Thanks for the info Lashy. The administrative system of the successful rulers, be it Mughals or the Rajahs, were exceptional, especially considering the absence of Technology, without which we seem totally lost these days. Considering the huge manpower they had to control, they had to be on the alert all the time. Ofcourse, loyalties were stronger then, yet it was no mean task.
