Friends,

I might not make regular episode threads from today. It was getting a bit unmanageable for me to write updates and reply also. If required, any one of you can make updates or give your views on episode, we can discuss them here only.

When ever i get time, i would write an update, but if not, then, can continue on the last such episode thread oly, if you wish. :)

I agree with all of u guys opinion n anger towards story line but as for me JA was such an integral part of my daily routine that missing out on it coz of salim n anarkali was traumatic. I agree there is a lack of royal ettiquette on the show n story is weak but as long as they show akbar n jodha as leads instead of salim i can bear it. I love reading abt their history which throws a light on their love but i watch the serial like any other one with 90% NR & 10% truth. All i care abt is that the leads r not shown as part time actors n they support each other. Rest of the crap i can take specially after atifa n anarkali anything is tolerable...
I know its irritating to see akbar as weak or jodha as mahan but it is way better than watching drunk n stupid salim romancing a dancer who openly ridicules him n hates him.

Their issue is NOT a DUMB Akbar shown marg darshan by Jodha. That is not the thing majority of people think, in my opinion. The fall is NOT due to butchering of history. Most viewers dont care about Akbar vs Jodha or any NR or reforms. For them, this is any other show with a difference, they watched it as a story of two people from different BG's, who adjusted and scripted some thing different from rest of the stories. It was supposed to be special with a dash of royalty, which did not exist after some months, as we discussed..The start of SA really trigerred some serious issues for the show. I have never heard any historical coming at number-1 position in TRP charts. JA came here, and even that time, it was not because of reforms or history of Akbar, but because of the USP of this show - Love Story of a Different Era, with a royal stamp..

abhay..i think you asked for the trouble😆..i thought you wanted more..abhay there can be no jodha versus akbar in reality..akbar was the invincible and jodha his third wife..akbar was the most richest and the powerful emperor in the world during last half of the 16th century and again jodha his third wife.! there is no comparison indeed..i just addressed my concern that the show should have shown some reality and balance in terms of their portrayal and not one sided like an imbalanced balance!..so the gadbad was in balance! and whatever akbar did in terms of being secular it was his far sightedness and him being a visionary!..and jodha might have been his true companion and a loyal wife which undoubtedly must have given him the strength!

radhika..i think the incidents such as satti or many more that involved harem ladies if shown properly could have looked convincing and real but again as i said such things are acceptable if balance is shown..if they show akbar fool in every track and jodha doing the marg darshan to the dumb akbar then where is the balance?..jodha and jalal lovers would have been happy if the essence of the story was left untouched that akbar was the invincible and jodha his strength..in other words jodha had powers becasue of akbar and not the other way round..but the show showed something else..and that is all from my side😃

..and abhay coming to the show i think its done with! i doubt if it will be redeemed or trps will go up..i highly doubt it!

Hey radhika i always look forward to reading urs n abhays posts. U not only put so much effort n hardwork in ur posts but u r also among the few optimists like me left who still watch JA 😊 sometimes reading so much negative abt the show brings me down (no offense to anyone pls) but its good to see few pp besides me who can find positives in the show. Jo feeling bad and crying. Then Akbar comes and consoles her. A beautiful scene where they hug and console each other, as both are crying - interspersed with makbara scene / soul talk.

Moti consoles a tearful Jo and asks her about Jalal. Jo says Jalal is getting better. Then Jagdev comes to meet Jo.

Another scene has Mehtab and Jalal - a very sweet scene. Mehtab comes to enquire about Jalal and he talks to her patiently and very affectionately. Ruq also comes and smiles.

Jo comes to the Jalal-Ruq-Mehtab congregation and tells Jalal that Holi would be the right time to expose /trap Jagdev. Ruq supports her. Jalal says ok.

Holi day.

Ruq is hiding in her tent as some women stand outside asking her to come out and play Holi. Kaushalya comes and sends them away. Ruq comes out to thank her when Kaushalya smears her whole face with color 😆 and someone pours a pot of water on her head. Moti and MEhtab laugh. Ruq is sullen but keeps quiet. No choice!

Jo is sad as she can't play Holi with Jalal. Moti and MEhtab apply gulal to her and tell her to go to Jalal who will apply gulal in her maang. Jo also applies gulal to them but probably declines to play with Jalal as it can lead to suspicions.

Holika fire.

Jo makes a speech and asks Jalal to light the fire. He does. Seems the villagers' anger against him has gone. All go round the fire except Jo. Kaushalya asks her to but Jo refuses. Jalal and Ruq are going round the fire. Ruq asks Jo to join them. Jo agrees and stands behind Jalal. They keep looking at each other while walking round the fire. Beautiful scene.⭐️

Holi scene.

Jo applies tika of gulal to a couple of sick (?) men. Jalal is looking at her and wants to play holi with her. This is an extremely beautiful/cute scene typical of the Sukanya wedding track. Jo and Jalal are standing apart and talking only thru their eyes and facial expressions. And they are so expressive!!

Jalal wants to play holi with her and she is refusing. Kaushalya asks her what's wrong with her since she is moving her face so much 😆She pretends she is exercising her neck.

Finally Jo and Jalal walk, apparently, nonchalantly towards each other. He is still intent to play holi and she is still refusing. He comes close and pretends to stumble. Some color from his hands falls on Jo's maang and she is very happy and surprised. He lets the thali fall from his hands. She bends to pick it up and touches his feet and he blesses her. Then they walk away in opposite directions.

Ruq is watching and very tearful to see their closeness. 😆

Jalal sees Jagdev eyeing Jo and comes to warn her. Later Jagdev has a dream (precap scene) where he applies color to Jo's cheek and then upturns the whole thali of gulal on her head. He comes fwd and throws some gulal in her direction. The color sticks to her face. Everyone is shocked. Jalal is very angry and comes fwd to hit Jagdev but Jo stops him with her eyes.

One villager says Jagdev has crossed limits of his maryada. Jagdev says he was throwing color at villagers and it accidentally fell on Jo. Jo is v angry but to keep things under control, she says that it was an accident and so she forgives Jagdev.

Jagdev invites her to his home, ostensibly for his son's birthday. She accepts the invitation.

Everyone starts playing Holi again.

Precap: JAlal is looking like he wants to hit Jagdev. Kaushalya stops him and says she wants to question Jagdev first. She wants to know what Jagdev was doing with Jo. Jo is standing there and looking at Jagdev. Jalal and Ruq are shocked by Kaushalya's words.

Oh there was one scene of Salim in war attire talking with his bro Daniyal perhaps, also in war attire. Then Salim sitting alone and brooding over Anar. Anar and mom scene and Anar also thinking of Salim. Some song in background.

And one (mirthless) comedy scene as usual of Shama, Haider and Javeda.

The episode was fine from JA POV - they enacted beautifully, their eye talk was superb, reflecting years of understanding and closeness - showing they don't need words to communicate nor do they need to be together to be one.😊

But hated Jagdev and his leching. I just hope this guy's track is wrapped up soon. The writeup about his character and his actual character don't match.

Radhika i m confused abt the precap . I thought jodha is missing n jalal is accusing jagdev n kaushalya says she wants to quest jalal first as she saw him hugging jodha. I think todays first scene where they were together was seen by her.

Radhika, such a beautiful Post. Thanks a million for this..There are a very few peoples post I am addicted to and I make sure to come to forum to read them, as they brighten me up and u indeed are one of those precious person.

Reading what u have written was just like re watching the episode again. I too loved JJ scene so much that I watched it agian. Beautifully enacted by both PS and RT. Seems like they are redeeming Ruks, anyways this is far better than afeem feeding and all..Like u I have totally tuned out of unwanted characters and Ruks happens to be one of them. i too hoping this JD track is wrapped soon as I cant stand him leaching Jodha. If Sharifudin comes to know, he will do the honors of Kiliing JD..
