Hi Divyam, you write the take even while being tired after an official trip ! Shows your live for Todarmal and the show. Hats off 👏
Love your poetic justice part. I think, CVs are utilizing this track to even out Jodha with Jalal, so both are shown as only mortals, even though they are king and queen. Will Jodha repent to a Jalal or Todarmal personally like Jalal always does ? I would love it, but Ekta's heroines hardly do, they do repent in their monologues. Let's see.

I think, tomorrow, will be a scene take-off from Mughal e azam movie, where Salim was rescued from the Tope-shooting at the last minute. Like wise, Todarmal shall be released by Jodha. It shall be OTT, but, is there snyother way ? Loved that strong slap to Shehnaz in precap. Phew glad it shall be over soon.

Read your post..I disagree with a few points here. This is just my Point of view. To tell u honestly I am angry with both Jalal and Jodha here. Jodha argued for Shenu, but the final one to decide was Jalal. we cannot say that Jo forced Jalal to make this decision.

Also comparing JJ relation with JO TM is wrong..If Jalal confronted Jodha in private it is his wife. Also initially Jodha has been publicly humiliated. Lets not forget that as well. How can JO confront TM in Private. This has to be between Jalal and TM and this was done.

All above said, I am mad at both JJ and will take some time to forgive them both. Both are equally wrong here.

Very good Sindhu. I agree with you.Saying Jo forced JA to take decision is like making Kaikeyi out of Jodha.Unlike Kaikeyi(who took promise from Dasharath that he will sent Ram to exile),Jodha did not take any vachan from her husband that he will punish TM.She put forth her points and witnesses .Yes ,she was wrong that she advocated for wrong person. She acted impulsively.
She did not think twice that the man they were pointing fingers at, runs an asharam for homeless women. He didn't do anything to them too and they regarded him with high respect. If he wanted to do something to Shehnaz ,he would have done in the asharam itself. Why in Agra, where getting caught was highly possible.
Yes Jalal was also wrong .That he didn't do any proper investigation nor he gave TM some time to prove himself innocent.Giving death sentence to TM was horrible.May be I feel this must be some plan of Jalal .Ya ,he talks about dil and Jodha's influence and all like love struck majnu but we can't say that such a big decision was taken to please his wife .We are talking about Akbar the great and he is not a stupid lustful man whose male organ overrules his brain.

Got back from Bangalore just now so hence, I am late tonight.

Today, I was a day of poetic justice for me ... And I have a feeling everyone will not like my post today, but today I am writing what is in my heart.

When Jalal accused Jodha of being characterless ... I had said Jalal was a victim of circumstances though he was at fault for his impulsive anger ... Then many had criticized him left, right, and center and me as well for defending him ... Today, Jodha has made exactly the same mistakes as Jalal ... If not more.

- If Jalal falsely accused Jodha's character, Jodha had done the same to Todarmal
- If Jalal had accused her based on what he saw (her with Sujamal), what Maham Anga told him, and what Jodha did / did not say ... Jodha accused Todarmal just based on what Shehnaaz had said and a others seeing Todarmal following Shehnaaz ... Jodha had seen nothing
- If Jalal was swayed by evidences given by his Badi Ammi who he has known his entire life and saved his life ... Jodha was swayed by what Shehnaaz said who she has known for a few weeks
- If Jalal looked beyond how Jodha had saved his life, Jodha also looked beyond how Todarmal had saved her love, her Shehenshah's life by recognizing the turban was poisoned (and spared Jodha's hands as well) and how he had defended them from the dacoits and given her sharan in his ashram
- If Jalal questioned Jodha in the privacy of their room, Jodha tore apart Todarmal's in the court

But, in both cases, Jalal continues to make decisions based on evidences ... If anything he is being harsher on Todarmal than he was when the evidences were against Jodha. But,Jalal, he is always in the wrong.

And, hence I am feeling a sense of poetic justice as Jodha is shown to be have the same human faults as Jalal and I see the same people who criticized Jalal, defending Jodha. I am not saying this because I hate Jodha, but because if Jalal is portrayed as a human, I also want to see Jodha portrayed as a human. If I want Jalal held to a bar, I want Jodha to be held to the same bar. If Jalal apologized and repented, I want to see Jodha do the same. That is true equality.

And to be honest, I do not need to see Jodha apologizing to know she is in the wrong ... As her Kanha himself told her to be so. And, all I want is for her to grow and improve from this track so she can be a better Queen, not because I do not like her.

And with that I go to my take 5 today:

(1) Todarmal's unflinching composure when he was found guilty: Hats off to Todarmal ... His dignity even when punished showed his innocence ... He was resigned to his fate but had no remorse, no shock, nothing ... It proved what a pure soul he was and that his duty and loyalty to the Shehenshah came above all ... I don't know why, but I really liked Shaurya's expressions in this scene. No wonder Jalal would feel so tortured later on.

Yet, it looks like Todarmal has the fatal flow all our good guys have ... Confront the bad guy first before telling Jalal so they can prepare!

(2) The loyalty that continues forever: There was something touching to see the loyal Todarmal and Zakira both in jail ... Your hearts went out to them and that how they had no anger against the Mughal Sultanate but continued to be worried for their Shehenshah even while they were in jail.

(3) Todarmal's wife and her words to Jodha: I loved it! Hats off to her! She did not beg, nor plead- she knew her husband was innocent. I loved how she said that Todarmal would die serving the sultanate and will be a veergati.

She was the first one to call out that Jodha can make mistakes but how will she repent when she finds out the accusation was false. I hoped the CVs were showing this as a sign that Jodha will repent.

(4) Kanha's sign: I loved how Kanha showed Jodha she was in the wrong with the diya going out ... It was poignant moment as the diya being lighted was so important to Jodha ... Remember when she was being moved out of her room, she was the most upset about the diya?

No matter what anyone else says, even Jodha, I know even Kanha has beautifully shown to Jodha that she has made a mistake.

But, it is human to err, so I will not hold that against Jodha ... I just hope she learns from it. Never say never guys ...

(5) Jalal's angst and anger: The storm may have seemed OTT but it was more a reflection of Jalal's state of mind and I don't know why we needed a storm as Rajat's Jalal's expression showed it all. As a Shehenshah he needs to go by factual evidence and he always has ... And he did punish Todarmal though his gut instinct told him that Todarmal was innocent. I do not think he blindly listened to Jodha but Jodha did put together a strong offensive against Todarmal.

When he said that "I hope you are happy" to Jodha I did not think he was blaming Jodha for his decision ... I think he was more asking, why isn't she happy given she got what she wanted, she proved what she wanted. Because I have never seen Jalal ever blame anyone else for his decisions.

Now, there is a 1 percent hope in me that Jalal is putting up an act for Shehnaaz to lose her guard and do something stupid ... Which will likely lead to the precap. That would be my Teda Jalal! But I don't know if the CVs are smart enough to do that.

So, what are your thoughts on my take and the episode?

Nice take Divya

The only reason Jalal gave such harsh punishment to TM was based on evidence he was found culprit and he cannot let him go or else it will send a wrong message to the crowd.
Now the million dollar question, why he did not investigate to bring the truth out, well how will Jodha gets credit for bringing shenaaz truth out and saving TM again.

The only reason i am sad today is that to make Jodha great again they made Jalal do this horrible mistake and the best part was he agreed that it was a mistake.

But i strongly believe Jalal did not make this decision to make Jodha happy. He was visibly angry with her and making her reliaze her mistake.

Great analysis Divya for speaking your heart out. Loved your take 5 inspite your busy schedules.

Zee and Ekta are messing up the characters like anything. The old Jalal is gone...😭

Fine, if that is what you want to show, but you need to have an iron tight case against Todar Mal, you need to have an eyewitness. Maham could easily have provided that or maybe Shenaz herself, just one false witness who was willing to swear that he/ she saw Todar Mal do the deed.

Surely, the CV's could have spared one person from the mountain that Surjamal created for this little task. It would have taken less than 1 minute to show, and then nobody would have had problems with Jalal's decision or Jodha's misguided views.

It is pathetic when CV's with the limited intelligence they have try to entertain an audience at a higher cognitive level than theirs.

That's exactly what I have been yielding!!! Why blame the characters and not the brainless Ekta's idiotic writers (I cannot call them creatives for they have no creativity at all!!!!) 😡😡

Really don't know what this people is up to with this show but they are making the people they are supposed to entertain feel angry and frustrated and many ready to move on to another show. If their target is to create negative drama, they're doing extreme good job!! 🤢

So I dont blame any character, nor Jodha or Jalal. I blame the show writers for distroying history and good characters like the ones they should be honouring instead of butchering!!!😭

Great post anyway Divya, love your positivity!!!👏 I religiously read you everyday!!! 😊

well said divya. yes if we criticized jalal for accusing jodha, lets also criticize jodha for accusing todermal & if we r saying tht jodha is also human & she can make mistakes, lets also say the same for jalal. at least in jalal's case he didnt believed maham instantly but continuously gave jodha the chance to speak the truth. on the other hand, jodha wasnt ready to hear todermal. anyways, 2 things which i hold against jalal & todermal in this case is;

1) i can understand jalal punishing todermal bcoz unfortunately a shahenshah has to take harsh decisions, but he could have taken time to investigate. he clearly knows tht he is making a wrong decision so it was necessary for him to take more time.

2) as per TM goes he committed the same mistake which jodha committed in the sujamal track. he should have at least taken atgha's help before following shehnaaz or could have informed jalal immediately about shehnaaz's hand injury & i cant defend TM for it, bcoz he was shown as an intelligent man.

in the end spl. mention, i loved TM's wife & at last sum sort of lectures for jodha begum as well. she needs to know tht even she can be wrong.

Well written .very nice.

i want her to improve her logical thinking

Yes, both Jalal and Jodha have made a mistake ... But the question is how they both evolve from the situation

I hope to see a repentant Jalal and Jodha ... To err is human, to learn from it is the key ... Jalal for sure will ... And hope to see Jodha as well
