2 of them roaming around in Karate suits fighting each other, which looks precariously close to real fighting! đ¤Third one roaming around with handbag in hand - thinking she's off shopping!
Lana's like thisYou know Lana... your every observation, every explanation, every nuance -- even the breaths they took... why AMK did what he did, why Heera did what she did... it's like you went into my head figuratively and wrote it on behalf of me!Not one word otherwise!Greatest compliment to a writer if a reader can feel so in-tune with her characters

Some chapters sped like the rapid rivers, some splashed and made us gasp and hold our breaths. Some enthralled us is like the magic of the beautiful lakes. Some playful like the streams. But this one was calm and 'nishchal' like the deep seas. Seemingly calm but with multitude of currents beneath. And this stillness is much needed to feel the currents.đHow beautiful dear... you need the calmness to be able to feel the currents thereon! đA 'home', which most probably couldn't be called HER home ever again. As such it hurts to lose one's home. But to live in it without any rights over it is twice the punishment.đI know...After all, the chief-maid was the only one who knew the story. And even what she knew - was truly nothing at all.Gauri had suggested returning to Khan Sahib after Heera was turned away from Bansi but Heera had declared it an impossibility. Gauri must have thought that Khan Sahib cared for Heera as much as Heera did for him. ( She was the only one fully aware of what Heera felt for the stranger) and that is why he had come back to rescue her from Khalil at a great risk.Exactly what she thinks...đHeera must have felt that Gauri's assumption is hardly a percent of the whole truth even if it were true. Ustad Khan Sahib had a multitude of other motives as well. But how fully correct Gauri was. Khan Sahib's care for Heera was the ONLY reason why he came back. The basic jist of it is true... but as you said the story is so complex with so many layers to it... you see it from different people's viewpoints - each would have a different take about it!'Khan Sahib has kindly offered to take up the post of Mansabdar! This line reminded me of 'Brutus is an honorable man.' But the sting was for Akbar and not the people.AMK yes... đ paavam! This time, even the announcer was dumbstruck - and had to be prompted by the Lady to continue.
The extent of the shock the marriage would inflict on the Parnagarhis was expressed very effectively in this one single line.đđźOh really? Thank you so much đł I could envisage a middle aged plump man staring wide-eyed at Harka as though 'Did I hear right? You're going to wed him?'which is why, the Sahib and I have discussed this issue and come up with an idea... an idea where we both stand together, to care for Parnagarh..Heera, the diplomat!đ Making it sound as though the wedding was a joint decision made solely for the people's welfare.Of course, she is!.. the Sahib has assured me that we carry on working, living, eating and praying here, as we always have... nothing changes!'
She cast a hard glance at the young man, after having put him in the spot 'Isn't it true, Sahib?
Heera, the strategist!đđ
Yup
Bottom-line - this was the old Mansabdar's room and it would stay that way.Why do i feel that Heera herself will invite him to ger father's room when she sees his sincerity as a Mansabdar and understands and accepts his motives and actions.
HmmmBesides, the potted plant at the doorway held his gaze for a blink - it was the beautiful rose shrub that he'd felt quite guilty about prodding and poking during his search for the Farmaan.
The plant had actually bounced back to life - its flowers fresher than ever 'Thank you...' A flash of contentment shone in his eyes.
This is another very clever piece of writing.đ
During the farmaan hunt, i was wondering why there was elaboration on his tryst with the rose plant and the prick it gave him, as it had nothing to do with the secret hiding place at all. The guilt he felt while disturbing it, practically uprooting it to succeed in his mission, the prick, and now the lushness of the plant is symbolic. It must have assuaged his guilt giving him hope that his love that he had dented and damaged could thrive and flourish like the rose plant.đł
At that point, he had no idea whether it was hidden in that pot - so not wanting to leave behind any places unchecked he checked in this place too... but... since this was an exceptionally beautiful plant personally tended to by Heera, he was very guilty about doing it..
like how Bahadur is so dear to him, her plants are dear to her... he understands...
and now that it's bounced back he's happy for her...
that's the practical side and there is a symbolic side - which you have explained! đ
So much so, that the traditionalists began sympathising towards the Kunwarsa of Manswar, ready to overlook the prince's misdeeds.
It is lines such as these that add dollops of realism to the story. Even today when there are stray incidents of honour killing, had there been no resentments it would have sounded utopian. The division of opinion in the people was the most natural thing and inclination towards the swine too a distinct possibility in some.đĄ
Of course... even today, people are ready to overlook the misdeeds of their own kakshi/jaathi/matham/caste/class but not accept others!
Heera stood like a lone pebble on the seashore - moving with the tide, be it a gentle current or a stormy wave - her inner grief drowned under the crucial obligation to keep-up appearances, over and over again.
How very touching!đ
đ
Nor did she forget how he'd returned the favour by spying on her troupe.
đ
>>>> See this is what I mean...it's not just one betrayal.. it's betrayal on so many levels!
'I've seen the look you had in your eyes at Aidabad, whenever his name was mentioned... and... and I haven't seen that look again, ever since you've returned...'
Now, this is Gauri, the perceptive.đ
>>> and she's right!
I thought you would be only too happy to welcome him back, after everything he's done to make up for his mistakes!'
Gauri, still not convinced. A small nag that spots her Baisa's difference in behavior.đ
>>> of course! Heera is not the kind to hold grudges... so what is this extra special grudge about?đ
About to be wedded by next evening, the feeling was a funny one to describe.
Again, perfectly in sync with Khan Sahib's portrayal so far. Had he enjoyed the affair it would have been unusual.
>>> he's just as worried as he's relieved for her...
I've been meaning to mention this since I saw you, a week ago... you remind me of someone...' he turned to his fellowmen for suggestions 'I can't recall who it is though... '
Lashy, share your badams with him please.đ
>>> arre AMK was in fulltoo disguise mode na... almost unrecognisable... except for height maybe... this is part and parcel of his job!
Masks her sorrow with a smile'
Akbar wasn't surprised. After all, these were meant to be the most special days in a girl's life. But for the Sahiba, it was effectively ruined - making it the worst week of her life. What was worse, this was one nasty reality he would never be able to rectify.
Khan Sahib, the perfectly perceptive and sensitive.đAwww
'She masks her sorrows with a smile... but, that is only because she doesn't know my son... a time will come when she does... and then she'll realise that there is no one on Earth who could care for her better than my son could!'
He wiped his eyes.
đ
Isn't this the jist of Part 3?đł
Yes... âşď¸
Thank you so so so much for this 3 AM review.. I cherished itđ¤
