but shradda i didnt get one thing. no doubt his words towards jodha were beautiful. but i cant get it, is he aware of slavery system in the harem??? or its just ruku's behavior which made him think tht the harem warden should be changed?? 2ndly, why didnt jodha said anything about wht she saw in the harem & the kingdom?? jalal now-a-days listens to her, so if she says about it then definitely he will do sumthing, then why she has to hide tht kid from jalal. jalal always had been soft towards kids.
Jalal is soft towards kids, but that doesn't mean he can practically house all sultanat kids in the palace na...practical problems are there everywhere...and Jodhas realistic approach to it what was made me appreciate her so much...jalal knows there are wrong goings, but he needs an efficient administrator for the harem and he sees Jodha having that capacity (where both MA and Ruqs have failed him...I mean he's trusted Ruqs so far and she's managed to keep everyone under control begrudgingly...but like a good leader would do, he will promote another person to the post if a better applicant is around and that's Jo!)
Jalal the king can bring reforms, but he needs a lady to implement them in the harem na...that's what today was all about...
As for the slavery system, it's a known evil...he is definitely aware of the slavery system as is ruqaiyya as is Jodha...that was the norm then,as jodha herself explains to Hoshiyaar that these evils were unfortunately prevalent all over the society then...even when those women are being dragged away in the market, Jodha doesn't jump forth to stop everything...she helps out in what way she can...
Me thinks it's more about bringing reforms in the slavery system ...
