What is stopping Rukayya from following positive influences, she is the ONE CHOOSING TO FOLLOW MA.

Rukayya ENJOYS insulting and humiliating people, what is likable about such people?!

She was barely civil to Jodha who was scared stiff when she came to Agra, a nicer person would have behaved better with her, like SB, HB did. Rukayya chose to threaten, humiliate Jodha and flaunt her EGO.

Which kind of persons tells her husband's new wife that he will throw her after spending one night with her?
There are LOT of examples of kings having multiple wives where they lived with dignity.

Rukayya was GRAY till she thought her property - which is what she considers Jalal was ONLY hers. When she thought somebody is going to take him away - then her true colors came out.

It is NOT for Rukayya to decide WHO Jalal should love, It is not for Rukayya to DECIDE what rights JODHA should claim on Jalal.

Jodha - Jalal RELATIONSHIP IS ONLY THEIRS - Rukayya has NO RIGHT to tell them both how to be.

OK she did not know about Ben being vishkanya - BUT SHE KNEW Jalal did NOT want to marry Ben, he protested. What kind of friend GOADS AND PUSHES her friend to marry another woman TO SPITE HIS ANOTHER WIFE?

Rukayya ALWAYS robbed the women of haram of their dignities by treating them like her personal slaves.

RUKAYYA IS NOT ABOUT GIVING RESPECT TO ANYBODY NOT EVEN TO THOSE WHO LOVE HER AND PAMPERED HER.
Rukayya ONLY listens to Jalal not because he is HER HUSBAND because HE WILL NOT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. She TRIES with him also to manipulate him into behaving THE WAY SHE WANTS with his other wives.

Rukayya IS NOT EVEN TRULY GREATFUL TO JODHA for saving Jalal's life. If she was she would not say that Jodha DID IT OUT OF SELFISH REASONS.

Rukayya is petty, selfish and vindictive person, who enjoys belittling people because SHE CAN DO THAT.

She is not about GIVING RESPECT - SO SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO GET IT.

THAT SHE WAS GRAY earlier IS BECAUSE IF SHE WAS NOT EVEN THAT - then Jalal would not have even had affection for her! It is NOT TO BE PRAISED IF SHE HAS BEHAVED NICE SOME OF THE TIMES. MOST PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT THEIR ENTIRE LIVES!!!

Second chance at What? - If now Jalal loves Jodha and NOW Rukayya decides he should NOT - it is not for her to decide.

Second chance at being Jalal's wife, she has always been - WHAT STOPPED HER IN BEHAVING DIFFERENTLY. If she had maybe Jalal would have been a different person, and might have loved her.

Jalal has always pampered her too much. I do not even agree that Jalal should CONFIDE in Rukayya about his relationship with any of his other wives or his feelings or lack of for them. There are certain boundaries and this is an IMP one. Jalal did it earlier and what Ruk & MA did - they USED JALAL'S HURT and INSULTED EGO to USE IT FOR GETTING THEIR WAY - using that to manipulate him into behaving the way they wanted.

They RUBBED it on Jalal's face everytime NOT tried to make him forget it? If they cared for Jalal's feelings they would have tried to heal him not rub salt in his wounds by mentioning Dhakka and Jodha's behavior in his face all the time.

What if Jalal had confided about the Dhakka with HB and SB. How would they have behaved? Not like Ruk or MA. So how Ruk behaved after the Dhakka had NOTHING TO DO WITH JALAL but EVERYTHING TO DO WITH SEEING A CHANCE TO DRIVE HIM APART FROM JODHA.

Absolutely brilliant post. Agree with everything you have written about Jodha, Jalal and Ruq.

Regarding Ruq, the problem now is that she has not realized her behavior is making Jalal drift away from her. He sees through her antics quite clearly and not impressed at all. Jalal is not the same person he was before. Like you said he has evolved. With Ruq, before she can change her behavoiur she needs to admit she has a problem at hand. As long as she is not willing to do that she is unfortunately remains the same. If a person is not willing to change there is absolutely nothing anybody else can do. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Jalal in the past has been overly indulgent with Ruq and has spoilt her rotten. Looks like it has come to bite him in the backside. All this indulging by Jalal has made Ruq think she can manipulate and control Jalal to do her whims. Ruq has not come to the realization Jalal is not a child anymore. Whereas Ruq seems to still have the emotional maturity of a 9 year old. You can forgive a child for having temper tantrums but it gets very old very quickly when an adult behaves like a spoilt brat. Ruq needs to be held responsible for her actions. She never had to do this in the past, for she held absolute authority over anyone in harem.

Jalal has moved on from his childhood and is looking for adult love. Our feisty Jodha really doesn't have be anything other than herself for Jalal to fall for her like a ton of bricks. Not that I blame the guy. Jalal sees in Jodha everything he wants in a wife - the loyalty, kindness, honesty and courage. You can see he very much wants the love and care Jodha bestow on others for himself.

Unfortunately being in a polygamous marriage Ruq needs to change with time or she is going to be left behind.

Jalal Jodha relationship is NONE of Rukayya's business just as Jalal Rukayya relationship is NONE of Jodha's or Jalal Salima relationship if NONE of Jodha and Rukayya's.

what I feel is a silent lonely crying hidden heart of Jalal's was made to start talking by Jodha's actions, was made to feel companionship without any ulterior motives by Jodha being there (uninvited/unwanted but there when needed), was made to stop crying coz of the lifetime of no existence by Jodha who time and again proved that "do u feel that beating in ur chest with happiness n pain, thats ur heart" she cared . Love is not handed out or felt on first come first serve basis now is it.

So yea even if Jalal started private classes on Evolving and Improving, I don't think Ruqs would enroll. Her self realization and evolving is to be done by her, she needs to feel what she is doing is wrong. No amount of sitting her down and explaining can achieve that. It never has before has it?

Yet she tried to be happy, she smiled infront of HB, Salima to almost everybody else she met. If Ruqu had tries that for even just a day in her life, she would have been much better today. That is why Jo has become respectable today and that is why Ruq has fallen in my eyes.

I only pity Ruq that hers is a world full of suffocation... Suffocation because she chooses to be mean, ungrateful and arrogant every second she breathes. I don't think Jalal is wrong. Jalal has always listened to her. Polygamy was a norm in those days and you can't feel what they felt, nor can you step into their shoes. I can't imagine myself in her place as I can't remain mean for long and I look for positivity so Ruqs attitude is definitely not what I am comfortable with.

I would however love to see her redeemed. I would love to see her feel the brightness of sunshine instead of sulking in the dark. I would love her to spread warmth with pure intentions. This is not something Jalal can bring about. Sitting and talking about his feelings would only rile her up. Only she can bring about change in herself with the help of her god. She needs support and encouragement from her near and dear ones but that can only happen if she's showing an inclination to reform, will power to change her life. This is something she lacks and I don't blame Jalal or HB or someone else for that matter. She has ample sense to see the right path. (Afterall she managed the Harem and did Jalal ke diamaag per hukumat!!)

I too don't like this auda conscious, screaming and shouting Ruq. Yup she is ungrateful and in the recent past atleast is just not behaving like a queen.

I agree with all the points everyone has said and trust me I didn't like a bit when she chipkufied to Jalal in previous episode.

But while reading all the posts and comparisons between Jodha-Jalal-Ruq, the though came to my mind was

If Jodha had not come in Jalal's life, she would not have been in this position na.

Well we can't blame anyone here neither Jodha nor Jalal, its just what came to my mind. (Maybe because I saw too may after Jodha...)
