Jalal is definitely aware of the situations and war prisoners at that time were part of the slave - servant lot.

The difference is that unlike most of the others Jalal has been humane and gentle and well behaved with everyone who works for him and does anything for him - It has been evident in all his behavior and it is unfortunate that despite such a friend and husband who leads by example Ruqs has not managed to imbibe anything from him.

As for reforms - in a society where all the others would have protested if there was a move to abolish slavery - the standard has to be set by the house of the King - and for TE to do anything the harem would first need to be cleaned up - and Ruqs would never have agreed - toh public reform se pehle TE needs private reform in his own home - then and only then can he talk of public reform - infact the kanha murtis may have even been kept by TE (only next week will tell us who did it) - so that members of all religions can perform their prayers their way - perfect example of religious harmony in home - to bring it in the public sphere

Munni, he will definetly understand, like in our offices as well, the bosses cannot handle everything and they need managers to help, sort out, it's the same way, Jalal can't just look at the situation and tell Ruqu to eradicate slavery, it needs to be handled and solved in a system. He is good, no doubt but still bound by lot of issues and relations and that is the reason he is taking Jo's support.

@lashy and Joja well said dears.
The taraju scene and the weapon room scene was beautiful. They have really come a long way. Their relationship is in a very beautiful stage now. Where both know each other very well and trust each other.
After watching that weapon room scene gave me hope that maybe this sujamal visiting Agra won't create a big MU.

@lashy won't u make a post today? 😊

And, Jodha visiting the plight of the bandhis and having her eyes opened is something like us knowing all along about about the existence of orphanages but having life-changing experiences when we actually visit one 😃

but im confused tht he wants things to get better thts why he wants jo to take charge right??? so why cant he take sum steps himself??? i can understand when he was cruel, but now when he had changed a lot, he will definitely listen to jodha & take care of tht kid. i think CVs r keeping a loophole for sum misunderstanding. it was actually gud to see jodha & jalal supported each other so jalal would have supported in the kid issue as well.

i dont have any probs of jalal taking jodha's help. but i cant understand if he knows why cant he talk straight to ruku. as one begum had clearly said tht its jalal's rule tht no begum can behave badly with other begums or bandi. so if he knows tht ruku is breaking rules he himself can take sum steps.

I see at least five 😆

Sandhya, any scene with Jalal and his shamsher has gotta be drool worthy...😉

Btw, HB and harem administration? 😕 She'd be like the teacher who couldn't control 30 riotous kids running amok😆...Salimas too lost in philosophy and poetry for all this...Sandhya corruption then wouldn't be much diff from corruption now ...people frown upon it, but don't have the guts/time/will to fight it...Jo was like that for most of the episode too...till someone started prodding her left, right and centre (not physically...you get the jist!)
Basically, someone with a good balance of fearlessness and inherent goodness is required for the job...Ruqs was fearless (hence jalal's support of her in the Harem DEK) but Jo is fearless AND good! So, jalal is pushing her to contest...(and in a way to prove HIS faith in her right!😉)

Shreya
I think major affairs of the harem went through the Shehenshah, but not daily affairs...if you read the Mughal chronicles, it clearly states how the harem had it's own detailed administration...
Even yesterday, he says na he didn't interfere in the matters if the harem...
