Mansi Lovely take...

1)Yesterday's episode is dedicated to both birbal and rukku and jodha and jalal

Birbal:- to raise his position in mughal sultanat and to gain jalal's faith..

Rukku:Going to see her first downfall in dek and being checkmated by birbal ..to realize no matter even If she gets muz audha she can never take jodha's place in jalal's life or in awaams heart or in dek

Jodha:to make her realize that kids are not commodities to give to any tom dick harry..they are kids and need to brought up with care and love ..one foolish decision of her il make her kids to hate her and jalal and cause a rift bet twin brothers..to realize rukku's evil intentions

Jalal: being a king he need to give justice to both hindus and muslims.. this leads to conflicts between hindus and muslims.. wen he can abolish teerthkar then y cant he abolish zijiya... any how first he need to think as a shehensha not as husband..

I think mansi wen rukku tells that one kid belongs to her and its muslim then birbal may come up with a point saying adopting a kid doesn't give a right to change the religion of the kid..only wen the kid grows up and able to decide whether he wanted to be muslim or hindu till that time kid il be considered as half hindu and half religion..if still rukku insists then birbal may ask rukku to give back rajvanshi khoon which the kid has and make him a pure muslim..till rajvanshi blood is flowing in baby till then he wud be considered as half hindu and half mughal..as per rule being half hindu both jodha and jalal's kids are suppose to pay the tax..wen they are grown up they can decide on thr religion..but till then even if rukku or anyone adopts the baby still the baby is considered as half hindu and half mughal..and the adopted mother has to pay the tax for adopting half hindu son..thus rukku il be checkmated ...

Coming to awaam birbal may come up with a question in dek saying shehensha are u more worried about khazana and coz of this u are not able to abolish tax on hindus..or coz of ur religion...jalal il definitely say coz of khazana... I treat my awaam as kids..then birbal il question wen u feel so ashamed to collect tax from ur hindu wife are u not feeling ashamed to collect tax from ur hindu awaam..wen u said ur awam is ur kids.. like ur kids one is hindu and one is said to mughal.. in the same way one side is mughals and the other side is hindu's..wen u failed to give justice to give ur own sons and discriminating them then wat justice can u give to ur awaam..coz they too are mughals and hindu's... if ur problem is not religion but fund..then anyhow u are not going to get any tax... indirectly putting pressure on ur hindu awaam either to pay tax or to accept islam..people forcefully ready to accept islamism just to avoid the tax... if all hindus get converted to Islamism neither u il get tax inturn u and mughal sultanat il get sin and curse from many people forcing hidnus to accept islam.. tellme shehensha wat are u going to to do..or wat ur ministers are going to get..u il not get tax in both ways.. if u abolish the tax u can raise the tax in other forms and slowly u il get back ur khazana..but by not abolishing the tax either ur hindu praja wud leave ur kingdom and go to other kingdoms or they il suicide like that pregnant lady or they il accept islam..inturn its an insult to shehensha ...all these cases u il not be able to collect tax and inturn people il again forget all the good deeds done by u and il never accept u as thr shehensha and the good will and the name u got from ur hindu praja il be taken back wen u are not able to give justice to hindu awaam coz of ur discrimination between Hinduism and islamism... people and other kingdom kings till now who are pleased and scared il mock u saying wen jalaluddin mohammad failed to givie justice to his kids and hindu begum wat justice can he give to his awaam..wen he is discriminating and doing injustice to his own sons then wat can he do to awaam... now the decision is in ur hands..if u abolish u il be able to get more support and goodwill from all hindu praja and also u can increase the tax in other forms.. if u don't then hindus il convert or suicide or leave ur kingdom... at the end jalal il be left with no other option but to abolish zijiya... rukku il go furious...and sharif and his beard dad and maulvis il oppose and plot against jalal... in both the cases sultanat has no other go but to face revenue loss..but that can be converted into profit thru other mode...

As you said, the episode was completely unexpected but a nice change . We all expected a twin sharing issue and we got a Jiza tax track.I loved all your lines especially those on jo's front , Actually I liked both Jo and Jalal Yesterday as both were right from their pov .Here's where i loved Birbal, the way he put forth the pbm was interesting. It was indeed a great dilemma,Taxes are generally collected for welfare of people ,without enough tax u cannot improve ur militiary strength and there by leading to in stabilization but those same taxes which also unfair to people create the same result . I'm really interested to see how its solved. Now every scenes between jo and jalal has ruq in between and that's a sheer torture. Don't know how long we should endure this,The way she got the tax from jo looked really cheap.I think this track and the twins track are connected as you have put could lead for ruqs downfall,
but may also lead to revolts by ulemmas and mughal courtiers because as diksha predicted birbal may solve this and jalal may abolish tax which in turn would infuriate mughal courtiers like munimkhan and sharif as they might see it as another hindu courtier also gaining prominence. I think this time munim kham may also join sharif in plans against jalal .

Quite right Prav, somehow this Hindu tax issue and this Ruq-baby issue are connected and the connecting link may be the twin solutions from Birbal!

Mansi so wonderfully wiitten 👏👏👏
It is just so true and apt.

I am sure Akbar did not bestow all the titles and gave responsibilities cos he loved her! He gave them cos she had the capability and intelligence and political savvy to do all this. It is an insult to Akbar's ineglligence even to think or say otherwise!

Rebellious does not have to be only go around flag waving but to stand for one's rights and for the truth and right thing to do in face of all opposition. Jodha was that one person giving her views fearlessly.

They both were a match for each other in every way.

Its not like Jalal didn't want to change the law but it is not so easy to change laws. Like Ruqu said (please forget for a moment we doesn't like her & only love Jodha) if he changes one law because a person was trying commit suicide, next day there will some other issue and some one else may be trying to some damage to themselves, is it really possible to change law in accordance with each individual. just for a example even at home where we will have to a maximum of 4 to 6 people on normal family and 10 to 20 in joint family, do we cook according to individual liking like 20 different dishes for 20 different people or do we have 20 different rules for 20 people? We strictly will tell everyone that this is the meal time and these will be the dishes. Everyone has to be in dining are and have food without fuss. If we start cooking based on individual liking (like dosa for 1, roti for the other, noodles for the third and so on, can a mother be able to manage her kitchen? NO right, so she will have to put some ground rules like some main courses will be standard (in line with elders choice) and she can alter the side dishes according to the younger ones which may not affect the major budgeting of her kitchen expense.
It is the same way for the sultanate. from his ancestors time, the levy of Jaziya was present and HIndu's have been paying that since then and Muslims were enjoying the benefit. It is not so easy to make the comfortable one to make to accept some adjustments to help the under privileged. The one who has been enjoying the warm food will not be ready to accept a stale food just to save some gas or electricity. Further it will be next to impossible to make him skip a meal on daily basis just to provide his privileged meal to someone else.
That is what Jalal said to Birbal when he said, why did he not change the law " that if it were so easy as said, that would have been done long back"

Quite right Jaya, part of the problem with any King or any government is to try and understand why old laws have become outdated and when they need to be reviewed. And only when the problem surfaces it can be given due attention. No law is perfect and sometimes the ills of the law are visible only when someone gets desperate about it! And what difference does it make whether only one person is trying suicide or thousands are dying. Every small or large hint of an outdate law no longer being valuable is equally important. But when changing the old law a great deal of care has to be taken so that the new law is genuinely better for the country and framed correctly so it can go the distance at least for the foreseeable future.
