I can't explain what I am feeling exactly but something is gone wrong in the story telling process for me. Nowadays I watch each episode in 5 mins tops 10 mins, and that too with a frown on my face. The last time I truly enjoyed episodes was the Amer track, but alas I have to confess the episode where Jalal takes his clothes off and does his push ups was a good one too, even though I didn't like it at first but wickedness/naughtiness that was part of his charm during that track was the best. I am seriously zoning out now. Even the fake pregnancy track was good, and the last good episode was the Bakshi Bano/Jalal confrontation episode all till that point the show had a certain charm to it certain magic whether it was dialogues, setting, characterization, there was a fluency in the story a gravitas. But now the magic is fizzling out for me because I can't even explain to myself why I find the show so boring for me and the love story so not epic to the point I am thinking is Jodha becoming a husband stealer.
I don't know maybe it is just me maybe I had different expectations and I have lost interest now. Only thing I can think of for my disillusionment is that it is not that Jalal character is gone wayward, but it is just that he and Jodha just are not clicking for me. How can a show about an epic love story be watchable if you no longer feel like routing for lead couple.

I am just rambling here I don't know I need a good night sleep.

I get why you are feeling disillusioned with the episodes as of late. There was a certain something to the stories and tracks but now that seems to have fizzled out. The lead couple does not seem to be clicking or at least not in the way we would have liked. For me, the other problem, is that Akbar no longer has that same personality and manner that made me love his character. He seems to have undergone a drastic character change and lost some of his charm in that process. Lets hope that it's temporary and that he becomes the Akbar he used to be.

Jalal personality has changed exactly. The problem is they build him up so much, and now when it comes crashing down it is like air going out of a balloon maybe the effect of that is affecting rest of the story. His persona was the pull factor for the whole show.

The whole reason I started watching the show was because of his persona - it was so different compared to anything I had seen in a Hindi serial so far and now that persona is being deconstructed which only serves to push me away from the show. I want Akbar back!

this is the problem...
jis ko daikhi who shansha ki Baja kar chala jata hae...
look today ... what they show taan sen ... I always think of tansen so humble and decent guy...but he didn't answer back decently even Aktga khan..not he greet emperor... teda means ill mannered I cant take this...
what kind of king is this ... in the beginning he was used to so sharp minded and sharp tongue..
Jalal did not even gave hm a strong answer... uska dialog writer change ho gya lagta hai..
jalal's dialogues are not like previous now
in beginning he was like nobody can stand infront of him...
Akbar was known for make people nervous by his 1 glare..that was our own Jalal in the start of show...

I am laughing like a crazy person thinking of poor Jodha falling in love with the idea of raja-praja tuition, without knowing that her pupil can't read or write and will consider intimacy for Ammijaan's sake.

You have read the situation well. It is a strange state of affairs but also entirely in keeping with saas-bahu rules. What's more, this is sufficiently backdated to the sixteenth century to be believable.

That is because till the tiger episode, there was a continuity to the story. One incident led to the other. But after that, each track is disjointed. Even the amer track startled us with jodha's rude and unbecoming behavior and jalal's saintly patience. But jalal's terrific charm pulled it through.

Then there were the two birthday tracks and blue vomit one in between. Till jo birthday track, we saw jalal running around jo which was barely tolerable. The blue vomit track had jalal in action and the final jalal-bb confrontation was very good which made up for the shortcomings till then.

But since the jalal birthday track (which was good till puzzle solving), logic is totally missing and situations are contrived to halo jodha. The Tasneem track is the final straw.

In their attempt to highlight jo the cvs have destroyed jalal who was THE foundation of the story ,whose intelligence and smartness was the usp of the show. When the foundation was shaken and pulled apart, everything collapsed and all that remains is just a debris and shadow of a once endearing show.

We can even tolerate a bhaashan jodha and a pyaar mein deewana jallu.
But we can't tolerate a capable emperor hiding behind his begum's pallu.

Very convincingly stated, Sandhya!

And the last line was awesome! 🤣

The only reason why I watch this show is Jalal. If they under-mine all who Jalal is, for the sake of bathing the lead in golden light at EVERY SINGLE oppurtunity, I might skip watching it.. 😭

Ladies, I'm glad to read these posts. These days I rely on the written update or just watch half heartedly while browsing . Especially this week las been quite dull.

They have to restore jalal ! He pretty much carries this show forward ! They have to find a balance between politics and romance . They cannot show him as someone who has nothing better to do than pander to the whims of his two temperamental wives ! What happened to creating a kingdom that loves him ?

I was so disappointed today when they never showed him thinking about how to take down the evil lurking within his fort after he was betrayed by SK . Worse he was ok with tansen being the most ungracious guest . But after the episodes we were served this week I'm tired of bashing him ! I'm not even surprised anymore. If they want to give Jo a halo then they need to give her causes to fight for on her own . How about constructing temples for Hindus in the kingdom or doing some charity or something ? If she does these things quietly and with dignity without preaching and making everyone else look like idiots , we can see why he would drawn to her . Now I'm wondering about what would happen to ruks all the time !! If they create such a strong bond between the two best friends then have to give us compelling reasons for why he would want to look elsewhere for love !

How would it look if Michelle outsmarts Obama and hogs all the attention when Obama is the president ? Not good . That's pretty much what us happening here . They bring in stupid contrived tracks with obvious solutions and we are wondering where/how/when he misplaced his thinking cap.

I loved Tansen's entry, I was nearly as excited as I am right now after reading about Benazir's entry on the show, but seriously?
He might be the "Emperor" of Music but did he have to be made look like a rude fool in front of the EMPEROR Of India? 🤢

It was so un-necessary!! Or maybe the actor did not understand or know how to portray the fankaar kee eccentricity, whatever it maybe, it came off looking incredibly rude.

With Jodha as a chief queen, am sure his behaviour could've been half way more cordial than what it was. And what was the point of showing him seated & playing? He wasn't even playing properly!

Why can't these actors observe videos online then ACT? It ends up looking comical & making you laugh, which is the worse reaction for an actor. 😆

I am hoping he improves as the weeks go by.. His is an important character.
