But there was another person who documented the events of that time. His name was Badauni and he was a harsh critic of Akbar and Abul Fazl. It makes for very interesting reading when you compare what Abul Fazl and Baduni have written of the same events.

^ a critic is not a proper person documenting events its like opposites again writing from a negative angle what i meant is just documenting the events as they happened

An impartial description of history, that is never going to happen. The beliefs and opinions of the historian always cloud his description of history.

I mentioned Badauni, because he alone would not be useful, but when you combine the positive viewpoint of Abul Fazl with the negative viewpoint of Badauni you get a much better understanding of historical events.

Hi,

Regarding Malika-e-Hindustan title, check this link.
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/98555146

P.S. : It's Malika NOT Mallika. 😊

Malika is an Arabic word meaning Queen.
Mallika is of Sanskrit origin, having many meanings.

Regarding, descendants, while randomly searching archives found, the officially recognized descendant by the British Government , around 1930's, lived in Delhi. Perhaps, his name was Khairuddin. At present, they live in cities of Delhi, Karachi, Lahore etc. Also, at other places, as they have migrated to various locations, in and outside India. 😊

Wow! Thanks for clearing my doubts!😃. Also, now I know that the title is Malika-e-Hindustan!😃. It is really awesome to know that some descendants are still alive and living in different parts of the world. Thanks!😃

Abhay, Major Question... (not related to the Dyslexia thing)

I just read somewhere that Akbar had restricted the Pilgrimage Tax on Hindus, but after about 10-12 years had reimposed it...??!?

Is it true?? 😕

Yes it is true. But, it was Jaziya not the pilgrimage tax.(as far as i know)😊
This has been already answered in previous pages.

Ok. That means it is time and again implemented for political reason.

Still I am a bit confused. Is jaziya and pilgrimage tax different?

Jaziya was NOT applied time and again, by Akbar.
It was AGAIN re-introduced in 1575 once, and then repealed later in 1580.

Jaziya - tax on Zimmi subjects / Non-Muslims ONLY.
Pilgrimage tax - another tax, collected from Hindu pilgrims, when they entered their religious sites.

And, why he RE-introduced this, the reason is here. This has been discussed already:

ABHAY,i read in this forum akbar has 5ooo women in harem. some are saying they are his begums.
but acc to my knowledge,in i6 cen when a KING wins a battle then other kings place his queens, girls or dassi etc also got THAT king who won the battle BUT that time that girls or queens not marries other places.which king who wons the battle that girls belives he is her husband. maybee king accepted or not.

in AKBAR CASE ALSO IT HAPPENED. THE QUEENS ONLY THAT COUNT WHICH DURING NIKKAH OR MARRIAGE CEREMONY WILL COME IN THEIR PLACE.

I THINK AKBAR HAS FOUR QUEENS. IT IS ALSO RULE THAT TIME THAT CHILD WILL SIT ON KINGS GADDI
AFTER KINGS DEATH WHICH MOTHER IS WIFE ACC TO RITUALES.&LAWS.

WE CAN SEE THIS MAHABHARATA. KRISHNA MAHAL 16000 FEMALES ARE. BUT CONSIDERED ONLY MAIN 8.

WHEN BHEESHMA (KIDNAPPED AMBIKA IN MAHABHARTA, THEN SHE ATTEMPTS SUSIDE BECAUSE HER LOVER NOT ACCEPTED HIM )BHEESHM REFUSE TO ACCEPT HER.IT MEANS
THAT TIME IF KINGS NOT ACCEPTED THAT WOMENS THEY ATTEMPT SUSIDE. SO THIS LAW IS MADE.

KING CAN USE THAT WOMEN ACC TO RULE BUT IT DEPENDS ON KINGS NATURE.

KRISHNA NEVER USED THAT WOMEN. AKBAR ALSO CHANGED AFTER SOMETIME.

MY QUES IS THIS WHAT IS YOUR RESERACH SAYS?
