Hey Abhay!
It was so nice to read ur post once again. We all have been missing u. Pls do continue writing even if its an analysis of characters or episode. U always manage to make for n interesting read. A lot has been said abt jodha and jalal's equation in this atifa track but all i want to say is that they r still learning as being in love is new to both of them. I don't care who was right or wrong, all i care is that in the end they are together and learning something new abt each other every time. This track will teach jodha to trust jalal a whole lot more and accept that he is a very sharp emperor and she can't always fight his battles for him. And jalal will learn that jodha still needs to be pampered and be made to feel that she is his world as she is vulnerable.

Abhay finally managed to read your post...it was great to read you again...
Agree with all you have written...infact I had written on some other thread that the idea of the track was interesting but execution was abysmal...audiences needed to be taken into confidence within 2 epis of atifa track...then viewers would have enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot eith jalal playing, as you put it, 007...
Also Abhay, imagine if emperors had to romance assassins for informstion then I doubt whether there would be any great emperors or great empires in history...what happened to third degree torture????

But having said that, I am so relieved that jalal actually had a plan, however irrational it maybe,...the fact that jodha did not have to jump in to save jalal again, which was my persistent nightmare during the entire track...have now ensured that am at peace now...I know there are very many facts such as self talk, screaming at his unborn kids etc that have not been accounted for...and there is no hope that such facts will be explained simply because there is no explanation to the cvs for the same... but trying to make the best of a bad situation, I am at peace to see the cvs trying to make jalal do a convincing revelation, showing his pain, grief and suffering at what he was compelled by circumdtances to (?) do...
The only positive that seems to have come out of atifa track is the 'eternity' and 'immortality' of the love shared between akbar and MUZ...I just hope that in future cvs dont do anything to denigrade or undermine this immotal connect that has been established now ( throuh such a tortuous route!) between jodha and jalal...keep the faith...

Thanks for the lovely Post abhay...sorry was busy with some work...both are right and wrong too.. we are no one to discuss who is right or wrong..fact is they both accepted themselves as how they are..wen they dont hav any prob then who are we... good thing is this track ended... like how jalal misunderstood jo in sujamal's case in the same way jo misunderstood him..like how jalal started trusting jo after sujamal's track that no matter wat happens she il not betray and il love him unconditionally in the same way now jo il realise that no one can replace her place in jalal's life..jalal's heart beats only for her... so here after she il hav immense faith in jalal and his love..jalal too il realise being a women she was vulnerable.. though she believed him and his love and accepted him but some whr she was insecured about him and his love.. so jalal made sure and agian bulit trust and faith in her that he is always jodha's jalal..he loves only her...other fights and arguments be it fake or real indono ke beech ye sab chalta rehta... if we think about it then we il go mad... jodha never expected jalal to confess his love for her in front of every one..neither jalal did..but still his aciton speaks how madly he is in love with her.. whole world knows that jodha is his dil and everything.. kehne se hi agar pyar pyar hota hai to wo pyar hi nahi...bina baya kare bi jo puri dhuniya jaanti hai ki ye dono ek dusre se kitna pyar karte hai... even jo never confessed her love infront of everyone.. this is called epic love story..since its ekta's show mirch masala to hota hi hai..next week il be a roller coaster for us..we il see an emotionally broken jalal and sad part is atga's death..only one loyal soul in agra ...he is also going to leave us..but life has to move on... see we are the ones who were discussing how jo il react ..whether she il forgive him or not..but see they forgot everything and moved on..only one thing matters thats thr love for each other..yaha hum bekar main humara dimak karab kar rahe the.. overall lovely post.. only one thing bothers me that is leap..just hope all this should turn out to be false rumours..leap il be thr but of 6 to 7 mons..not 15 yrs...common thr is no story if they go for big leap and that too salim love story...crap i am not in for this crap love story..i hv signed in for JA love story

What I'd really like to see is a greater emphasis on the dynamics of the interpersonal relations among Hamida Bano, Salima Begum, Ruqaiyya and Jodha. 4 strong women living together must have had some moments of angst as well as some moments of female bonding.

Traces and hints are shown but never explored in depth.

The Ruqaiyya-Jodha talks have always been memorable. Both these ladies - intelligent, well-read, beautiful, dynamic, able to lead, mentally strong yet emotional and vulnerable at heart - are close to Jalal in their own way. Instead of taking them to extremes of goodness and evil, these two could be kept more human and "normal" in their actions and reactions. Jodha should be allowed to speak up more often and shown to maintain her self-dignity against insults by anyone, be it Jalal, Ruqaiyya or Maham. (I loved her "main tumhe zinda nahin chodungi" dialog to Maham yesterday. I wish she had been allowed to walk up to Maham and give her a tongue lashing before Jalal revealed himself.) Likewise, Ruqaiyya should be kept gray and just simmering beneath the surface but not changed to a full-fledged vamp. She can be shown to be friendly with Jalal but discontent with his deeper and more abiding love for Jodha. And I wish her auda rant is reduced a bit. It is jarring on the nerves now.

Note: The comments below are to be seen in the context of the Wednesday episode only, without considering the Thursday episode.

In Wednesday's episode, the highlight was the way Ruqaiyya starts off by revealing how she never tried to understand Jodha, carried away as she was by jealousy-turned -to-hatred for her. How she always tried to destroy Jodha's chances of happiness. From here, she moves on to how she and Jodha are now sailing in the same boat, rejected as they have been by Jalal for another woman. She hopes Jodha understands her jealousy and heartbreak better now and can thus forgive her more easily. She has a slight twinge of regret that Jalal may be divorcing Jodha because of her. And she is ever so slightly hopeful that Jalal may still feel something for Jodha and refrain from actually marrying Atifa. Jodha does not react to anything she says but towards the end does gesticulate that she does not hold Ruqaiyya responsible for her fate and expresses her sentiments that whatever Ruq may say now makes no difference to her because the die has already been cast.

It was such a beautiful and gut-wrenching moment of two women trying to come to terms with the loss of their husband to another new woman. Till then, they had tried to win his love in their own ways and be close to him but ultimately, at that moment, both seemed to have lost out to another contender. Till then, Ruq had tried hard to defeat Jodha but when she finally seemed to have won in her mission of getting JJ separated, victory didn't seem to taste so sweet, mixed as it was with her defeat too. Jodha, who had by now transcended all levels of pain a human being could face and had resigned herself to her fate with fortitude bordering on fatalism, couldn't care less about what Ruqaiyya or anyone had to say about her relationship status with Jalal. As far as she was concerned, the relationship was over, at least for the moment.

Similarly, the Hamida-Jodha moment was poignant too. Hamida has also mostly resigned herself to accepting Jalal's obduracy, for try as she might to influence him, he remains steadfast in his resolve to do only that which pleases him. But Hamida is as close to Jodha as she is to Jalal. She perhaps accepts Jodha as a daughter more than even Bakshi Bano. For somewhere in Jodha, she sees her own traces. Jodha views herself as her husband's equal and has a strong sense of justice for which she doesn't mind taking on even Jalal. This quality appeals to Hamida, who had always walked as an equal with her husband and had always sided with the just, even against her son.

Jodha feels the pain of leaving this second mother, perhaps for ever, and breaks down. What i like about Jodha is that her relations with her in-laws are independent of her relationship with Jalal. Even when she was in ghrina, she always respected his family. Hamida, on her part, didn't let down Jodha's faith in her and offered her a place to stay on with her in Agra and her support
She knew how hard it would be for Jodha and her family if she were to return as an abandoned wife to Amer. That Jodha couldn't bear the thought of living in close vicinity to Jalal and suffer his neglect everyday was another matter.

Jodha-Salima talks are the talks of soul sisters. They are both on the same mental wavelength and of similar dispositions and are mutually attracted to each other's company because of this. They both love Rahim equally as their son.

Only once we have seen Salima-Ruq interaction in which Salima had the upper hand.

Ruqaiyya has been shown to care for Hamida in her own way, though this care increases significantly when Jodha is in a tough spot with Jalal.

Four beautiful women - how many tales must have been buried of their relations with each other.

Radhika,
For the second time, agree word to word
And a beautiful post.👏

You have justified Jodha's stance perfectly!.

I still see posts saying Jodha doesn't have faith in him, Jodha's prem is a joke..BLAH BLAH.

Why do people expect a woman to have faith in a guy who tells you repeatedly right on your face to back-off? If she sticks around like a leech, wouldn't that be a blow to her self-respect?For that matter, she express her anger about him to anyone but asks Mansingh to watch out for him. Isn't that faith and loyalty enough?

Weren't they the same people who mocked Jodha for expecting the Shehenshah to read hr eyes? Didn't they say that: "How can the Shehenshah trust her after she herself mouthed the words that she loves Suja?". Now I ask the same Q to them: "When the Shehenshah himself has openly declared his love to Atifa, what can she believe?" ( I know, now I'm going to get the answer: they didnt even confess their love to each other that time, now they're so close. So WHAT??? )

^^^^^^^
Lyra, That is not new..😕
And, i looked at the situation in another way, and hence i chose to ask about HOW YOU Would React in such situation, and i got many contrasting views...😊
Just Chillax and Enjoy the Show...😎

And this is an OPEN QUESTION to such people, not an act of bashing them.

People can't expect everything to be compliant with the Shehenshah and whatever he does. I can't wait for the bad eggs to roll out, but I feel Jalal should have handled Jodha a little more sensitively. Coz if someone plays a bad joke on you and then pops out with a grin saying: "I'm joking!!" it would be so weird. But then, I still applaud him for the way he has chosen to sieve out the disloyal people in his court, given the fact that he didn't even trust Atgah or Mansingh.

I'm very very happy with the way Jodha and Jalal have reacted to the circumstances. I'm happy that she has resolved herself to remain strong for her babies. I'm happy that he is aware of his progress and damage. I'm happy that they are still loyal to each other. But I'm not happy with the way people jump at the opportunity to pass crass comments at Jodha or Jalal. (Calling Jalal Yuckbar is so not done)

Anyway, besides that I'm looking forward for tomorrow.

MA, Adham, Atifa, Ruq...all of them thrown out at once! What about Shariff??😲 Will he also get caught?

P.S: Cooled OFF. Started watching the show again and all previous epis that I missed.

Lyra,

I agree with every word of yours...Especially the Bold ones...
Atleast, this track has come to an End with a Positive Note, where JJ made their Love MORE Strong ..And i wish CV's do NOT spoil this again...
