Thanks friends. I am glad to see so many perspectives on Ruqaiyya. It is wonderful to get all POVs. Makes one see the larger picture.

I have been never against any character - I am staunchly in the corner of my Tedha Emperor and I have always made the effort to put his POV across - And my belief is that one learns most from examples set by others.

In all the posts that were so heart warmingly stating Ruqs POV my only problem - as @munnirony puts it - is why shd TE be blamed for Ruqs behavior and how is he a bad friend and what is he supposed to sit Ruqs down and talk about???

If Ruqs is his best friend and he has given her all the freedom and rights to question him about anything, then why does she not confront him with her insecurities??? That she is not doing so means somewhere she knows what he will say and does not want to hear it.

If all remember after the chess game with Jodha, when TE goes to meet Ruqs, he did start the conversation but it was Ruqs who refused to continue and changed the topic - what does that tell TE of Ruqs and her frame of mind??? Is he wrong in concluding that Ruqs is not in the frame to listen to any reason??? Would it then make any sense for him to speak to her about the changing equations btwn him and Jodha??? Is he wrong in assuming that speaking to Ruqs in the current scenario would be detrimental to Ruqs and Jodha both???

I agree with all the points everyone has said and trust me I didn't like a bit when she chipkufied to Jalal in previous episode.

But while reading all the posts and comparisons between Jodha-Jalal-Ruq, the though came to my mind was
If Jodha had not come in Jalal's life, she would not have been in this position na.
Well we can't blame anyone here neither Jodha nor Jalal, its just what came to my mind. (Maybe because I saw too may after Jodha...)

Let me put it this way my friend, TE would still have found a way to 'EVOLVE'. As I stated, Life provides everyone with the opportunity to 'Evolve' - And it would have still provided those to TE - and TE being the man that he was he would still have 'Evolved' - And he would still have become Akbar - becoz he was a man who recognized and seized those opportunities

even i sympathise with ruqaiyya but laying the blame on Jalal and making him feel guilty of falling in love is underhanded and cheap...we expect him to be the friend and husband but never question why could she not be the friend and wife he desired...two people make a relationship ,one cannot ...and Jalal is in love and tomorrow if ruqaiyya in some way tries to harm jodha i expect him to react ,finally react...he deserves to be loved and be in love ,to have a companion in his life ,an equal to him ...

that does not mean ruqaiyya does not deserve but some love stories are just not meant to be ,you cannot force one to fall in love ..and her plots and plans and schemes will take away whatever is left with her ...MA is using her ,playing with her but she is supposed to be intelligent and smart ...i hope her brain starts working and she realises that she is being led on to the path of destruction ...

and now it is too late to sit and talk ...she is going to suffer a heartbreak and then realise the truth ...and she does care a lot for Jalal in her own twisted way and i see her at some point compromising herself for his happiness...

Nd as per talking to ruku as far as I remember jalal had already told ruku tht jodha is his new friend. So we cant say tht jalal haven't tried. Regarding love he cant talk about it until nd unless he is sure about jodha's feelings. Nd if jalal tells ruku tht he is in love with jodha will ruku understand tht? Just think from jalal's point of view once.

Great post! 👏Now coming to the point.

Never I will agree that anyone has to be taught to evolve. Its an attempt you need to make from your side. It should come in form of self realization. But if someone doesn't want to realize and accept the reality, then what can be done? Now even if you make people sit in front of you and preach them, they won't change if they don't wish to. Is Rukaiya a kid who has to be made to sit to let things into her brain? You can preach people as long as you want but you always don't get receptive listeners in them. [Any well wisher of Ruqaiya may not have got a receptive listener in her but Mahamaga has definitely got!]

Ruqaiya needs to explore herself to evolve. The deeper she will go into herself, the more she will realize that her greatest enemy is none other than she herself. Ruqaiya has actually lost her way because she has lost her sight; she has lost the ability to judge between the right and wrong. People in this world often come about as mirrors through which you see your reflection. But the entire world has both good and bad people. Right? Now if Ruqaiya has herself chosen her mirror as Mahamanga as a medium to see her reflection, then is it not her fault? Now in this case a mirror is able to deceive a person because it knows you can be easily deceived. Why to blame the mirror only when you yourself opted to see a wrong reflection? Her judgements and actions have gone wrong and she herself is responsible for that, not anyone else.

She has got the maximum time and attention of Jalal till date. Now that should automatically make her ponder what is the reason that things have now changed between her and Jalal. Before blaming Jodha she should ask herself that what is that Jodha could do in months and she couldn't even do in so many years? The fact is that she never knew Jalal, she never made any attempt because she never wanted to!! She always wanted to be BEK. But Jodha made Jalal the person he was meant to be. And today she sees herself as Jalal's wife and Jalal as her husband. Nothing else matters to her. This is the difference between Jodha and Ruqaiya. Now isn't that easy to guess who would a man prefer of both?

Thanks Adi. I completely agree Jalal grabs all good things. He Evolved as good because he had the urge to learn and grasp good things. He genuinely wanted to do good for his people. He is always eager to learn.

The point I mentioned above was only from Jalal-Ruq relation if Jodha had not entered His life.

loved the views posted here.

i still believe there is goodness left in rukaiyya. maybe coz i remember the silent tears shed by smiley's rukaiyya for failing her friend by falling in love with him. may be that girl is still somewhere..

i am not connecting with this version. but unless she does something really dark to the point of no return will try not to see her in pitch black colour.

No one blames jalal for what ruqaiya has made out of herself. In fact you can't blame even ma. Every one is responsible for their actions. Their good and bad. They have only themselves to blame. No one blames jalal for falling in love either.

You handle the young. So you know best. Some learn even without being taught. Jalal falls in that category. They are a queer and fascinating bunch of self learners. They only need inspiration.

Some learn with the slightest and subtle hints. Jodha belongs here.

Some kids need to be goaded into learning. Some pressurised and some need extra effort on the part of parents and teachers to make them understand things. Ruqaiya belongs to this category.

So there is no comparing. No two people are alike.

If you are a parent and you child is not a born intellectual or is susceptible to commit mistakes you don't let them commit folly after folly saying that they should EVOLVE. Even when your son/daughter is old enough to take care of themselves and commit follies you do correct them. You also don't let your friend self destruct himself/herself saying that he/she has to grow/change/evolve on his/her own.

Adi, all this is futile discussion that might last a week atmost. As ruqaiya is going to be made to commit further follies and there will be no defense.

Jalal who means everything to her could have nipped her attitude in the bud. He didn't. She is going to sink to deplorable depths. Again, I am not blaming him for her arrogance for which she alone is responsible. But only for not exolaining to her or whacking her right at the start whichever method he thought was better suited.

Jalal has said that jo is also a friend. He cannot explain and he NEED NOT explain what he feels about jo to her.

But when has he told her that she was wrong in her attitudes and actions and has to correct herself?
