Yes absolutely, for AMK that is exactly what it is. He hadgiven up on her long time ago and has no intention of reviving the relationship. He wants to forget it and move on with the new life with his , his men, people of Parnagarh!!

Ofcourse, while it's sort of left to reader interpretation, in my mind - the purple bruises (specifically on wrists... so no, not domestic violence) indicates her wringing her bangles so hard, that it's left bruises behind. Especially after she got the news that Akbar was caught/imprisoned.

According to her husband and everyone watching, she's meant to have no relationship with her past life/son. Being in the political circle, she has to keep up that facade, and keep her emotions to herself (from husband/shehzaadi & friends etc) ...an once-ambitious woman has been reduced to this mellow Lady... it means she has no outlet (hence woman trapped inside analogy/prisoner)

So, she vents in private, by excessive fidgeting? Silent tears? Etc

That was my 'logic' behind it. 😳
