okey i want to give my pov for salim and dont take this as i defend him but these couple days i watched old episode when salim still 8 or 9 year old and sth bug me and want to share with you guys, i love jodha jalal but i wont blind if there flaws in their character.

1. Salim slap murad , okey now these two are the collateral damage from jalal decission during conoration, salim still feel pain, hurt and anger and murad come at the wrong moment, anar know salim mind are not in good state thats why she told murad that was not the place to talk, and when murad told her to shut up and call her kanzi or sth like that ( is it right how i write it ? ) he was kinda rude to her, and now salim of course wont accept the woman he love being insult, and to be honest jalal would do the same, jalal wont accept anyone insult his belove wife, so whats the different between salim and jalal when it become to defend the woman they love

2. Salim defend anar not just because he love him but because for him all people are the same, he said in dek that even a dancer is a person too, and i think he is genuie bout this, i remember when jodha jalal wedding anniversary there one dancer from red light want to perfome, ruq refuse but jodha and salim think all people in mughal are their people no matter what the social status.

3. Jalal decide to bring salim slap murad on dek, jodha already told jalal to talk to salim alone first but he refused, now the storm have come and what jodha fear of will happen, salim felt that jalal only want to humiliate him, first when salim coronation stop by shah e ran messenger he still in the dark to why that being stop and jalal still dont reveal the reason, and after salim get to know the reason jalal give him task as what will salim do if he is the king and salim give his answer and everyone happy proud and satiesfield with his answer and jalal annouce in dek for salim conoration but again without telling the reason instead jalal pick murad, did jalal think how it shamefull for salim that time ? how can jalal expect salim to understand when jalal didnt gave the expalanation first, and its happen few time, and when jalal try to explain later it already too late because the pain in salim heart are getting deeper, salim said he didnt matter if jalal pick murad but what salim angry is the way jalal doin it, for salim is it necesarry for jalal to keep humiliate him ?, need lot effort for jalal and salim to fix their relationship.

4. Now bout salim even i dislike his character but since i watched the old episode im kinda feel his pain, jalal almost never show how much he love salim, salim very afraid of jalal even when he talk he avoid eye contact and always nervous very different when he talk to jodha, i know jalal want salim strong like him but he is too hard on salim, jodha always told jalal to take slow step regarding salim but jalal always make comparison when he is at salim age what he already can do but jalal forget that he and salim are different people and the situation when he was kid different too, i know as wali ahad jalal expect salim to think his people but what can you expect from 8-9 years old kid ?, how can make a kid understand what his duty and responsible, when nadira fell on pool jalal said to salim that he could lie that he is the one who push her so her parents wont get fired by ruq ? i was kinda wth , how can a kid that doin nothing wrong must confess doin sth wrong ?, and the fall out when jalal slap salim and send him to war with rahim and man singh, there are hurt and pain in salim heart because of his childhood, he grow up without his parents love and guide, just like young jalal who think hamida didnt love him, salim think jodha and jalal didnt love him, the bad memory from his childhood inprint so strong in his mind, he kept repeating how jalal never listen to him whenever jalal punish him and thats the proove that how his childhood effecting him.

5. Now i know some people wont agree with me but i hope in this matter jodha stay beside salim, salim need someone to gude her, to show him the right way, need someone who can heal pain in his heart, jodha always stay beside jalal in bad and good why cant she do the same for her son ?, i know some think jodha very weak in salim matter, but here we talk about a mother who must survive for 9 year without her son, a mother who must watched his son being send away to war in early age, she cant give her love and protection for his son in childhood, jodha lost salim once and she wont lost for the second time, i just hope jodha be strong so she can handle salim and make him a better person, her love can change jalal so i hope her love can change salim.

and for precap i think sth big happen that make jodha angry like that to jalal, cant wait for nexr episode

Salim's greatest weakness has been his inability to express his innermost feelings with any one. He feels let down by Murad. He feels that his father played with his emotions and favored Murad.

In today's situation, I feel that Murad should not have addressed Anarkali as a 'kaneez' too. After all Murad and Salim are more like buddies and less like brothers. Murad very well knows that Salim is hopelessly in love with Anarkali. Where was the need to provoke him? There was no need for Salim to reciprocate with a physical assault either. Fault lies with both of them.

I was also wondering why the otherwise humble Murad was being shown offended with his newly acquired title of Shah Shah being disrespected by Salim. If he is so worried about that position being disrespected, then in the same vein he should not have addressed Anarkali as a 'kaneez' and provoked Salim. The manner and tone of voice that he used to address Anarkali as a 'kaneez' was degrading to not only Anarkali but any other 'kaneez' too. He as the newly anointed Shah Shah should have conducted himself with the dignity befitting that title and been respectful towards the 'kaneez' who are a part of the mahal staff and the awaam too.

Murad attacked Salim with the equation and freedom existing between brothers. Salim reciprocated in anger, with a slap. Suddenly the 'audha' factor factor has cropped up.

Pathetic, inconsistent natakiya roopantar.

Had Jalal communicated his decision to crown Murad as the heir apparent with Salim, ahead of the coronation, this nauseating situation would never have happened.

I wish to see a strong mother in Jodha who deals with this situation fearlessly and sensitively. Not a worried, tearful Jodha. This fiery queen has it in her to change Salim. As per the NR, if she could bring about positive changes in the once heartless Jalal, she can definitely bring calmness and self confidence in Salim, after all she is his mother.

I think Jalal should have spoken to Salim first in private and then may be called the DEK if he felt so. I am not asking Jalal to excuse Salim but to ensure that he doesn't lose his son while trying to be the king.

IF after coming back to the family' after his training as a warrior Jalal had taken the pains to make Salim understood the "Kingship responsibilities" and have put him through some form of one on one mentoring through some episodes then this crisis arise and he is trying to solve the problem in a tricky' way so Salim might learn later and decide to hide this I will not be upset with his methods towards his son. Here the writers sucks big time. As a viewer I could then say that after all the investment done by Jalal as a King and a Father to bring out the best in Salim he has failed to live up to the expectations.

However the Scenario painted by the writers is different and therefore both Jodha and Jalal sucks as father and mother and their son sucks as a son period (dysfunctional family in the name of drama).

His training as a warrior was not even done by Jalal but by Man Sigh and since he came back all the writers have shown is nonessential issues that has not involve son and father mentoring! What has their character Jalal invested in his son so far apart from shouting, hiding things from him with the notion of protecting him(how will he learn to deal with complicated situations when everything should be hidden from him (who at all writers this kind of meaningless crap that only raise bp) and slapping him for supposedly taken afeem which at the end Jalal was made a fool too. Seriously! 😕

Up till now the "all knowing, all smart, all powerful, all teda, all loving, all sharp perceiving King" has not yet realize that what happen years back has put a stain on his son's perception of him as a father and does not understand that his behavior is retaliation only nor does his many informants in the palace able to tell him that his son is seeing a royal dancer or in love with her nor he is a drug addict instead of solving this old track they leave them hanging and bring in more nonsense. (now if that is not stupidity of the writers in building they character Jalal's image I don't know what it is anymore).

This formula of character Jalal creating his own troubles with his own intelligent' decisions my f..t and then later characrter Jodha bears the heat of it despite her putting in her suggestions as a mother, wife etc is becoming very, very boring and annoying. It is time for the writers to think out of this box.😡

I wonder whether there are specialties among them freaks because it looks like only one person writes for positive (sweet) tracks so it is limited.

I m out of town n unable to watch JA. Mayb its for the best n i may become deaddicted to the serial. After reading the wu all i can say is that the main problem here is that salim always feels sorry for himself. He always sees himself as a victim and never the one who is wrong. People with this victim mentality always feel like everyone is against them n is unfair to them. Salim suffers from this.. he wants to b respected n treated as an elder brother n an important person but he doesnt realise that he is getting what he dishes out. He was the one who kept on ignoring any attempts by murad to talk to him nthen slaps him, he doesnt respect the sanctity of his position , his title or his family and yet he feels disrespected. He insults the sanctity of the position of a crown prince by sayg he wants it just to make anar the next MEH all the while he is engaged to someone else. Salim being the Oldest Son is very Straight forward, very sensitive. This is my thoughts.Younger siblings look up on their oldest and learn traits in how to deal with Parents and others. As Parents, Salim was the first born of JJ and naturally Parents are very over protective with the Oldest and want that son to be like them. With first born, they are learning, experimenting and make mistakes. With their second child they are already experienced and know the dos and donts and hence I feel they are more relaxed and lineant and become better parents.

I totally endorse the lines in bold. As a mother, I understand that when my child is being bad, he needs me more then. I have to make him feel that he is worthy of being loved. I have to connect with him and make him believe that I will always be there for him. Even if the whole world hates him, and he has nowhere to go, I would always be there with open arms. If a parent can give just one thing to his child, it has to be self-confidence. Right from childhood, Salim was a fearful child who could not stand up to his father. Even when he had not yet done any mistakes.

I so want to see JJ connect to Salim as parents and love him unconditionally as only parents can. Let them be strict and punish him if required. But let the love flow too.

A friend told me sometime back that if I punished my son then I should immediately also shower him with love.

The love Jalal has for everyone, please Jalal, show some of it to Salim too.

When Salim had come to meet Akbar after many revolts and even murdering Abul Fazl, Akbar still hugged him and presented him with elephants as a gift. That was Akbar the Great as a father to Salim. And what do we see here? A Hitler father. 😕

I am not able to write any analysis of present situation. None of them is behaving finely here. Jalal, since childhood uses his own methods to make Salim understand which backfire. Then we have Jodha, who has been left sobbing all the time, between a wife, mother and Empress. Salim is a store house of misunderstandings. Anyways, the most disappointed i am with Salim here. No one can hate his parents like this. All he feels is ONLY for Anar.. This man even MUed his brother who came to meet him...His actions depict himself as an ungrateful person..

The relationships have been badly handled. And today, i think some bomb blast is going to happen between Salim and Jalal in DEk, as evident from the Precap scene.

Our serial jalal shudnt giv shaheshah to salim at that time also.though he lost sons if he wants bhalayi of sultanat then he shud think to make rahim as nxt King.

I echo every word you have written here.

Murad and Salim were friends with Anar since childhood. So even if she spoke out of turn, Murad could have overlooked it.

I also wonder why Salim calls her Anarkali instead of her childhood name Nadira.

The fight between Murad and Salim was one between 2 brothers. Murad at least could have shown some sense since he is not undergoing any trauma like Salim. He should have closed the issue then and there.

I seriously don't like Murad getting so full of his rank already even with his elder brother.

If the matter reached Jalal, he should have closed it privately by calling Murad and Salim to his room and ticking them off there.

I feel both JJ should work together to turn Salim around. Only Jodha can't do much if Jalal keeps punishing Salim every now and then, without also showing his love.
