to be honest...from what I know abt history...akbar respects and loves all his wives equally...he knows his responsibilities towards each and every wife...whether its jodha...ruqaiya...salima and every 5000 wives...he treated equally...its just that when it comes to his personal feelings...ruqaiya and jodha values more...ruqaiya its becos she is his childhood friend...his first wife whom he was attached with all his life...whom he grew up with...whom he played with...whom he shares his happiness and happy moments with...while with jodha...she changed him as a person...since she is a hindu princess...he got the knowlege of other religions...other culture...above all she is the mother of his first born...who gave his empire the next king ..thus she always remain close to his heart and soul thus all the facts of history being shown in FPS...

salim is known to be fond with ruqaiya...he loves her so much...akbar as much as he loves jodha...he loves his friend too thus he could feel the pain of his friend...his first wife...how much she is yearning for kids...how much she is in pain of loosing their kid...thus salim was a ray of happiness in her life...knowing real life jodha is so kind-hearted...she agrees to it

even if show jallu gives salim to ruku...its history fact that cannot be changed...everyone says he doesn't care a damn abt ruku...but I would like to say he does care and love her as a friend...after ruku is expose...he will be heartbroken not becos his dream of being a father shattered...but becos he has lost BFF...he will ignore her...he will be angry at her but deep down in his heart...he will always care for her...old relationships doesn't break easily especially for a man like Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar...who values relationships like he worship god...

right now, i am not bothered. whatever akbar did,is done. i havent heard of anything much about salim.

Akbar didn't gave Salim to Rukku. Salim and Jagat Gosain's son Khurram (Shahjahan) was brought up by Rukku. Akbar gave Khurram to Rukku.
Salim was very fond of Salima Sultan. But he loved his mother HK/MUZ/Jodha a lot.
Read actual history books and documents than believe in other peoples talk.
And obviously Rukku was important in Akbar's life. He might loved HK/Jodha the most. But he did love and respect his other wives too.

Akbar gave Salim and Jodh Bai's 3rd son Khurram aka Shah Jahan to Ruqaiah in her 50s to bring up as her own child when he was 4 days old

But yes Salim considered Ruqaiah, Salima and Hira Kunwari all three equally as his mothers. Salim was even close to Rukmavati, Daulat Shad etc a few more wives of Akbar and considered them also like his mothers only. When there are 100+ mothers and one son it usually is case that son will be close to many mothers(although they are step mothers).
