"Hearing Rajat's Jalaal not complaining even after hearing her confession ,but giving an Angelic smile and a matching affectionate speech on the rules of his true existence to his distressed Puerile Wife while gasping for life (I think CVs are trying to make him a saint really)" Seems that way to me too, and I thought this drama was to look at how Jalal became Akbar, not a Wali.

Great post Aunty!

I agree with your sentiments in regards to the post attack scene. It was wonderfully portrayed, and it could have easily been messed up with disconnected acting and emotions we usually see on TV. I was really pleased with the scene, Jalal's reactions in particular. He stood out for me, he was so accepting of death and he was so revealing in his character. I truly hope Jodha doesn't forget that, and vice versa. I want him to remember how distraught his wife was and everything she did to save him.

I also loved the blood-sindoor scene. His blood in her maang; I believe she has embraced him as a husband, too bad he almost had to die for it to happen.

Lovely post as usual Aunty. And I am glad that it was Hamida Bano and not Maham, whom Jodha confessed about her disastrous blunder first. And I also loved way Hamida asked her to pray in return after the initial aggression. And even in her own agony, she tried her best to subdue the initial shock that Ruqs would face...I mean amidst everything else, to have such loving, concerning and unbiased mother in law, is like a true blessing in itself.

I was particularly happy reading your last part about Star of the day...because last night I had made this post :https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/jodha-akbar/3764643/sparing-a-thought-for , just a couple of lines on Hamida Bano, copied here...

Sparing a thought for ...Hamida begum. Despite the blindening misery she was in, somehow she makes arrangements for Jodha's secret to be kept and especially from Rukaiya. Really sad that Ruks gets to know anyway. Bummer that! Also an honorable mention for the actress playing Hamida, not sure of her name - maybe Im totally wrong about histrionics but I actually thought she was spot-on in her reactions, particularly the scene with Jodha.

There must be a virtual blitzkrieg about the Ja-Jo parts of the episode, just thought Id chip in my two cents about poor Hamida begum.

I found hardly any takers😆, so I was even more glad reading your post. One thing I dont agree on is that the precap is Jodha's nightmare; I truly doubt if such a big revelation can be kept from Rukaiya.Despite a whole host of skills that good-hearted Salima possesses, I fail to see how she can keep Jodha's secret from Rukaiya.

It's always a joy to read your post.

It truly was a well scripted and well executed episode just the correct mix of practicality n melodrama.

It would have been really irritating to see Jodha wailing at that moment or having a sudden realisation that Jalal is her husband and she loves him.

Another point I would like to mention here is that although Jalal mentions Hamida and Rukaiya he doesn't remember MA . (Not that one can remember everyone one has met in his life when he is dying) I feel JA does care for his mom but its a child like anger against her for having left him alone in childhood.

In the rain sequence I couldn't stop myself from thinking here she starts with her long Gyaan speech , Jalal is hurt and she

wants him to understand that if you create fear for yourself in the mind of ppl around you you will be always alone ... She just needs an excuse to break into these long speeches

All said and done , loved the acting of both the leads ,and Hamida ofcourse
