Lets see the truth !

Akbar had loved each and every wife of his equally .. but there were only his three chahiti begums , ruku , jodha and salima .. but as salim was the future emperor and son of jodha , Jalal was much bound to her ..

aur jaha tak baat rahe salim aur ruku ke toh :-

Ruqu in real life wasn't a negative character woman .. i read in wiki that as she had lost many kids of her own's i.e she was much attached to salim and so salim , and therefore jodha didn't had anny problem with it , ruku taught salim , usko padhana , khilana everything ruku looked after it

Akbar did love Ruqs, she is his cousin, his childhood friend, his chief consort, he also loved Salima and had a child through her as well. Salima was his cousin too. As JA has that disclaimer not all that is shown is historically accurate. Jodha was important to Akbar as she was the mother of the heir to the throne. While Akbar probably loved all three of his wives to whatever extent time and state affairs would let him love them (the real emperor, I mean), he did have other wives and concubines so I take this grand affair shown on TV with a grain of salt, it is enjoyable as fiction but not entirely accurate.

Ruqs, the real empress, is portrayed in history as a regal, kind hearted, well versed woman. Akbar once said in later years that a man should take only one wife unless he is childless. The real Akbar did love his Ruqaiyya begum a lot.

Salim was close to all his mothers but again that does not mean he loved his own mother less. He built her the tomb after her passing (she outlived Akbar) and there is mention that he broke his fasts with his mother's hand cooked meals which he loved.

This Jodh Bai(also known as Jagat Gosain but her real name was Jodh Bai) is Khurram's mother and if you go to Jodhpur fort and museum there are details about her. She is Jehangir 3rd wife after Man Bai and Sahib Jamal and mom to Khurram/Shah Jahan and empress of mughal empire from 1605 till 1613 till Nur Jahan took over and his senior most wife since first two died before jehangir became king. This Jodh Bai is daughter of Mota Raja Udai singh of Marwar

Jehangir mom name is Hira Kunwari- she is from amer/jaipur and Raja Bharamal daughter.

Jodh Bai(aka jagat gosain, taj bilqis makhani) is mentioned in many mughal chronicles while hira is not at all mentioned. Hence may be historian's assumed Jodh Bai is Akbar's wife????

Shah Jahan even gave Taj Mahal first name as his mother's name(official name). Taj was Jodh Bai's official name. So agian another myth that Shah Jahan was not close to his mom or not allowed to meet his mom in childhood as he had very good relation with her. Hence he named Taj Mahal after her first name.

Frankly Ruqs was Moghul princess!
So, if next emperor is to be given upbringing of Royal Moghul typo, only Ruqs can give it!
We all saw how Mulla n maulavis created rukus when Jalal visited temple, let apart an emperor wid Hindu upbringing!
So even if Jalal must have handed Salim to Ruqs, tiz only for political conveyance!!!
