Beautiful beautiful analysis aunty...
Just like you,
1) I loved all the scenes that you've mentioned - the Jo-MA ones, the ant one and all of Ja-Jo meetings!
2) I am beginning to love Pratap's portrayal and stance further and further. Thankfully, even though he's shown more 'righteous' than Jalal, he seems to have an understanding and appreciation (unlike Jodha) of the greyer aspects of politics that Jalal & his men seem to employ. I think this goes with the fact that as a man, he's had more first-hand experience of administrative matters than the more protected Jo !
3) Btw, I too love DTPG more than DDLJ
I also loved how you've compartmentalized Jalal's thinking into different departments - a beautiful analogy!👏
However, two things -
JODHA While the previous parallel 'detective' act of Jodha's during the MC fiasco was poorly thought out, I wouldn't go so far to say that the BB bit was as bad as the Rahim debacle.
For one - this one was more out of desperation.
Also, by not being able to foretell that BB would not go against her husband, the CVs have tried to portray that she's still in the Ameri bubble of Black and white. For the life of her, she can't comprehend that BB would go against the TRUTH to protect her marriage - so she's just more to her character! If she hadn't done that, how could she (and we, the viewers) get to hear from MA about the 'giving importance to husband bit' - a resounding clause that's missing from Jodha's mind/psyche/dictionary whatever! That point had to be brought out!
Secondly, one must give it to her that she doesn't have much time. Desperate to save her sister's alliance, she resorts to any twig or straw to hold on to in that sinking ship. Yes, the BB bit failed - as expected!
However, thankfully - Jo's daunt makes up for her lack of cunningness. Instead of sitting down and wailing about the failure or MA's rebuttal, she utilizes the very gyaan imparted by MA to her own advantage!
Had she not done that, she'd have been in a palanquin on her way to Agra by now!
JALAL'S SMILE - one smile that you haven't explained away is the smile that the whole forum is busy swooning about - the smile Jalal hurls to Jodha just after he makes that announcement - the smile he casts her just before he walks away - the smile just after he reads her confused frowns!
P.S. I just realized that you, Vicky and I have used the 'chanakya' comparison in our posts at some point or another...😛
