And since when has Mahesh Das become the Wazir-e-Ala - judging from his freely offering his opinions and advice on any and all issues- trumping even Todar Mal?

I too would infinitely prefer the original Jalal.

I cannot imagint this Mahesh Das as Birbal. 😡 The one in the movie was so dignified and decent. Perhaps this fellow was introduced to make us feel that Jodha begum was much better.
