Really insightful analysis.. And I do agree with it.. Except for 2 points..
1. Jalal's treatment of Ruqaiya.. I really liked skanda12's point on this particular interaction nd the possible explanation of it in her review- Ruq,Hamida, Jodha, Jalal-and their new sides.
2. Umm.. M not sure about the black cloth bit too.. and I do see ur logical point.. But maybe we should wait for the actual flashback because they might show jalal wrapping jodha in a black cloth nd sitting with her close to a fire or something.. That would have worked too.. Beacause black clothes not only 'retain' heat but also 'absorb' it faster..! ;)

Awww aunty...

Sorry I don't want to offend you in anyway..after reading your reply on my thread about the one issue that possibly irked you the most - I reflected on it all for a while and then went online to do some reading.

Strangely enough even for people who suffer from acute/severe hypothermia in temperatures you are referring to (i.e. who are in a state of unconsciousness and whose body heat is diminishing, pulse is falling etc) - the treatment suggested in most medical websites (NHS/Webmed etc) is of warm blanket wrapping😕...

It doesn't state anywhere that skin-to-skin hugging is more efficient at restoring a person's body temperature than blanket & hugging...(I thought skin hugging is better too) Some websites state that it can be done, but nowhere has it been specified that it would be more efficient at reviving a person THAN wrapping them up in dry warm clothes...

I agree the 'BLACK' cloth makes little sense though...anyway, most websites seem to emphasize on dry warm clothes...and if that doesn't work then seedha 911...😆 If its only the black you are referring to then yes I agree with you ...but, warm blankets themselves are the main advised mode of treatment...😊

So, maybe Jo was suffering from moderate Hypothermia (where people get delirious and their vital signs are slipping away) In severe, they're nearly comatose and chances of surviving even with modern medicine is touch and go apparently😕!

One excerpt from a website...

Mild hypothermia: 90-95 degrees

Moderate hypothermia: 82-90 degrees

Severe hypothermia: Lower than 82 degrees

Since response to hypothermia varies among individuals, temperatures may differ.

What Is the Treatment for Hypothermia?

Hypothermia is a potentially life-threatening condition that needs emergency medical attention.

If medical care isn't immediately available:

  • Remove any wet clothes, hats, gloves, shoes, and socks.
  • Protect the person against wind, drafts, and further heat loss with warm, dry clothes and blankets.
  • Move gently to a warm, dry shelter as soon as possible.
  • Begin rewarming the person with extra clothing. Use warm blankets. Other helpful items for warming are: an electric blanket to the torso area and hot packs and heating pad on the torso, armpits, neck, and groin; however, these can cause burns to the skin. Use your own body heat if nothing else is available.
  • Take the person's temperature if a thermometer is available.
  • Offer warm liquids, but avoid alcohol and caffeine, which speed up heat loss. Don't try to give fluids to an unconscious person.

The Kala Vastra: e of the CVs. I was falling off my chair for laughing.

It was LUDICROUS. A black cloth, or even a black blanket, cannot generate heat, which was what was needed. Jodha's half frozen body had no heat to conserve. What was needed was an external source of heat. That is why the Khwaja recommended her husband hugging her tight to transfer HIS body warmth to her. And if not body heat, there could have been the Mughal equivalent of brandy, plus a blazing fire. Neither of which needed Jalal .

But how on earth can a black cloth wrapping thaw out a frozen body? This kind of nonsense is an insult to the intelligence of the viewers. And obviously none of the CVs has done even an elementary course in physics!😉

Having said all of this, this logic still seems more acceptable than the MC body double and talaaq fiasco to me...😆

Omg..That was one hell of a post..I loved reading it😆 Honestly, the CVs need to explain why Jalal has fallen in love with Jodha..Its the biggest mystery in this one heck of a thriller and i cant wait to know the reason behind it😆 Is it because she is really beautiful? Well, being the Emperor, am sure there is no dearth of options for Jalal😆 Is it because she is a multi-talented princess? Even then, am sure he can find some alternative😆 Even if am convinced that she is God's gift to mankind, its still impossible to explain Jalal's obsession thanks to Jodha's obnoxious behavior😆 Well, i'l just conclude that love is blind..Cliched i know but i cant think of any other explanation at the moment..Or wait..Jalal is probably used to women fawning over him..So he finds Jodha beghum and her arrogance refreshing?😕 Initially yes but now, its sorta become stale right? Doesn't she comes across as rude and ungrateful?😆 Ah, i have no idea..Honestly, there are moments when the show makes no sense but i don complain cos Jalal always stands out at some point or the other & Rajat is downright brilliant..So i'l probably keep watching just to swoon and gush😆 I agree with everything you just said..As i mentioned earlier, i din like the fact that Jalal kept harping about the promise in the last scene..I really wanted him to mention that he is not cheap enough to take advantage of an unconscious woman And i totally agree with you about Ruqaiya..I was sorta disappointed that Jodha never offered to convert out of her own free will..I was hoping for that to happen and was left terribly disappointed It was almost like she knew her ammijaan will support her, so she dodged responsibility and let her make the decision😆 Am still waiting for the day Jodha reciprocates and talks to Jalal in a civil manner😆 Hope i live to see that moment😆

Awsum analysis aunty. I was initially happy about jalal's gesture yesterday. But when I gave it a 2nd thought I felt no reason can be big enough to leave ur throne. Nd to be very frank why should he? He havnt done anything wrong. On Friday i loved his answers to both jodha nd the malvis. But today how can he give up so easily? Nd about jodha wht can I say. Jalal was ready to give up his throne for her but she seemed to be least bothered. At least she should have stood up nd stopped him. Both jalal nd jodha should have firmly said tht neither jodha will convert nor jalal will leave his throne. As per HB's plan goes wht if the messenger haven't reached at time? I think she should have directly conveyed tht the messenger is on his way. If evryone respects salim chisti's words so much then im sure malvis would have waited. HB's intentions were obviously pure but her plan had loopholes.

one thing i agree to is that jodha is an extremely flawed person...reasons for jalal being indulgent and caring towards her are completely unknown...there needs to be some explanation to this...i mean how on earth does an emperor tolerate and forgive such disrespectful and outrageous behaviour and we as viewers are made to believe that THIS jodha will bring about a transformation the thinking of the emperor in future...from what i see and this is purely my pov jodha came across as extremely manupilative in the durg issue...although many unanimously agreed that it was a smart move on her part to shed tears to get into the mughals good book at that point in time, but i beg to differ. It was nothing more than arm twisting and was in extremely bad taste. More so because she showed absolutely no gratitude after the fort was given away...as all she cared for was amer. Im totally disappointed with the proceedings of the show and yesterdays precap holds no promise for me whatsoever. Because i blindly trust jodha to spoil a perfectly special moment between her and jalal and turn it into a slugfest of ego and hatered. Im sorry to be sounding so negative but it will take a considerable amount of resurrection in jodhas charectarization, for me to actually believe that there can be some goodness in her...waiting for that day..

Thank you, Munni dear, and I am so glad you agree with me on the point of Jalal being so ready to abandon his subjects to what was bound to follow his departure. It was most irresponsible of him.

You are also absolutely correct about Hamida; it was very chancy and she could very well have handled it far more safely the way you have suggested.

My child, you could not offend me if you tried to!

Well, now I know what to do when I am hit by a snowstorm at the Everest base camp on my next climb.

But if I had been 40 years younger, I would have insisted on Jalal instead!😉 Jodha is such an idiot, how many girls would have had such a dishy young man chafing your hands for you, without wanting a much more close encounter?
