these lines , when read it before i felt like i got the undertone but today engaging with them again... i realized what it truly meant .

Of course... even in Akbar's confession, he said na.. that she used to cry every night after her return from the capital... if she didn't love him, if she didn't have a conscience, why would she cry?

Problem is...

For most mothers love for a child > anything in this world.

For Ammijaan, the love for a child could not be > than sorrow/adversity/giving up love/poverty etc...

so she left...

From the lines 'purple bruises' on her wrists... which she tries to cover up with her sleeve... (chapter 57)

it shows she's always been quietly nervous, never really HAPPY happy... never quite forgiven herself for leaving her child... it was a Patriarchal society... she couldn't go against her husband (esp a powerful one) or who knew what he'd do to Akbar?

In secret, she has tried to reconnect, but Akbar would have none of it!

Another mind blowing chapter loaded with power packed duel. Finally the justice is served. So so happy that Khalil is no more 👏

And Akbar waited there - must have taken him at least 15 -20 minutes or so... but he waited, to make him feel 'helpless', to make him understand 'death' before he actually killed him... to let him know he he's made so many innocent people feel! I thought that was greater justice than throwing him in the dungeons/menial labour (where he would've continued his ayyaashi by bribing/bullying others) or any other punishment (where he could've escaped😡)

Whatever happened to FS? 😲

Remember how he'd planned (wily man) in his last confrontation with the Shehzaade that he better pack up and leave...
see he's gone missing since! 😡

Akbar's mother finally did one good deed to her son, God bless her 😊

Lashy di..Lashy di..Lashy di..by the end of the update,I was both crying and laughing at the same time..that was the effect of the re-union..even throughout the update, I was going through an amalgam of emotions..

Oh my God, I feel so relieved,so happy now. You've put me on the edge of the seat for quite a long time,di..and it's totally worth all the pain.⭐️

So,the blue veiled lady is Ammijaan and she contacted Shehanshah.God,I was so happy reading about his entry..glad he didn't arrive too late like the police-men of movies😆😆 I feel like singing tune maari entriyaan re dil mein baji ghantiyaan..tang tang😆

The first thing I did was go to the end of the page and see what you've written in red..whether it's join me in 20 days or something else..only then,I started reading😆

The best part of your writing is..each and every character,big or small,irrespective of he circumstances has maintained consistency throughout the novel..be it Khalil's utter devilishness or Chota Zayaan's eagerness to learn, you've made sure everyone remains in the character.

Khan Sahib caressing Heera with back of his hand so that his calluses don't hurt her is one such example..❤️ and how both of them read each other's mind and decided to let go of the issue simply screams SOULMATES!!

I'm too happy to think of how close we are to the ending,di..but you can't be away from writing for too long,okay?

I don't know what else to say,di..I want to say many things but unable to properly express them.

You know for the last edit... (reunion) I was in two minds -

One using the one I'd used... and two, the one in your siggie - both would've suited perfectly... but I just settled for this one!

And the re-union edit is perfect with the tent as backdrop and few gashes on Khan Sahib'd handsome face..⭐️

I know... but it's not a modern story na... where things can get done quickly...
that's the problem with political/historical thrillers.. the consequences for any act, are more far-reaching, dangerous and take longer to resolve😒

And thank you for saying this... you know that was the most heavily edited part of the entire 58? 😕 I've changed those paragraphs about 10 times... because it was a subtle momentary question/doubt/insecurity in their heads - but not meant to take away from the beauty of the moment either...

I'm too happy to think of how close we are to the ending,di..but you can't be away from writing for too long,okay?
