13th and a Friday Shyamala !! 🤗 yeah and a pat too for getting it right !
I too,was pleasantly pleased with the scenes of Jodha-Jalal, then Jalal-Rukaiya and lastly Jodha-Rukaiya. Well scripted and well enacted ! Maham,Resham scene was a bit too melodramatic for my liking, esp Resham's shivering profile. But i understand the need ,maybe is to impress upon us how much MA's hatred towards Jodha has increased. [an intangent thought- till how long is Jo to be the aim, prey or target? repetitiveness results in dullness]
Now why Shamshuddin affair so quickly cut? I,for one, so wanted Jalal to hunt him down, show off some of his sword skill??!! but alas 😒
Here's hoping to an enjoyable track NOW!
Cheers.

Hope u r feeling better now, Aunty 😊 . I was one of the few, like u ,who didnt have hopes of Jalal s image being redeemed by any flashback scene showing that Jalal had it all planned, & so I wasnt disappointed when nothing of the sort was shown yday. From hereon, I ve decided I ll watch this show with dollops of salt, bcos the CVs can & will butcher or glorify any & every character in the whow if they want to. Will stick on with the show until all their crap becomes too unbearable for me, that s it 😕 .

It was good to see JoRuq bonding at last, but now Jalal doesnt seem to recognise who s near him or recognise their touch either. What it s meant to prove I fail to understand . Jalal seems to have misplaced his insightful senses along with his brains it seems. Dunno why the show seems to be regressing than going forward at this point of time, that s how I feel.

MA s on the way to her ruin looks like, but not before she makes some major strikes on Jodha & Jalal too. Again more discrepancy here. Jalal was shown to suspect MA s loyalties to him & watch her keenly ever since Adham s case up, but now again U turn on that too. He s back to his badi Amni jaap. Was I mistaken in seeing things that weren't there or have the CVs decided to confuse, I dunno.

Anyway, let s see how the story goes on from here, a story that doesn't look all that promising right now to showcase Akbar s greatness or JoJa s epic love story either, to me atleast. Pardon me for sounding so pessimistic, but am still mad at the CVs for what they did to Jalal s character .

Nice reading you aunty. Hope you are feeling better. The title certainly intrigued me. Sounded like a Perry Mason novel.

I must confess that my track record in such matters of prediction is dismal, thanks largely to the CVs' antipathy towards logic, but this time, I though I had it.

Your prediction yesterday certainly saved me from disappointment.

Now that we have deduced the CVs antipathy to logic and extreme craze to glorify the heroine at the cost of any and all, we can improve our track records- by predicting along these lines.

In fact I read that Tansen is going to be introduced. After having taught Akbar administration, I am expecting jodha to teach Tansen singing and make him the singer he was!

She also probably will give him the notes for Raag Deepak to light fire and Raag Malhaar to bring rains followed by a speech on the greatness of music.

So, it is NOT Jalal per se that Jodha now likes and respects, and whom she will come to love. It is the emperor who will have been a very successful experiment for Jodha's approach to life, a very apt and grateful pupil. He flatters her to the top of her bent, and there is nothing so appealing as flattery. Nor is there any such thing as too much flattery.

So Jodha is falling in love with the idea of her being able to reform an emperor. Not with the man who wears the crown.
The difference between her and Ruqaiaya in this respect is thus one of degree. Not of the fundamentals.

How true.

Also that she responds kindly and with understanding to the shock of learning that Jalal cannot read or write, for that is bound to be a sore point with Jalal, and any hint of ridicule would hurt him a lot.

Poor poor jalal! If she does sound like ridiculing.😭😭

(But, on the contrary, she may address the issue of illiteracy which is desh bhar mein vyaapak.

As I had noted in another thread, he might dress himself as a dhoodhwala, roam in his riyaya, feel aghast and bring in educational reforms, box himself into a tight spot and jodha begum will come to his rescue with her 'clever' idea)

Ruqaiya-Jodha: I loved the way Ruqaiya's character was handled yesternight. She is upfront with Jalal about her dislike of Jodha and her suspicion of Jodha's motives, but when Jalal tells her about what Jodha had actually done, she is equally direct in her self-condemnation. Her regret at having misunderstood Jodha is strong and candid, and she has no reservations about confessing her mistakes and her bad behaviour towards Jodha to Jalal.

It was interesting to see how Jalal handled this. It was very cleverly done. He did NOT make any comment critical of Ruqaiya's earlier attitude towards Jodha, but merely noted diplomatically that if she felt that what Jodha had done was right, she might like to visit her and talk to her and he was sure everything would work out fine. I duly applauded this finesse. He knows how to handle his Gatti!

Yes aunty, I loved these scenes as well. Ruqaiya is a much more realistic and endearing character. So is jalal with ruqaiya. It is only when Jo comes around that everything goes beresk. The cvs are more obsessed with her than Shariffuddin that they kill all logic, reasoning and other characters while handling her.

your post never ceases to amuse me aunty, welcome back..🤗, very happy that you have recovered from the viral and we also just recovered from a viral track as well,,😉..
Anyway one of the greatest reform of Akbar had been shown in such a poor light and with so much butchering of Jalal's character that if still the ghost of real Akbar has not haunted Ekta, I admit his ghost is also great as him and exceptionally patient.😆

The epic love story is no where near in range of vision and it has turned into an epic torture of creepy tracks, some scenes really and exceptionally come out well also as saving graces in the heap of trash as you mentioned, but directing an entire track with that exceptional proficiency and logic is totally absent..

And absurdness can't leave ekta show,in the miscarriage track Jalal himself said when he exposed the 'humsakal' to everyone that his badi ammi knows only two languages,Urdu and Arabi and and that twin used to write in Devnagari which first caught his attention to her, so now how can he ask maham to read jo letter which must be written in Devnagari if she had not asked Salima Begum to translate her letter into urdu,,😕, or possibly she really would ask salima begum to write a thanks giving letter in her name, or may be maham has learnt Devnagari secretly, which Jalal doesn't know,.Now really a simple letter writing seems a mystery itself..😆😉

You write so well Ma'am. I feel as if I am reading a classic and not some one's take on the show. Your analysis is too good and the style and choice of words are very apt. Kudos.

Shyamala Aunty very well take on the epi.😊
Here is mine, i'm just going to post what i posted on Mansi's thread as i'm way too lazy to write it all over again...😆

Ja-Jo Simple yet beautiful scene between them, the whole scene where she was massaging his head without having that irritated look on her face was a treat to watch. The little chat that they had, the smiles they had on their lips, the peaceful look on Ja's face. Every bit was simply beautiful. I liked how she is in much comfort with Ja but, yes there is always a but I really think she is yet no ready to take this to another level. It was visible how her face fell flat when she heard Ruq's name but still she is not ready for LOVE. She very clearly thinks that Ruqaiya Pvt Ltd has patent rights on The Jalal Product and Jodha Pvt Ltd shouldn't even think of manufacturing The Jalal Product or else she will face a great law suit in the future😉. And also that she values whatever she is having with Ruq now so I don't think she will even think of doing anything to jeopardize it. So I think here we are getting two reasons why she will reject Ja. But I want her to do it subtly. I want an angry Jalal all drunk questioning her why she always wants to makea fool of him? Why she always want him to feel rejected? Why? Why she wrote the letter confessing that she wants to take a step forward in their relationship and yet behaving like she doesn't? To this I want Jo to first pacify him and then tell him the truth about the letter and all. I want her to collect everything that passed between them at that moment and ask only one question to herself that even if he thought she wrote him a love letter, why he took the initiative of taking their relationship to the next level? Why was it so important to him? Why he feels this pain of being rejected by her? Why? If the track moves along this way I'll be more than happy. 😳

Jo-Ruq: This scene was the show stealer scene. I loved it so much to the core. The genuine and mutual respect from both the side was a treat to the eyes. The gift given by Ruq was very nice and it was given whole heartedly. As for a person like Ruq who have taste for fine things in life, giving an equally precious gift to someone is same as for a person like Jo who like meaningful things giving a yet again meaningful and symbolic dhagha to Ruq. Both of the gifts were meaningful in their own way depending on the person who is giving it. The glances they share at each other, they smiled they dedicated to each other, Jodha's tears and Ruq's genuine adaab, all of this was so beautifully done😳. I wish we get more such scenes of JoRu in the future. I really hope.
I really don't want to write anything about the Leeechad sharifu and Maham...

A curious point: Jodha clearly sees Jalal as Ruqaiya's property, with an invisible No Trespassingsign plastered over him, which is why she takes it for granted that Ruqaiya will be upset with her over the head massage.

^🤣

Jo Darling is going to need a permission slip signed by Rukaiya later on for spending time with Jallu. 😆

Lovely post Aunty ❤️

I hope you are better now. Do take rest, the forum can wait. I see you can't help writing.. it's going to affect your health. Please take care.

Did anyone notice that the only reason Jo got in action was that because Rukaiya accused her of ruining her life?
