It was for the first time Aunty, that I was quite bored with a Jodha-Akbar episode!

It was only Rajat & his exceptional acting throughout that he had me riveted.

There were but 2 scenes that stood out:

1.) Jodha strutting into Jalal's Ameri hojraa, with her daily List Of Questions. Jalal answering the one question she was hesitant in asking- Why did he give Sukanya that durg when it was so very valued by him?

And Jalal, answering with such tenderness & warmth as you said, in his eyes, that any other women would've swooned & embrace right there & then but Jodha being a forest full of cacti, doesn't even show a hint of emotion.

Except when he says, "Hum koi bhi cheez bewajaah nahin dete chahe phir woh Qila ho yaa Mohabbat." And with a hint of a smile & a lot of knowing affection, looks at Jodha. The near heavy with meaning pause, the warm gaze at Jodha, and Jodha, eyes lowered, walks out of his hojraa.

Very well done by both Rajat, and Pari. 😊

Before that, his little story about the value of Ratanpur Qila & his reminiscing about his childhood with his father. Jodha was a little moved by it, it showed in her tiny smile. But she doesn't voice it. She's deliberately building up more concrete walls because they seem to be pulled down by Jalal, without not a lot of effort on his part.

But she comes across as so in-sensitive & un-feeling when she doesn't respond not to his obvious care, warmth & yes, love. But to magnamious acts of giving away a whole fort to her little sister as a edding gift! Not even a small word like dhanyawaad to the man who arranged your sister's marriage after she was rejected by nearly 20 Raajvanshi families, bore all insults with un-precedented tolerance for an Emperor, put up with all your tantrums, insults with amazing good cheer & humour, attacks by your community who for some absurd reason you still take to be the Paragons of Virtue & Honour after meeting two examples that prove exactly the opposite?

Still not a single word of thank you. The woman infuriates me like no-one else!! 😵

This scene is significant , much more so esp in comparison to the silly cheapness that was followed by it, because never before has Jalal confided in. Jodha or shared with her his past or about his childhood. Which is of course, one of the stepping stones to a healthy bond.

So was his admittance that for some very strange reason that he cannot fathom, it does matter to him what she her & her kin think of her. That he didn't gift his beloved fort to the Amer Shehzaadi , Sukanyaa, but to the Mughal Sultanate Begum's sister. Blatantly clear how important his relationship with her, is to him, Jalal.

And she still doesn't express any gratitude or an one-word dhanyawaad. 🥱

I really liked this scene! Very well done. Meaningful.

2.) Jalal circling Jodha's bistar, while she is sleeping 😊. Admiring her. Watching her. With nostalgia, remembering how he had seen her for the first time during the GanGaur utsav, and how beautiful he found her to be. And wih a hint of surprise, his expression showed how he couldn't believe she was here. In his Khemaa, sleeping peacefully on his bed.

Excellently done by Rajat! Who is this man?

Snippet of the day: This one was a gold one! Jalal, with utter, aching (thank you Aunty, this was the word I've been looking for since last night!!) very un-sure, with poignant tenderness & care; , caressing Jodha's face & eye-brows. 😳

To smooth her face with gentleness, but also, to not disturb her. To stare at her.

Rajat's expressions were superb! They showed all of this & also, a strange mazaa. As if he in that moment, didn't really understand why he was doing what he was doing, but he was enjoying doing it, and he decided to let himself be pulled by that.

Super-lative!

And then just for a few seconds , he had his hand stretched to stroke her face, and then, ever so slowly, Jalal rests them on the bed. 😊 As if he suddenly remembered, this wasn't a conventional wife & theirs wasn't, a normal Shauhar-Begum naataa.

That one scene conveyed much more romance & care than anything else on the show!! ☺️

Oh , and after this scene I think I have my answer- Rajat just might be the re-incarnated version of The Brando! ⭐️

P. S. I've nothing to say to Jodha but a lot to say to Jalal starting with- Why did you not let her stay otuside in the snow? 🥱

Pre-cap: I am not worried for a second about whether Jalal did anything because he never ever will , he's in love with the un-grateful chudail (he does have a knack for apt nicknames! 😆) but I am much more worried for Jalal. For very valid reasons, he does call Jodha, a baaghin! 😉

I don't think it was that..

I think he did not understand why Maham Anga was happy.. he did not grasp Maham Anga'sidea that once jalal sleeps with her, he will toss her like a discarded toy.

Oh yes! This was when the second half of the episode went from being a letdown,to straight up creepy! 😕

chee this old lady! First she sneaked into Ruqaiya's chamber,when Jalal was spending some alone time with her and now she discusses about.. 🥱 Maham,you certainly are crazy. 😕

Why didn't he understand that? He himself does it...and he has been with Jalal for so long ...Kya pata nahi hoga jalal ki aadato ke baare mein? Surely MA must have said it before too...Any way AK was saying I dont understand what you are saying ammijan...

This kind of stuff only MA can come up with. To Resham and generally everyone it would be a step further in their relationship.. they will be more together.

Resham was like: aap rukaiya ki batkismati par ro rahi hain?

I don't understand why they are showing jalal like that😕 when he has so many women in his life.. who are more than willing, he doesn't even look at them.

And he is not looking for doing IT. He can have any woman physically. What he is looking for is to be genuinely cared for. He is looking for love.

Yep, the body heat-rot was certainly cheap.

Looked like a rejected sequence of some 60s' movie. 🥱

Not in good taste at all & Ekta should stop showing such nonsense if she doesn't want the Rajputs (ooops I mean "Raajvanshis") to be up in arms again!

They'll probably come up with, "Woh ek Mughal thaa! Aur Jodha humaare yahan ki! Aap aisee kaisi baatein dikhaa Rahi hain!"

Conveniently not seeing how stupid their ancestor is for walking out in a blizzard of sorts, and for them to be protesting so much about a TV show. 😆
