Sorry, just saw ur response and also read Shyamala Aunty's post just now. She also mentioned the same thing - why he didn't question her directly and stop her nocturnal meanderings instead of being a lovelorn Romeo 😆

I know right! This morning I was thinking- what if he had just said I also want to come to the Ambe Maa mandir with you! So simple na! 😊 But I don't know why, I think Rajat nailed it as a lovelorn Romeo.

Yes, it's crazy - an emperor would never behave like this. He would question her (no matter even if she cries that he is suspecting her of an affair when she hasn't even touched her own husband so far 😆) and he would tell her in no uncertain terms that she cannot go out of the palace alone any time of day or night. But this is a Hindi serial. The first rule of a serial is that no one, especially the leads, should speak to each other truthfully or ask direct questions or behave in a transparent manner. There should always be room for MUs, for other people to come and poison the leads' minds, and above all, for introducing illogical twists and turns to prolong the track.

Yes leads can never talk clearly with each other- or else do you think the Shove would have been such an issue for so long? The leads - especially Jodha- talk directly only to villains to know she knows their truth- not that gets her into trouble 😉

If Jalal had questioned her directly soon after MA told him about L'Affaire Jodha-Mystery Man, and Jodha had trashed her vachan and told him the complete truth, where would all the drama be? The whole track would have ended there only with Jalal happily rewarding Jodha for her honesty by exonerating Sujamal. There would be no forum activity nor any excitement as to what can possibly happen, and no need for spoilers 😆

You know Jodha would have never trashed her vachan- so that would have delayed things. 😊

But both characters have made a lot of progress with each other ... They are going a bit slow though ... We think they have confessed love but it was only their souls!

well i completely agree with lavanya

Why is Jodha considered "shallow"? If a person isn't evil or cruel or shrewd or scheming, it doesn't make that person shallow. Depth of character can be measured in terms of the depth of experience, knowledge, common sense and feelings/emotions that a person brings to various relationships and interactions. Jodha may be simple but surely she also feels a range of emotions like any human being. May be not at par with the wider range of facets that Jalal shows. But they couldn't be so limited either. Why the CVs have restricted her personality to that of a sadhvi who feels nothing - extreme happiness, excitement, pain, humiliation, jealousy, attraction, love, attachment, emotional dependence,... - is something only they can answer.
Jalal also has been reduced earlier to a ruthless emperor and now to a lovelorn Romeo. He is lucky to have been given slightly more shades than Jodha but not much.

The majority agree that in the present track, he could have been more assertive and questioned Jodha and restricted her movements, citing her personal security and the Mughal honour at stake. In return, Jodha, though bound by the vachan, could have been more reassuring to him and shown more concern for his obvious pain/hurt. But how will she get past the restrictions to meet Sujamal? May be she could use the secret door to move in and out of the palace. But if Jalal were to restrict that also, then Sujamal could enter the palace in Stree vesh and continue meeting his dear sister without jeopardising her marriage.

If Sujamal were discovered? If MA discovered him, she would ask him to toe her line or risk being exposed to Jalal. If Jalal were to discover him, he might either send him to prison (if he considers him an enemy) or exonerate him for being Jodha's brother (and receive plenty of brickbats from viewers) or discover his motives and support him in unmasking the insider traitor.

Even if Jodha continued to show understanding, MA could still instigate Jalal to pressurise Jodha to come clean ASAP or face the music. Then the promo where Jalal shakes her up and the spoiler of Jodha going to the jungle could happen.

Why the CVs chose to go with a silent heroine and a hero who also suffers in silence till bursting point is and will be a mystery to all of us. It's like those 60s movies. The hero and heroine always had an MU like this towards the interval but would not clear things up thru a direct talk. Rather they would sulk and sigh and only in the last frame, when the heroine is about to board an aeroplane and go away forever would the hero jump into action to stop her. This then seems to be the inspiration behind the present track 😆

The CVs seem keen to show how much Jalal has changed, how much he trusts his wife and how much he repents his earlier hasty outbursts on her. Hence this track whose sole intent seems to be to show that no matter how much Jodha exasperates him and MA instigates him, Jalal will not get angry but will just keep reiterating his trust in Jodha and his own failure to win her trust.

The only consolation I can think for Jalal lovers is that he will not actually need to apologise to Jodha even if she goes to the jungle or is kidnapped by SD. This is the beauty of JA. The leads can kill each other without having to say sorry once!😆 At most, he may say "beeti baaton ko bhool jaana hi munasib hain, Jodha Begum" and she will say "Amen".
