Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhira returns home but, haunted by jail trauma, locks herself in her room

Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has taken a tragic turn in Abhira’s life after Anshuman’s death. With the blame placed on her and Armaan failing to win the case, Abhira is sentenced to life imprisonment. Her days in jail are far from easy, as she faces constant torment from Kesari.

While fellow inmate Jalebi initially appears to be supportive, the current storyline raises questions about whether she is involved in Maira’s kidnapping.

Amid all the uncertainty, viewers are eagerly waiting to see when Abhira will finally return home. To add to the excitement, Star Plus has now released a promo showcasing Abhira’s much-awaited comeback.

Promo Highlights Abhira’s Return

The promo begins with the court announcing the verdict that clears Abhira of all charges and declares her innocent. The decision is based on the evidence presented by Armaan. Following this, Abhira arrives at the Poddar house, where the family welcomes her warmly with flowers, music, and dance.

However, despite the celebrations, Abhira remains deeply affected by her time in jail. Even though she has been proven innocent, is back home, and closer to Maira, she is still unable to come out of the trauma.

While the Poddars rejoice in her return, Tanya, Krish, and Geetanjali stand at a distance, watching without much involvement. As Abhira reaches the doorstep, Kaveri performs her aarti. Just then, Maira runs towards her excitedly, calling her “Mumma” and trying to hug her.

Shockingly, Abhira pushes herself away and runs inside, leaving everyone stunned. The family follows her in concern, but as Abhira climbs the stairs, she suddenly slips. Maira cries out in fear, and the moment leaves the audience anxious to know if Abhira gets hurt or if Armaan manages to save her in time.

Upcoming Track: Maira and Armaan Support Abhira

For those unaware, India Forums had earlier exclusively reported about this track. It was revealed that the difficult time Abhira spent in jail will continue to haunt her, similar to how Vidya struggled after her release. Still traumatised by her experience, Abhira will find it hard to return to her normal life. This emotional aftermath will test her inner strength and also deeply affect her loved ones.

In the upcoming storyline, Abhira will withdraw from everyone and lock herself in a dark room. Maira will stay by her side, trying to comfort her and help her heal from the trauma. She will gently make Abhira rest her head on her lap and sing to soothe her. Along with Maira’s support, Armaan too will step in to help Abhira recover.

Currently in the show, Armaan is doing everything he can to gather evidence to prove Abhira’s innocence while Maira has been kidnapped.
