Ruqu in real life wasn't a negative character woman .. i read in wiki that as she had lost many kids of her own's i.e she was much attached to salim and so salim , and therefore jodha didn't had anny problem with it , ruku taught salim , usko padhana , khilana everything ruku looked after it

to be honest...from what I know abt history...akbar respects and loves all his wives equally...he knows his responsibilities towards each and every wife...whether its jodha...ruqaiya...salima and every 5000 wives...he treated equally...its just that when it comes to his personal feelings...ruqaiya and jodha values more...ruqaiya its becos she is his childhood friend...his first wife whom he was attached with all his life...whom he grew up with...whom he played with...whom he shares his happiness and happy moments with...while with jodha...she changed him as a person...since she is a hindu princess...he got the knowlege of other religions...other culture...above all she is the mother of his first born...who gave his empire the next king ..thus she always remain close to his heart and soul thus all the facts of history being shown in FPS...

salim is known to be fond with ruqaiya...he loves her so much...akbar as much as he loves jodha...he loves his friend too thus he could feel the pain of his friend...his first wife...how much she is yearning for kids...how much she is in pain of loosing their kid...thus salim was a ray of happiness in her life...knowing real life jodha is so kind-hearted...she agrees to it

even if show jallu gives salim to ruku...its history fact that cannot be changed...everyone says he doesn't care a damn abt ruku...but I would like to say he does care and love her as a friend...after ruku is expose...he will be heartbroken not becos his dream of being a father shattered...but becos he has lost BFF...he will ignore her...he will be angry at her but deep down in his heart...he will always care for her...old relationships doesn't break easily especially for a man like Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar...who values relationships like he worship god...

As JA has that disclaimer not all that is shown is historically accurate. Jodha was important to Akbar as she was the mother of the heir to the throne. While Akbar probably loved all three of his wives to whatever extent time and state affairs would let him love them (the real emperor, I mean), he did have other wives and concubines so I take this grand affair shown on TV with a grain of salt, it is enjoyable as fiction but not entirely accurate.

Ruqs, the real empress, is portrayed in history as a regal, kind hearted, well versed woman. Akbar once said in later years that a man should take only one wife unless he is childless. The real Akbar did love his Ruqaiyya begum a lot.

Salim was close to all his mothers but again that does not mean he loved his own mother less. He built her the tomb after her passing (she outlived Akbar) and there is mention that he broke his fasts with his mother's hand cooked meals which he loved.
