i already wrote in M-P sony tv shown in one episode MAHAM not wants jalal to read. HE says to ADAM Books should be kept away from jalal. THEn HAMIDA not lives them.

BUT i also read in HISTORY AKBAR one time heard any talk or subject he not forget.

i want to share one thing MY GRANDMOTHER who EXpired two years before she was illterate

but her memory was so sharp. she all remembered RAMAYANA, MAHABHARATA. ETC ETC.

she not forget any king or queens name. Her MATH was AWESOME. CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Tamy Dear,
That's one of the reasons 😳and another being that no one really cared for his reading /writing and thought making him a good warrior was more needed at that moment...!! And later, probably becoz of social embarrassment he never made an effort to start himself.😊 But he had acute interest in scholarly things and made it a point to memorize verses and such things as he had a remarkable memory...!!😳

P.S.Dyslexia is something which has got a lot of gradations...in some, it gets treated with age...and in some it is manifested only in certain areas of learning...not all...And usually, many dyslexic children are proved to be Genius' in later lives...in their own chosen field of mastery.😊

Abhay, had one query with respect to the current track. Now in this track Jalal and Jodha are dressed as Marwari (Hindus) and are going to FS. Here they are asked to pay tax. What tax is it and is it only levied to non-Muslims going for a jiharat. I am asking this because, in the very early episodes when Jo along with her brothers went to a tirth sthal, she was asked to pay tirth kar (pilgrimage tax I feel), where Ruqaiya was also present. That was levied to non-Muslims again. So how is this tax different from the earlier one?

I think both taxes are same!! but if they are same then how come Ruqu knows it and Jalal is unaware of it 😕

That is the same reason why I asked this question. If both are same then Jalal must know about this. If they are different, then what is the difference I wanted to know (as both are related to travel done for religious/faith purpose).

Though, it appears that the tax here is same as the old one - pligrimage tax, when Jodha had given away her necklace. Let's wait and see.😊

The jaziya and the pilgrim tax had been levied on non-muslims since the rule of Khilji and slave dynasty and continued under all muslim rule till Akbar abolished it and it was later revived by Aurangazeb I think. Hence it was a matter of continuity hence the possibility of rulers knowing is slim unless someone voices dissent and since no one did hence it continued. Akbar's method of travelling incognito all over brought him the knowledge of all such practices continued in the name of tradition and this way he was able to make positive changes.

Before Aurangzeb, Akbar AGAIN re-introduced Jaziya in 1575, after repealing it in early 1560's...!.. This was for pressurizing ESPECIALLY Mewar ..!

And, then repealed it in 1580..!..😕..There is a farman dated 1579, to AGAIN repeal Jaziya..!

And, this policy is also clear from the imperial document he issued after conquest of Chittor, called Fathnama-i-Chittor , i.e., Book Of Conquest of Chittor .!.. Very bitter document...!...He DID use religious angle to achieve political objectives..😕
