Jalal giving up the throne is not raj dharma. Look at what ram gave up to make his subjects happy. Ram reasons were purely idealistic I wished jalal would have had more power hungry reasons to not throw in the towel. Jalal doesn't need jodha to show him the path he is written as quite capable of finding the path to greatness. Jodha is more like excess baggage on this journey. Jodha indulges in her own self preservation, she is no sita who walked alway from her husband her home so that her husband to keep his honor, one can't expect such greatness from jodha. When jodha as a human being is so flawed any advice spewing from her mouth to her husband is cringe worthy how is that romance.
I miss the old ruqaiya and I liked her scenes with jalal. It seems like there was more love between them at first then the writers backed off. Everything has to be one dimensional with the writers. How bad would it have made jalal look if he leaves a woman who loves him so deeply for a Woman who doesn't. To portray on tv that a man can love too women is very difficult it would require exceptional writing and acceptance from the audience.
Totally agree!! 😃
Jodha isn't pure or open one-dimensional goody goody woman as she's made out to be. But alas! Since such characters abound on Indian telly they make her so.
I loved the old Ruqaiyya! She was layered. 😃 Power hungry, yet subtle. Strong yet vulnerable. And the way she looked at Jalal then, showed clearly how she was so in love with her husband but backed off very time because she believed that he couldn't love as he didn't have a heart (seriously CVs? This is plain ridiculous!! )
Jalal seemed to care deeply about her & theirs could've been a touching love story. But I reckon the CVs backed off because the Indian Hero possibly cannot love two women at the same time even though he is a 16th century Emperor. 🥱
