To be very honest ,for last few months they didn't show Atgah doing much,specially when MA was everything in the sultanate before Suja fiasco.Now just before his exit ,Atgah is doing so many things.Was the episode a swan song of Atgah or the actor playing it ,don't know ?

Yest Akt.Ja had also pointed out about so many monologues for MA maybe because of Ashwini's importance.Same here also it applies ,I think.I can't really understand how Atgah discovered CB when Mansingh was given the responsibility of renovation of jail ,so it was but obvious he will find surang .

Also Atgah's dailogue was so hilarious "Hamari aankhein sab jagah hoti hain." I mean were the eyes shut when so many blunders happened in Agra due to lack of spy network. Imagine Mahac's man entered the jail to talk to Khyber this just one example I have given .But we all know there were so many blunders.

I very well know Atgahji 's importance in Jalal's life.But he wasn't doing much even after MA was not in the picture after Suja fiasco.All of a sudden ,in last two days he got so much importance.I really feel now are actors rising above the script ?

The real Atga too was like this. But your point is valid that the CVs ignored him till now, restricting him to a yes-man, who does nothing except repeat "Bajah Farmate hain huzoor" or "hukm ki taameel hogi" ad nauseum.

It's not that this actor has suddenly risen in importance. The CVs are just awoken to the fact that this guy has to be bumped off next week and he has not been of any importance so far. So they have given him some token credit in this track.

This is not so much for the actor who plays Atga. It is more for Jalal. When Adham kills Atga, Jalal has to be driven to a fearsome rage and kill Adham in the most horrendous manner, going by history and burn the takht in an emotional meltdown, going by the promo. Would all that be believable for the Atga we saw in the past? No.

So to show all that, the CVs had to refurbish Atga's character in a hurry.

Regarding MA, it may be true that the actress is close to EK. But we cannot forget that MA is also the only main negative protagonist in the show so far. The others are all caricatures with no real substance to them. So she is constantly given a boost to make up for the "lack of weight" of the other negative characters, who have collectively failed to make an impression.

Of course, it may also be true that the script gave only MA substance, not the others.

In any story, the antagonist is as equally important as the protagonist. Esp in JA where the CVs lack ideas to showcase the protagonist properly and depend on the antagonist to create chaos and confusion to take the story forward..
