As i said, it holds good if the girl DOESN'T want it - par woh bhi we don't know how far a 14 year old baandhi would have had a voice in that era against a courtier...😕

If Akbar banned child marriage it would have been for girls under 10...

13-14 would have still been the norm...since it was considered that once a girl attained puberty she's fit to be married till about 60-70 years ago...😊

You should read Princess trilogy by Jean Sasson.

They are supposed be on the life of a real life Al'Saud princess.
