have not seen the whole episode mansi ...but it was much better than mera baccha tera baccha,,,,and yes it seems that this whole thing was to establsih mahesh das in mughal court..and today he is going to raise the issue of jalal's own children one brought as half hindu other as mughal and the partiality between the two...something on that line...

it was not a pretty sight that a mother sees another mother killing herself with her kids...one is celebrating and the other is mourning...and then you go giving away gifts and money that belong to these people...and yet they are offered no protection or respite...robbing your self respect ,your identity ..and treating you as a low class where you need to pay

hope they had handled it with more dignity and elaborately than rushing to finish it off in 1-2 days...if it is an insult to the husband that he takes tax from his wife ..it is an insult to the Emperor if he does not apply the same law for one and all...

Great post as always Sunny, and that last line is the perfect summing up of things!👏👏👏

i liked how u divided the epi and explained part by part the evnts tht happnd yesterday mansi..
i must definitely join your testimony about jodha..i think many are stuck with the fact that it shuld always be the man,the sole hero..yes we have been given more of tedhi jodha and its truly unbearable for many because by giving more of jodha we got less of jalal..but why always we compare their roles and duties?? jl is jl n jo is jo...in a way if it ws jl who met tht Shanti wuldnt he too be cncrnd as much as jodha??
and ha again aftr their own hojra's another intimate place got invaded yar...im tellin u..thy really need doors now..its a must..meanwhile jl can look for a new place fr him n jo till birbal solve his prob..
Haan yaar, they need a separate place for Jalal-Birbal deliberations and leave the hojra and the tarazu to the Jodha-Jalal private talks! Meanwhile I am calming myself by thinking of Ruq as a piece of the furniture ... a talking chair perhaps ... so that I don't get very irritated!

Why does this have to be about who was front seat and who was back seat? Can a couple not be different from each other but equal? Why is "personality diversity" treated as "hierarchical measurement"?

Nice analysis Mansi.
I liked the episode specially birbal part but i feel that cvs should handle the jazia tax issue much better not like like this . I did not like when jodha and ruk were argumenting on it .
I liked the fact that jodha brought the issue of jazia tax infront of shehnshah and told about situtation if hindus is not paying the tax how their situation became critical and also loved it when she snubbed ruk till now everything was fine but after then i did not find jodha behaviour appropriate . She was impulsive. She was not understanding a shehnshah cannot take decision immediately. He have to think about so many thing, he have to talk to his minister , advisior how it will effect his kingdom, work and main important treasury. And even he talked to their minister and they also did not find solution. Last time in abolish teerth tax todarmal found a way but this time he also did not get any way so it seems situation was quite complicated. But what jodha did even before jalal talk on this issue with her she gathered the hindus bandhi and stand in line to pay the tax. I found it very inappropriate .
But i liked birbal way to try to understand jalal. In one way he tried to understand him if all the hindus will convert himself in muslim then who will pay the tax and then also it will effect the treasury so you should think a proper way to come out from this situation. I liked tansen and birbal cat fight.
P.S i yesreday episode there was no any scene of children and i missed it.

Mansi, wonderfully written & explained. I was quite disappointed after the episode, as I was expecting some continuity from previous day' s episodes & could not find the connection.
Initially I thought how do the CVs forget all about the kids & go somewhere else, but after reading your analysis I can understand where the connection will be established between this track with the kids. Otherwise I was thinking that they were trying to establish a platform for Birbal's character establishment.

Most probably today Ruq will realize that though she adopted one child, but that child may inherit qualities, nature & thoughts of Jodha & hence we will see the previous precap, as she will try to separate the child from Mum as as soon as possible. Hope Jodha also understands the actual thoughts behind Ruq's intentions soon. Till then, take care..

Beautifully written Mansi, especially @green.

I was skeptical to watch the episode as I was worried of the Precap scene and I got to watch something totally different. I loved the episode for a change. It had full of much needed positivity and I was happy. I have started to like Birbal. Birbal and Tansen scene was fun to watch.

Jodha wanted to pay her tax as a Hindu and Jalal needed time to decide on what steps needs to be taken in case of the Jaziya tax. Jodha is a queen and need not pay the tax but at the same time she could not care less about what the commoner lady told her about the Luxurious life a queen can have. Jalal needed more time as TM told him about the financial loss that can happen if this tax is abolished. Probably TM and Jalal will find a solution for this where as Birbal will also help Jalal in DEK in solving the begum issues.

I loved JO's reply to Ruks. It was much needed. I believe after today Ruks is going to be back to herself and may start plotting against JO. May be her first step would be to just get hold of Hussein for herself. I just cannot bear to see the twins separated.

I watch Shariffu and his dad always with a fear as I am scared if they are going to plan on harming the twins.

Missed watching my adorable Hassan and Hussein

I liked today's episode a lot . Loved today's Jodha 😊. Loved her calm disposition , her quiet inner strength and her determination to stand up for the Hindus in the tax issue . She touched a sensitive nerve in Jalal by offering to pay the 'Jizya' herself . Her action did get him thinking about not wanting to let her down , because deep down he very well knows that she is not the one to be frivolous in thought, word and action .
I like the guy playing Birbal . His character has a lot of spunk . Yes , Diksha and you are absolutely right with your predictions . In the process of trying to convince Jalal to abolish the 'Jizya' on hindus , Birbal will be indirectly instrumental in exposing Rukaiyya . I also liked his interaction with Sri Ramtanu Pandey 😆.
As much as I try to avoid her , I am forced to mention Rukaiyyas 😡name . I loved the manner in which Jodha put her in place when she high handedly gave her unwanted opinion about the tax issue.I feel that the Creatives are intentionally including Rukaiyya in all the interactions between Jalal and Jodha , so that they can see her different moods and behavior.
Did anyone notice the rude manner in which she snatched the bag with the tax money that Jodha gave Jalal .There was a brief moment of angry disgust on Jalal's face .He was also angry with her presence and interference during his conversation with Jodha .
I think the Creatives have forgotten about Sharifuddin for the time being. We saw him giving his expert opinion on the tax matter .
Tomorrow's episode is going to be a fun watch . Looking forward to it .

beautifully written Charu..

Dear Mansi,

Wonderful take and though the focus shifted from the babies, it was quite an interesting episode and would be more interesting to watch how Birbal will solve it. How many taxes were Hindus supposed to pay by the way? Wasnt pilgrimage e tax abolished by Jalal? Now what is this Jaziyaa?I did not get the meaning of it?And what was t his that if they cant pay they have to get themselves converted?? How was this allowed in Akbar reign? Until Jodha interfered .. he was wasn't aware of situation? It was surprising and why was he hesitating to abolish Jaziya tax against Hindus when he very boldly abolished the pilgrimage tax when he knew it was not just..

IHe can always find means to bring in more revenue and reduce the economical burden caused by this tax cancellation? Isn't he clever enough to do that?Wasn't Todarmal capable enough to suggest another way out?

But it would be definitely interesting to watch how Birbal solves this problem ? About Jodhas involvement I agree with you that Jodha is correct and her actions are justified that she as a Queen .. is responsible for her subjects and as a Queen she also has a right to ask her husband to change unjust laws thereby making him a better King and a just King who is fair to all his subjects irrespective of their caste and religion.

I think Shariff and his father who is a Ulema will try to create more unrest using this Jaziya matter against Jalal and instigate Muslims against Jalals tolerant attitude towards Hindus. Thats what I feel. This is what happened I guess in real history as well. This will irk Ruks also more against Jodha.. and her jealousy will grow even more. But I liked the way Jodha Answered Ruks with firmness in her voice. But Ruks was very rude in snatching away that bag from Jos hand.. Anyways how long can we expect Ruks to be good? She has to show her true colours now.. coz she has got what she wanted..

Hey Mansi,
Your analysis Of precap DEK situation is good...I should like to see Ruqs shrunk face definitely ...

But there was a post from another friend...you may have read them...that view as also sound enough I thought ... That had Jo accepting Ruqs argument and paying tax for one child...which in turn will make Jalal think how one of his own child has to pay and another not while both are from same parents...

Oh baby ...you can never believe the CVs where Ruqs is concerned...she has been till date getting a long leash...I very much hope for it to be cut short if not burned down altogether ...

Plus there is also the other thing...Jalal said he would look into the matter, so why can't Jo and Ruqs wait a bit... Why were they harrowing that poor man...damn, give him a break...
