His approach gentle enough... concern visible in his behavior. As he spoke about his another life, there is yearning in his heart, to protect her, to never let her shed another tear. To have this rare and beautiful girl by his side for entire life to love him, to end his loneliness. To form the relationship with her which can fill the void.

What he calls beautiful mistake is mistake indeed. Most beautiful one. But this is not the only one... his incomprehensible protectiveness towards her. Her worry about his well-being. The tiny flutter in his heart is beautiful mistake. The faint shade of pink on her cheeks is beautiful mistake too. Their attraction towards each other is beautiful mistake.

Nothing is hidden from the trio. What can be more beautiful than friendship.? And what can be more precious than caring friends?

The repercussions of Khan sahib's proximity... she is just teenager after all. The sentiments kindled by his presence is something so natural. Sweet sixteen as aunty calls it.

The administrative system of the successful rulers, be it Mughals or the Rajahs, were exceptional, especially considering the absence of Technology, without which we seem totally lost these days. Considering the huge manpower they had to control, they had to be on the alert all the time. Ofcourse, loyalties were stronger then, yet it was no mean task.

Writer-e-khaas,

This chapter felt like a turning point ... a crossroads, where at the end it seemed Heera was headed in one direction towards Bansi and Akbar to Parnagarh ... yet we all know their paths will have to meet again, eventually.

And of course a smile creeped up on my face when Heera reflected she was "Hiding Behind the Stranger" as that is the title and theme of the story ...

And, also the theme of my take so here goes. The take is in Harka's words, in flashback mode, when one day she looks back at what happened.

1. Hiding behind the protective shield of the stranger were enemies known and unknown to me, including the Kunwarsa who I believed to be my only hope.

Perhaps, it was a lesson on who truly is the stranger ... sometimes it is the person you know more that can be the true stranger.

2. Hiding behind the stranger gave me a sense of comfort ... but it felt false when my gnawing suspicions returned about his mysterious words of caution.

I needed to keep some guard against whoever my enemies were, hence, I decided to play a little ploy with two different messages sent in two divergent paths.

3. Hiding behind the facade of the business-like stranger was a calculative mind that should have been my biggest enemy. Instead, that mind was fighting a heart that wanted to be my closest protector. At that time, little did I know, he himself was struggling between the two as he faced his men.

He did not want his men to pay for where his heart was taking him and pledged to get back to mission. A pledge that was already at risk when he came to check on whether I was okay.

4. Hiding behind the stranger and his stoic poise of strength was the pain of losing everything that was so similar to mine.

When I said , 'But the wound never truly heals, does it Khan Sahib?' , I didn't realize that a similar sentiment vibrated through Akbar who had suffered deep wounds similar to mine. Yet, though I didn't know, I could feel a clear connect.

Or else, how could his response- 'I wonder why God gives, if he must take away?' be such a mirror reflection of how I felt a void that felt near impossible to fill.

5. Hence, hiding behind who I called a "stranger" was the only person I felt close to sharing the pains related to my jijisa. My own fears came to the fore. My pain outpoured as I recited my jijisa's last words.

When he offered me his handkerchief to console, perhaps it was meant to be that I held his arm ... as these strong arms would protect me more than either he and I knew that moment.

Yet, as we untangled from that awkward stance, we both felt we had to distangle from this increasingly awkward connection.

As I endured another battle between duty and temptation, he was fighting between mission and heart.

As behind that stranger was a shrewd mind which had deducted the meaning of jijisa's poem better than I could, that the farmaan was hidden in Parnagarh.

Hence, he felt he was moving on and away as he headed to Parnagarh and I felt the same moving on to Bansi.

However, was what had occurred as easy to wash away as the kohl stains Akbar ordered to be removed from his tunic?

Only time and writer-e-khaas can tell!

Thanks again for a beautiful chapter ... the interaction between Akbar and Harka was so meaningful with the shared pain and connection. They were each others' answers to how that void would be filled though they felt they were on separate paths. I can't wait to see how you bring the separate paths back together as that is bound to be.

Hey Lashy,

Loved this chapter too... Sahib unable to hide his feelings and Sahiba wanting to embrace hers towards him with restraint.. They opened up their innermost chambers so effortlessly which was the highlight for me...

Looks like now they will go to their respective destinations or will they? I doubt Akbar will have the courage to fight his conscience to betray the one who has made room in his heart... Waiting for all of this to unfold..

I read that Rithi was unwell... I hope the kiddo is back to
Her normal self...

Take care and waiting for the next chapter... 🤗

This story is getting more and more interesting chapter by chapter. Your deadly play make us craving for more and more. This totally unexpected emotional blast is something most beautiful thing I've ever read. How come the emotional blurt out could be beautiful unless MY CHELLAM writes it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ You just nailed it darling. The way you sketch both Heera and Akbar as mirror of another is totally OUTSTANDING!! 👏👏
Really? Thank you so so so much dear... *big squishy hug*🤗

But what you've done to me? Today I woke up earlier than usual. The very first thought came is not about what to cook or what to do today as always but It's all about AKBAR, HEERA and thoughts about THEIR NEXT MOVES and It's going on!! Really... you're HYPNOTIZING me with your MASTER MIND. So that my thoughts always lingering around HBAS world. 😡
You still haven't allowed me to mention what those thoughts were😆

The way Heera just unjustified all the suspicions around Sahib and His lingering voice 'Just stay safe...' as a her protective armor is well written Chellam. But we poor know the truth about him na.😭 At the start of the chapter you've showed us a strong and Intelligent Sahiba who's capable enough to come up with alternate decisions by observing the dangerous current situations but later of the chapter you've showed us a very fragile teenager who's fighting with her loneliness and inner feelings. Hmm!! 😭
She is both... isn't she? Like how we're different in an office setting compared to how we are with one we love most...

Emotional Heera couldn't decode her sister's last words but I think Akbar did. Somewhat I'm happy that Farman will be in safe hands very soon. Because the way Akbar making his closed ones to stay out from his deadly plays, clearly show us that he's up to something that he can't expose to his dear ones. May be he find the way to protect HIS SAHIBA from the symbolism of burning of scrolls. 😉 Let's wait and see.
Hmmm..let's see what happens...

he'd lost it all too - his father, his family, his childhood, his innocence, his home and his identity.

Here what does he mean by 'His identity'? What his family background? I think If he's from an ordinary family he won't worry about identity and I don't think here he meant the 'Ustad'. Then what It could be? I recalled one sentence Akbar uttered ' I think it's wrong to punish a child for a parent's fault! ' Is it the same happened to Akbar as well? When will we get to know about these Lashy Sahiba?
By losing his father's business... by losing his right to a peaceful life.. he lost his identity.. he no longer carries his father's lineage/surname even though he rightfully should... thus, he lost his identity...
for the rest of the questions, answer is 'later on... patience, my darling.. patience...'

Between forgot tell about Dhani.. She's one star ⭐️ And another star is Azeez who is strong enough to argue with akbar. 👏 A intriguing chapter MY LADY totally loved it!! 😳🤗
Thank you, My lady...
For some reason, I am now so tempted to go back and check out your first reply to my post..
Love you dearie.. 🤗

Hellooo akkaaa🤗 Commenting right away this time...and on this chapter, though I have the earlier one left.😆

First things first..this was 'BEAUTIFUL' to say the least!! You had me in tears while reading and if it is possible, you've made me fall in love with Heera and Akbar more than I already did.❤️
I already used this line.. and can't use it again.. so lashy wonders what else she must use!🤔

So starting from the start, I'm scared...more scared than Heera is cos she has no clue about her jijasa's reality. She trusts him to be a good person, confides in him to an extent and genuinely believes he loved her jiji...I can't imagine her reaction when she comes to know first about the marriage proposal and then about his true nature. My heart goes out to this lady.😒
I can understand Sojji... I'm scared too...

I kinda expected her sharp mind to catch the fact that the scrolls weren't reaching the intended people, because of no response in so many days. But she's way ahead..she has to an extent decoded Akbar's words, it's planted a seed of doubt in her mind, though he's been most careful to leave no hints. And she has seen enough of him to know he's good at heart, never the one who would hurt a good soul. But her internal conflict is going to stay now.
With this underlined, I'd say you've understood her sentiments to the T... this is exactly how she feels... she knows he is good of heart, but she constantly fears that since there's something lurking within - something she does not know - she is afraid of that 'secret'...

His words 'Just stay safe' playing on her mind time and again..it soothed her nerves.- the voice, those words. She knew he cared.😳

Coming to Akbar letting the scrolls burn in the last chapter...it was one of my favourite parts. Again, so many emotions, so many conflicts in his mind...he needs his heart to clear it for him before he can explain anything to his three mates. The will to protect someone had come in between his duty for the first time..letting the scrolls burn meant destroying the biggest clue and he knew the repercussions it would have once the news reached the Shehzaade..but he did it, his heart won this round.
I think even if it cleared in his heart... he wouldn't really express it to his mates...😳 too personal to him, you see... for now, he can only trust his men to keep quiet about it... if it ever came out in the future, it's all --->

And then one of my favourites here- When Azeez says they work for the Shehzaade because they work for HIM! They don't hesitate to stand in front of him and question him, they have earned the right to do it. It warmed my heart to see the love and respect they have for Akbar...they would stand by him in every battle he faces and never leave his side. Akbar is lucky to have these three..and he knows it. And he loves them equally..he knows he is responsible and he'll not let his actions harm them.
Of course, he is lucky to have these three! And he cares for them like a brother, even if he never allows them to call him 'bhaijaan'

And finally the Akbar- Heera conversation. He cares for his girl..and how much?! Whenever he's with her, his heart involuntarily takes over his mind! How magical was that scene..that heartfelt conversation!!!
Awww really?☺️

I love how they are a different person when they are in each others' company. They connect...at a different level altogether! That's why they delve into each others' hearts and bring out each others' innermost secrets, unknowingly and unwillingly at times. They bring out each others' emotions, the deepest wounds which they are accustomed to bury deep within them, owing to the lives they live and their position. ❤️❤️❤️
I loved this paragraph... sojji.. so beautiful!🤗

I cried when Heera spoke about her Jiji's memories...it shook me! She is scared...she admitted it to the last person she would have imagined, but she did. I couldn't no cry there..her rare vulnerable side. Life is so so unfair! They both didn't deserve such hard lives..they're human after all..and young! And the irony of it, he was somewhere associated with the men who were the cause of all this pain to her, yet he can do nothing about it...how could that heart not ache!😭
Awww don't cry dear... here a big hug🤗
... yeah life's just not fair... 😭

The moment where she mistakes his sleeve to be the handkerchief is so beautifully written..a tender moment between the two, so unexpected. 😳
Thanks a lot dear... thanks a lot for the thumbs up!

And Dhani..her reaction was expected. Her Baisa and Khan Sahib..she just can't imagine this could happen.
Dhani must've been shocked... lol...

Heera has just fallen for him, hasn't she? That last part...she keeps telling herself not to think too much, that this isn't right, that she should move on and concentrate on her life.
Yet Akbar, his presence, his touch, his words have affected her in a way noone else has. That scene could only be experienced..I can't describe it in words!❤️❤️
Awww ...☺️

And the end...Akbar has decide to take this as a mission henceforth, but his heart is going to come in the way at some point. There's no way he can disregard it. I wanna see what he does once he gets his hands on the Farmaan...if he manages to that is.
>>>😉

Phew! An amazinggg update once again! You're tooo good a writer...you create such magic with the characters! 🤗

I'm yet to review the previous update, I know..but can't today after already such a long one for this one. Thought of doing that first and then for this chapter, but I just wanted to review this one as soon as I was done reading. 😆
Love ya loadsss 🤗
Love you more da...
Btw, your reviews are getting amazinger and amazinger... 🤗

A small time together in the meadows with the 'stranger' - This one clause itself sounds like poetry Stuti ❤️

and the moment must have been embalmed in the deepest of her heart forever. This chapter gifted me with an immense soothing feeling in my heart... Loved the part of the conversation, and Heera's lonely moments of nurturing those thoughts... 😳
Really???? Like the effect your review had on me... you cannot imagine!⭐️

The chapter has some interesting points too I guess... A composed Heera writing letter to Mahindar, and has come up with a good plan of sending it at the right place. Heera's methodical approach to every matter and the ability of coming out with a mature solution so calmly is really appreciable. 16 years is not an age of taking a decision so articulately about difficult and complex political matters- though that time 16 years old are easily considered to be in adult group, but the complications and adversities against her has compelled her to become more matured, and being a heiress of aristocratic birth and a composed young lady by nature, she is able to sit for any test in her life!
You're right... she is a very intelligent young girl... but, life has forced her to act more matured than she needs to... in this chapter we see her intelligent side and her vulnerable side both

If Heera's plan succeeds Mahindar will get to know about Heera's whereabouts and will start executing his further plans. Here Heera is imprisoned under Akbar's eyes, and there Mahindar, whom she thinks her biggest well-wisher, is also from the enemy camp. Heera has nowhere to go fleeing from the shadow of the shrewd prince... The story is growing more and more irresistibly interesting day by day! 😃 😃
Really? thanks so much for saying this...😳
Now Heera in her emotional turmoil blurted out the poem of her Jiji in front of Akbar, which most probably is a clue of reaching to the farmaan... Akbar is too much intelligent, and he will fathom it very soon!! 😲 He has already guessed that the farmaan is right in her own house and he will get that... It is interesting to feel Akbar's inner tussle between his love and his duty to the prince. For this moment, probably the duty comes first to him...
you have outlined this so well... then again, you're a writer yourself...

The best part of the chapter was the time they spent together, needless to say! This part can only be cherished; I have no ability to explain the feelings in words. Loved the way they opened up their agony in front of themselves, and their pains are completely same... In spite of being completely different individuals of different mindset, background and personality, the first time both realized that they are so same from inside; the string of pain of losing the dear ones have bound them in a single strain... Heera's tears, Akbar's support to her... everything was so heartwarming and soothing!
OMG Stuti I thought one of your earlier reviews tugged at my heart the most... but now this one did it even more... ❤️❤️
❤️

One of the gossip girl has spotted them! OMG! 😲 😆
Loool.. but she stopped gossiping 😆 bolti band!

Loved the chapter di! Waiting for next...
Thank you so (x million times) for this dear... you have no idea how much this means to me 🤗
