You can see the gradual progression of Jalal being shown from the cruel, arrogant and unkind to the caring, understanding and considerate. His transformation is so clearly laid out right from starting episodes to suicide track to the Benz track which lead to the culmination of his love for Jodha. Also the SWs have given Jalal the most interesting dialogues, you will remember most of them. 😳 . His character invites sympathy.
Unfortunately the SWs did not show a similar transformation for Jodha and her characterization is still perplexing. It takes extreme forms. You hardly see any change since the beginning till now. It takes swings as per the track. That is why her character invites strong criticism. The emphasis on her hunars is mocked here the most. Her character comes across as flat. The SWs never gave Jodha any interesting dialogues that you would recollect.
The current track will probably show transformation in Jodha, if you recollect yesterday Jodha said "hum swayam ko badalna chahte hai". And today she herself went to speak to Jalal not asking or demanding something but to share about her decision.
I am still hopeful that the SWs will work on character of Jodha and show a similar growth for her and make her character as interesting as Jalal.

Not really Lavanya.. Jalal has ALWAYS been a multidimensional grey shaded character (the shades of his grey swinging from light grey to dark charcoal)... he is a Baazigar... his decision and reaction with every track is perplexing and we're left wondering which when why how and what! He is a Mughal version of Lord Krishna - good to his well wishers and cruel to those who've spurned him...
those who can accept/like him with these shades will like his characterization...
There are still many (even here) who can't stand him- since they don't like his swinging ways.
Jodha, on the other hand - has always been straightforward (except on this occasion) and attempts to be white... she is fiery, but one-dimensional like Radha.. how much ever you try...you cannot make Radha as 'unpredictable' as Krishna, because she doesn't come with as many shades...
There are many who like her for what she is, because she is not one to play games/tricks and comes with no intentional malice/viles...
The only real vile her character had was that of Prejudice which she has abandoned now...
So, the main growth in the serial has been Jo towards Ja and Ja towards Jo! Their inherent characterizations haven't vastly changed IYKWIM...
Jalal's cruelty or whatever stopped with the leg-cutting scene... 😆 since then, he's pretty much been like what he's now to everyone else...only his equation with Jo is an enigma with every track!

Yes, our hearts do go out to Jalal. Not only because Jodha is not being truthful with him, or not even because MA is trying to use even this issue to manipulate him (I mean that lady did not even spare his unborn child, what else could you expect), but for me it is because he feels he is alone again. That's how he felt during Ben track too. But then he didn't know what the companionship or love was. Now he knows that his heart beats. It speaks of and for Jodha. After being showed glimpses of truly tantalizing future, he feels that it was a but mirage. May be that hurts more than anything. He repeatedly said yesterday "Hamne jise kareebi samaza..." May be that is at the base of all his misery.

Many feel that Jodha is a victim of circumstances. To an extent, yes. But then let's not forget she's a one resourceful lady. She could give an artful solution to Jalal-Ruk divorce issue. She could get child marriage law passed. She even got Not-So-Sharif-uddin out of the jail. She pushed Jalal to re-consider his stance on behavior with his Praja and even towards his Bandi's. True final decisions always were made by Jalal. But Jodha was the catalyst in each and every situation. Suddenly she is becoming a victim of circumstances. Small instance. But during Ajmer trip, when Jalal made her promise she would not say anything to free him from Daroga, she didn't, but she stopped the Daroga from thrashing Jalal. But suddenly she has become clueless. She is just moving with the winds. I mean, a little practicality could be shown as one of her Hunars. How in the name of God, does she expect to unmask the in-house conspirator and save Jalal (with the help of Sujamal, no doubt, who by the way does not leave in the palace) !!

Jodha has bestest intentions. She ultimately wants to remove the threat to Jalal's life. But means to an end matter too. If this is hurting Jalal more than anything, then should she not reconsider it at least once. She can't be that blind to his misery. He has said he will always believe her. He has repeatedly asked if she has something to tell him. But Jodha is missing all the clues. God knows why!! (or rather CV's know J)

Will it be fair if we expect Jalal to keep on repenting on his past mistakes? Keep giving a benefit of doubt to Jodha because of last grand gesture. Nobody is denying that, that gesture was indeed quite selfless. But one can't simply live off of past glories.

One more point, even if it's her beloved cousin, he is an enemy of the state. Even if she can't rejoice in his capture (or may can't even aid his capture), shouldn't her loyalties are little tilted this time? After all, this is the same Jodha, who told her Bapusa that "Mughal Sultanat ki Beghum" won't be able to forgive them for deceiving and hurting her in-laws. (How glorious she looked there!!) She is crying over the fact that she is hiding the truth from her husband. But is that enough?

It's really sad to see these two soul-mates going through this much pain, this much misery. (I am sorrier for Jalal though) . What makes it worse is this could have been avoided, quite easily too..

Btw, was it really a 200th episode? Wasn't too different than 199th or 198th one...

Exactly this could have been avioded.
And how is she even helping or doing to find Jalal killer.
How will sujamal know about that person?
On what basis is she waiting.. Is she 100% Sujamal will know before they do a plan B to kill Jalal?
By not saying this to anyone, and she too not doing anything .. How is she saving Jalal's life?
By hurting him, torturing him?
And i someone feel its CV's mistake than Jodha's that they show her to be too intellligent sometimes and at times they show her so Dumb...
They show her to be very sensitive and at times very insensitive...

Oh dear😆😆 You have yourself stated that Jalal has been multidimensional meaning he progressed from some traits to some more traits and that Jodha is uni-dimensional that is she has just some basic traits and in short it is flat. This clearly signifies that Jalal is a more interesting character with shades. Jalal's cruelty was in various forms was visible till probably the fake pregnancy track. If you reminiscence the serial from start till now you can actually see the graph of Jalal. Sadly the SWs never made one for Jodha.
I will refrain from going into the Lord Krishna and Radha because they are Gods and revered and prayed.

May be, there is a turn around in the decision which makes Jodha shirk out or leads Jalal to find out. This will impact their relationship too.

jalal a multidimensional character has found one aspect of his character through jodha and that is his heart which he claimed not to have one..we saw that growth and some more related to humanity and feelings for others and it happens when someone is in love everything becomes beautiful...

jodha did change from ghrina to acceptance to friendship and now is her turn to reciprocate to jalal's love..and here is where cvz need to work on her characterization..this very part has been like a yo yo to the extent that its getting annoying..most of the audiences have lost patience and r going, come on do it now🥱...

all i can say is ekta by stretching the confession part is not adding any thrill or any trp quotient..in fact it is getting dragged and boring!
