Well I have always seen we like and appreciate people we identify more with...
Ru is an absolutely unfair character who makes no bones about taking unfair advantage of anything...Pardon me but she has displayed next to zero depth in terms of behaviour and understanding. She'll never be the first to say she is in love for fear of rejection-- She is scared of rejection, not with lack of love.
Watching her interact with Jalal looks like he is doing a great service, a chore, handling a responsibility, which he is not enjoying. With Jo even the worst of times, the interaction appears like a challenge, that Jalal is enjoying...
Jo is a stubborn, forthright, crystal-clear woman who is clear about the identity of the proverbial spade. According to Jo, where there is love all else follows...Nothing right is going to come out of wrongs...

I am glad that I am not the only one to be turned off by incessant negativity... I wouldn't mind it, if the posts were intelligently written... I wrote a very civil ( feel free to read it) to a very popular ( forum only...thank God) writer and made a plea to avoid bashing a community/ clan/ caste as a part of her anti Jodha rant...I looked for traces of intelligence and logic in the answer that was posted in response to my plea...I read the forum rules again and the language used by this writer against some characters as well as a community...clearly breaking the rules according to my understanding... and wrote to the forum managers/ directors with my request ... No response from them either .
I plan to continue on the forum( unless they cancel my membership) and continue to post civil, positive and honest posts ( this is a small exception)...but I have to share this with others.

To me this is not about a character or caste/ community/ religion.
It is about
Not exploiting the ' freedom of expression' to push theirs thoughts and beliefs on others :
and presenting an unbiased and honest opinion of characters and facts from the show.

Honest comments and healthy criticism is welcome. Sick negativity , opinionated behavior and illogical explanations to bash a character or community should be strongly discouraged.
I hope the forum managers/ directors take notice and do something about it. At least acknowledge that my request was received . Reading the forum rules again will be useful. Thanks!

Jodha is an Empress...there is only so much you can let go or give...anything beyond shall not be called selfless, only ignorance!

What she did is politically not right (the same can be said of Jalal too) - to give it a reasoning of love does not mean its right... Then all crimes of love/passion today can be justified (by Jodha's reasoning)

Had BB's actions successfully ended up killing Jodha - or making her terminally ill - would you still stick by 'forgiving-BB-is-right' since she had done so in the name of love?

When Jodha took long to forgive her own mother (for just advising her harshly in court) and hasn't yet forgiven Sujamal (for actually demanding a kingdom that originally belonged to his father) - how is she expecting Jalal to forgive BB for trying to defame/banish/assassinate Jodha and betray him? Isn't the latter crime the worst of the lot? 🤔

Think of all these points without the mindset of which character your prefer and then you'd understand why this argument doesn't hold true...
Just as much as I'm disappointed with Jalal (and his forces) for not catching Shareef's mideeds yet, I'm disappointed with Jodha for letting go of a criminal scot-free and justifying the horrible crime committed with the reasoning of love.

Very well written indeed. I love Jodha's character but cannot come to her defence on this matter. Just like you, I also don't agree with these emotional arguments. They are the royal family and have a responsibility to set up an example . There is difference between Abdul's and Bakshi Bano's pardon. Killing an incapacitated person was against the Ameri ( or was it Rajput?) code of conduct. Dont think that same will apply to Bakshi Bano in a Mughal court. In my opinion, she should have been punished.
I don't buy the fact that Jodha suddenly acquired so much knowledge and understanding about love ( first of all this BB style of luv for SD is hard to understand... And can love be chosen over justice by a person who has been given the responsibility to punish the culprit) I think she did it for Jalal's happiness and to get over her own guilt of misunderstanding Jalal. Still, this action of Jodha cannot be justified when you look at it from a neutral prospective.

tomorrow if a commoner did the same crime and this got reported to the king, will Jodha/Jalal be able to let him/her go scot-free because it was committed out of blind love?

If they punished him, he can object that they let the Emperor's sister go...
If they didnt' punish him, then many many more people will start committing the same misdeed

After all, aren't all crimes committed due to some form of love/obsession - be it love for power, love for money or love for a human!

Its not a small mistake that BB can be pardoned once or twice and reprimanded...its a crime that could have actually led to changing the course of two royals and with it an Empire and thus thousands of people!

(what if Jalal in his rage against Jodha's adultery decided to take action by taking away support from Amer)then, other rajvanshis would have attacked. It would have led to loss of thousands of lives in war etc etc

Agree with you.

I feel there were multiple things that led to Jodha forgiving Bakshi.
1. Her realizing that it was Shareef who had orchestrated the whole thing and Bakshi was doing whatever she did without realizing the repercussions.. Not that this made BB innocent, but her crime a lot less severe.
2. When Jodha passed by Bakshi, she realized the woman was repenting her deed... staying aloof...which in her eyes was a form of self imposed punishment.
3. Somewhere Jodha realized that meting out punishment to BB would actually end up being a punishment for HB and Jalaal.
That talk abt love and what one does in love, well we all share the same thought...
A tad unbelievable that Jodha would gain so much wisdom...😆😆😆

Would you support the victim who's asking for justice
or
Tthe criminal (who justifies that he/she did it in the name of love) - seeing how BB has been pardoned?

If she let the criminal go again, then what would happen if the victim pays for it one day with his/her life...hasn't the king/queen indirectly become responsible for that victim's death?

neither i m vouching jodha's jugdement nor i m contrary jodha's verdiction abt bb's punishment..i m just saying in jodha's judgement, she gave priority her relationship with bb n i liked her depiction what she said in council..n Jalal's judgement was perfect as an emperor,he didn't pamper his blood relation at time of giving judgement which was the best part of jalal as a great emperor..therefore, they both gave their verdiction with different sense..n honestly if i was in jodha's place i wouldn't ever forgive who tried to tarnish my reputation how much she/he is my kinsman kyuki uskai liyae baadra kalija chaiya jo merai paas nahi hai.
