According to Sachnilk,Sunny Sanskari is 4 crores and Kantara is 33 crores(all languages) after afternoon shows counting.Kantara 1 was a huge hit so I am not shocked by the results.But based on the first day prediction by Indian express Sunny Sankari did good too.Dekhta hai how much really will be the first day opening for both the movies

The fact that SSKTK is able to stand on its own despite the MIGHTY KANTARA is commendable itself!!

Not good to take early estimates from Sacnilk... it's just the trend for the time being (look at the disclaimer)... with afternoon shows it's just half of the day, so, personally, I also wait until the night shows numbers to have an approximate boxoffice...

It is a national holiday.The numbers are double of a normal day.

Besharam oening day on Gandhi Jayanthi was 19 crores.Day 2 was 6 crores. Even if the film was rejected.The real opening numbers were 10 crores on a working day, with a 40% fall on day 2.

BOI can call a film a disaster from day 1 or average,depending on whose film it is. The Industry knows the truth.After all Janta is not going to produce the next film.I don't know why they even bother

Mid-budget Urban Rom Coms usually open in the 7.5-9 Cr range. TBMAUJ, Bad Newz, Param Sundari etc. Did they include Rocky Rani when they said this, because it was a much more expensive film? That film opened at 11 cr.

TJMM obviously doubled the average genre collection with 16 cr.

Not sure what Box office means with this article. 7.5 Cr to 16 Cr is a huge range. Is 11 Cr even good, considering the national holiday, promotions, chartbuster music and the goodwill of the Dulhania series( It's all but a sequel, even if they don't say it 🤣).

Competition with Kantara meant it could have been a washout ..that did not happen so national holiday factor is neutralized by clash ..
