kali Jha?
Receptionist- ICU, take left sir and then the first right...
Yug nodded and followed the direction dictated by the receptionist. He reached outside the ICU to see a broken Manjiri sitting on the chair crying. The police were trying to speak to her, but she was listening nothing to them. Manjiri looked up to see Yug. Yug went to her and kept his hand on her shoulder. She hugged him and started crying. Yug bent down to reach her level and said.
Yug- Pishimaa, please shaant ho jaayiye...mujhe batayiye,, hua kya?
She tried to speak, but just couldn't.
Police Inspector- Hum batate hai... Inki beti, Kali...mandir jaane ke liye ghar se bahar nikali thi, par raaste mein, Aryan naam ke kisi ladke ne usse kidnap kiya... aur jis car mein woh travel kar rahe the, uska accident hua... Aryan toh bach gaya, lekin Kali ko bahut chot lagne ki wajah se she lost blood... and abhi unke operation ke liye, A -ve blood group is needed, jo mil nahi raha hai...Doctors are trying hard, but... Manjiri- Husband...
Yug looked at her in shock and then at the police.
Yug- Sir, Aryan ne bataya usne aisa kyun kiya?
Police- Doctors usse first aid de rahe hai... Let's see agar kuch kehta hai toh...
The doctor came and told them that Aryan was ready to give a statement. Yug joined the police.
Aryan lay on the bed, as if nothing happened.

Yug threw a disgusted look at him.

Aryan- Ab agar aapki beewi aapke saath koi rishta nahi banayegi... kisi aur ghar mein jaake rukegi, toh aap karoge, boliye?
Yug's anger was rising every minute. He closed his eyes to control himself.
Aryan- Sorry Yug, par kya karu? Kaali ne hi kaha tha, ki Ram-Sita ke beech aane waale ko Raavan kehte hai, aur tumhare story ka Raavan... (smirking) main hoon janaab...
Yug looked at him in shock.
Aryan- Kya hua? Yaqeen nahi aa raha hai? Arrey tumhari beewi hai woh... hum dono ki naa hi kabhi shaadi hui thi, aur naa hi tumhari aur Gauri ki...yeh sab toh tumhari Daadi ka kiya-dhara hai, aur woh Gauri, usne kaha tha mujhe , Kaali ko kidnap karne...
He spoke with no regret, as if it was a joke. But Yug, he was shattered. Shocked, angry, guilty... he was in a turmoil of emotions. He walked out of the room, not before slapping Aryan. He went to Manjiri and hugged her and started crying. Manjiri tried to calm her down, but he continued crying.
Yug-(crying) Mujhse bahut badi galti hui Pishimaa... jis ladki ne mere liye itna sab kuch kiya, maine har waqt usse hurt kiya... apni beewi ko hurt kiya...
Manjiri was shocked to hear this. She broke the hug and looked at Yug, who was shattered. The doctor came and cleared his throat to gain their attention.
Doctor-(happily) Abhi-abhi hume teen donor mila hai... Hum kuch hi der mein operation shuru karenge... Ramji se apni bacchi aur beewi ke liye prathna kijiye...
Manjiri and Yug looked at each other, happily shocked.
Yug- Mujhe toh samajh hi nahi aa raha ki Kali ke Ramji meri kaunsi pariksha le rahe hai... Usse mujhse dur karke, waapas laa rahe hai, phir dur kar rahe... aisa kyun Pishimaa?
Manjiri wiped her tears and said
Manjiri- Kyunki aap unke pyaar ke laayak hi nahi hai Yug... kaash aapne unpar pehle bharosa kiya hota... toh humari bacchi...
She looked at the ground sadly. The nurse came
Nurse- Aap mein se koi ek hi yahaan reh sakta hai...
Manjiri nodded and she left.
Yug- Pishimaa, aap please mujhse gussa mat hona... Kali mujhse aise naraaz hui hai, aur agar aap bhi gussa karogi, toh pata nahi mera kya hoga... Please...
She cupped his face.
Manjiri- Nahi Yug, hum apne bacche se gussa kaise reh sakte hai Lekin abhi hume Kali ki tension ho rahi hai...Yug, unhone humesha aapki beewi ka darja chaha... Main chahti hoon, ki unki yeh iccha puri ho...
Yug- Pishimaa, aap kehna kya chahti hai?
Manjiri- Aapko apni beewi ke har insult ki, har dard ki, aapke rishte ke saath kiye gaye ghatiya majaak ka badla lena hoga... burayi ke khilaaf, Kali ke yeh jung, aapko ab continue karni hogi...Aapko apni shaadi ka sacch sabke saamne laana hoga
Yug was dazed. He didn't understand what to speak.
Manjiri- hum jaante hai, iss waqt aapko kuch samajh nahi aayega... lekin, iss waqt, Kali ke thikh hone tak, agar aapka aur unka rishta nahi suljha toh, hume darr hai ki Gauri kuch aisa kar degi jisse Kali humesha aapse dur jaayegi... Aaj unhone jo karne ki koshish ki, uske baad... I am scared Yug... main apni bacchi, aur aapke saath koi risk nahi le sakti, aap samajh rahe hai naa?
Yug nodded. He wiped his tears and stood up.
Yug- Aap ghar pe kisiko mat bataana ki Kali yahaan hai, aur Aryan ko arrest kiya hai... hume yeh ladaai ladni hogi, Pishimaa, Kali ke liye...
Manjiri nodded.
Yug- Main jaata hoon, aap please mujhe Kali ke baare mein batate rahiye...
He peeped in the operation theater where the doctors were operating Kali. A lone tear trickled down his cheek, seeing his wife lie lifeless on the bed. He left from there.
