This will send Jo packing to Agra without a backward glance at Amer and forgetting all her hurt. 😊

hahahahha 😆 yes, Jalal could do with some support. Agra is so bad these days that

-MA has to go to khatarnak jungles to get some peace.
- Hamida Banu is worried that she may be over thinking things
- Salima Begum is working over time dispensing advice

hi Anita,

First let me voice my grievance. If u r going to write so much, pls don't use red. It lloks like a teacher has marked my exam paper all over with a red pen. 😕

I am so happy you have reassessed the situation and are now more sympathetic to Jo than you seemed earlier. I am now able to agree more and more with you that yes, Jo seems totally confused about her emotions at present. Even in her meeting with Sh Bai, she admits as much.

Jalal is more wordly wise having seen the harsh side of life since childhood. Jo has been in the real world for about a year and what a jungle safari it has been ! Naturally he will be more emotionally mature at this point. It's easy to say what ought or ought not to be done when one is emotionally wrought. but it's hard to remember this when one is being put thru the wringer.

Yes, Jo needs to work on her EQ but I am positive about her. She is learning and she will soon get on par with Jalal.

Regarding why she is still in Amer is because only her separation can make Jalal see MA/Ruq for what they are and punish them appropriately. So poor girl has been left to hang in Trishanku's heaven till they have been dealt with. Only then can she go to Agra and then support the by then totally emotionally drained out Jalal.

Like Cleo, I'm not too bothered by their separation. May be this way they will learn each other's value and step over their walls of pride and confess in an adult, mature manner their love for each other. 😊

Thanks Cleo! Hope you like today's episode. Jalal gets to see Ruq's real face too and asks plaintively, "where's my Jo, why isn't she here with me?" And Sh Bai tells Jo she is at the mercy of Ambe Ma who is at present deciding when to send Jo back to Agra.

Wow! AKT.JA (do u have any other name?) - 👏👏👏 I was half-asleep reading responses but ur post woke me up in a flash and i scrolled back to see who had written this fab post! u have captured the situation in a nutshell and given a terrific insight into the shell to all of us here.

Thanks for posting this gem. It can stand alone as a thread, u know 😃

It took me a while to get back to you, but please accept my heart-felt thanks for your kind words. This is an extremely active forum, I am still trying to figure out the best way to participate, and look forward to learning a lot from more experienced members like you.

It just so happens that I can usually watch an episode only around 11AM (USA) and my schedule may not permit me to post till evening. By then almost everything I want to say about that particular episode has been said, always ably and often by many persons. :)

This almost rules out a separate thread on that episode. It seems most natural to read what others have written and add comments to them.

Now my post above also started its life that way, but somehow I got carried away in my excitement. Same thing a few other places. I will certainly think about converting these into separate threads. Similarly, issues that are not related to a specific epi but are broader in scope can go into their own threads.

I still have to figure out how to get my soft whistle heard in the middle of a 10,000 piece orchestra that plays here, but that's for later. :)

I just want to add that you are one of the select few I have found here whose posts and comments attract me like a magnet. Thank you for all of those too.

I can very well answer this question. We are not fickle. We have no problem with a separation as long as its justifiable and the characters are not being compromised. Yes, many endorsed the separation and in any love story, a bit of angst is essential to push a story forward and build momentum. However, we never ever get what we are promised! That is the most irritating part of watching Jodha Akbar.
Tracks come and go with much fanfare and everyone gets their hopes up, but ultimately nothing happens! The story gets stuck on Jodha's ego, her pravachans or Jalal's misunderstandings, his anger. In all of this, the characters that are much loved get a raw deal and become unpalatable. Just look at Jodha now! All of us were speculating that this is good for samman etc., but the way Jalal behaved and his remorse made her seem like a woman with a rock for a heart. That is NOT what was supposed to happen! Jalal was definitely supposed to be repentant but Jodha should also have had a problem huge enough to justify punishing him this way. Some put forward this theory that Jodha feels Jalal always has the upper hand and she wants equality. That is well and good. But the problem is - its all in our head. The CVs do not subscribe to this logical view and have repeatedly shown Jodha as too prideful. They have literally stressed that she is just being too high and mighty and does not want to bow down. Hatti hai, ziddi hai, etc etc. This has severely compromised her character. Jalal, on the other hand, looks deeply in love.

Problem is not with the tracks promised but the execution which is a let down time and again. Viewers are not fickle. We do not WANT to criticize the show. But we are left with no choice when we are taken for granted.
