I was somewhere expecting people to be disappointed with the episode, hence dint even bother venturing thru the forum. Was waiting for ur POV and came directly here...lolll!
Glad that we share exactly the same thoughts on yesterdays episode.

Sumwhere i would have been disappointed if they had shown Jodha taking Jalal to some cave and healing his wounds...This isnt some random guy who can be cured by just the touch of his girl...
He is the SHAHENSHAH and his death brings the downfall of the entire empire. I really liked how this fact was so highlighted in yesterdays episode. At one point I did feel Hamida was more worried about the empire than her son, but then again they are inter-related. Just looked like a glitch in the dialogues to me!
The characters were up-to the mark yesterday...each one living upto their image. Even the Jalal Jodha convo on how the fear of a Badshah is wht keeps him going and Jodhas response to it with the loneliness aspect was a beautiful scene. Maybe a first step to Jodha understanding Jalals POV and Jalal understanding Jodhas.

Well for Ruqaiyya..the slap she gave to Jodha for doing this to Jalal will soon fall back on her face when she sees JA coming closer.
But i am not surprised with it at all...Good going Ruqaiya!

A very nice episode...and hats off to the actors...they did a brilliant job!

A very well written analysis of teh episode. Loved your preseptions. There is no doubt about te acting skills of Paridhi or Rajat as we could not even think it as an act at any time during the entire episode. Jodha's dismay what did I do and why did I act so stupidly was very well enacted by Paridhi. The guilt that she made him fight the tiger, the shame for not thinking beyond some herbivorous animals's presence in the jungle, the helplessness when the tiger attacking Jalal and that she could not do much to divert the tiger from Jalal were greatly played acrosss Jodha's face. the shock she got when the brutally hurt Jalal attacked teh tiger in a lighning speed and killed it before he collapsed was fantastic.
When Jalal collapsed after killing the tiger, all she thought was of jalal and nothing else. She didn't even once thought about what will happen to her or his other Begums or to his mother or the Hindustan. She was only concerned about his life. She cried out in despire that she came to pray for his well being and what has she done now? She put his life in danger. In her cry she conveys to him that it bwa not her intentions to harm him, she don't want to mourn, so he can't die and he will not die. The reason, she had to come to pray for his safety and she has done that whole heartedly, so there is no question of him dying. All her sins were washed out in the rain, even the sindhoor which he had claimed to fill to take revenge. Now when she was struggling to shift him to the safety, he had refilled her mong afresh, with his own blood, the changed Jalal, who doesn't carry any revenge on her. Only during that moment, the moment she toughed the blood stained mong, she realized what he is to her. (she also got the flash back of him filling her mongduring wedding). So now she realized, he is her husband, and his life is in danger. She will do anything to save him from the clutches of death.
Alas, there he tells her what bothers him more than the death is " he doesn't want his mother and Ruqaiya see him in that critical condition as he knows very well they will breakdown. He is OK with death but doesn't like his wives wear white robe (she has taught him the meaning of colours and doesn't like her to wear white, he can't imagine her life without colours.) In that fleeting moment he ha srealised how innocent his wife is and how difficult it will be for her to lead a life without his shelter in the shrewed world. She could have kept quite, without acknoledging the fact that she had unloaded the gun. She would have enjoyed the freedom once he was arracked by the tiger (she wanted the freedom from him, she didn't want to tay anywhere near him) but here she is crying for his injury and helplessly assuring him that he will not die. What else a man require other than this innonece eagerness for him from the person who hated even his shodow?
after this, some how I feel the entire Agra scene had to be her wild imagination after his proclaimation. She visualize the scenario the moment she carries the almost lifeless body of her husband, the Shehanshah Jalal to Agra. The peoples behaviour and they will act spantaniously to the idea of alomost losing their emperor of Mughal Sultanate. How it will affect his mother Hamida Bhanu, how MA will act as a wazir but also as his badi ammi as well as Adham Khan's mother. Even in that moment Jodha can't think to lie to HB, and only she (Jodha) knew the truth. She could have saved her skin by telling some lie, but Jodha is not such a naive person who even think of lying & scheming some cooked up story. (If she had that capability, she would never have accused MA openly or put forth her doubts on MA in front of Shehansha). She doesn't think of her future but accept her fault in front of HB without any hindrance.
However, all i feel is that, if the entire Agra track is a reality, then let the precap also be a reality because, Ruqaiya will not keep quite and mourn silently. She will demand for an explaination for Jalal's failured hunting trip and Jodha is too guilt ridden to even lie despite HB ruling that truth to b kept under wrap.

a very well thought and insightful analysis aunty.though for a moment I also became disappointed when they showed jj returned agra but then after pondering the fact I found it more logical and realistic..well as jodha's blurting out the truth to hamida, she didn't tell hamida banu first what she did,she just described the fighting sequence but hamida didn't believe that jalal couldn't fire his gun knowing his proficiency in hunting, hamida knows that jalal without rechecking his weapons wouldn't go for hunting, hence she pressurized jodha to speak out the whole truth, and then jodha said about her folly. I really doubt aunty if ruqu's slapping part is at all a dream sequence, if hamida banu, not being with jalal all his childhood and lacking an emotional bonding too can sense that jalal can't do any silly mistake in hunting, ruqu, being present all the time with jalal, wouldn't believe so easily that this all happened due to some jalal's own silly mistake.

WHAT an emotionally charged episode , Aunty! How I was glued to my seat! It had all the ingredients of Love, Passion, Courage & Forbearance to make it the electric episode that it was! My favourite till date. 😳
Jalal was back to his mischievous self with Jodha. The way he kept circling her as if he was a tiger & she, a deer. And those slight smiley smirks. Haiyyye! 😳

Jodha showed herself to be what she truly is- A BRAVE, loyal & courageous Rajputani. The minute she saw that magnificently dangerous baagh she jumped in front of her pati-Dev to protect him by shooing off the tiger with that makeshift torch but he was having none of that. And the second Jalal realised what she was upto he jumped in front of his Begum & the sher to protect HER. When the chips are down, these two rely on themselves to protect the other 😃.

Rajat was super-lative & I've no words for this wonder of an actor. He can act the world off every actor on the small screen & I wonder what wonders he will do once he progresses onto the Silver screen. Because that is bound to take place.

Paridhi was superb in her bound, hysterical panic. In her angry, scared-outof-her brain rant to Jalal, "Hum Aapko marrne nahin denge! Sun rahe hain naa Aap?" In her wild-haired, torn clothes , bloody self. It was Churchill i think, who said,"courage isn't the lack of fear, it is the over-coming of it" and Jodha brought to mind the truth of this quote yesternight. Aunty, I was furious with her seeing her utter stupidity, small-sightedness & for her attitude that reeks not of a Rajputani princess but that of a nouveau riche country bumpkin!! But the way she strapped Jalal with those banyan tree ropes, the way she held his head to her shoulder like he was hers. You might say I am being a hopeless romantic Aunty, but it did not only depicted romance to me but also Jodha's understanding of the urgency of the situation. It brought to her the full-force of the Gunaah she had done . Because a Gunaah, it most certainly is! And that her actions have far more far-reaching consequences that she has ever been able to see , being a Begum of the Mughal Sultanate.

In that one instant when she sees her husband drift into un-consciousness, in her helpless & frightened anguish, it seemed Iike Jodha had grown up. And mark my words- There will be a sea of change in her after this fatal trick of hers! Jodha has always operated within the realm of Black & White not ever bothering to see that often the world is painted in grey, brown & dirty shades of white. But I am very much hoping that after this incident, she cleanses herself off all her "ghrina" for her pati & accepts him whole-heartedly. And I think she has. When she touches her Jalal se rangi hui khoon bhari maang, she suddenly had a dawning realisation-THIS man is HER husband.. And off went the determined Rajputani on ghudh-savaar, determined to not let Jalal be caught by Yamraaj! 😳

Such a colossal event was needed, for Jodha to grow-up. And for her to release her the ramifications of her actions beyond the Personal.

Jodha has constantly chanted about her Ghrina . About wanting Jalal's "sarr kata hua" on her feet. I wonder what this bed-raggled & bloody Jodha, kneeling in hysterical fright with anguished tears coursing down her face, what would this Jodha say to the Amer ki Raajkumaari Jodha
What would she tell her that would make her return to her "I Ghrina Jalal"'chant?

That when her husband, the man she has furiously proclaimed with Rajputani anger & arrogance, that she hates, when that same man was hovering near Death this Mughaliya Begum Jodha wasn't happy at all, but was furiously declaring how Jalal, her husband, HAS to live! How she had come to Ajmer to pray for his long life & how he CANNOT die because she , Jodha will not let him. "Hum Aapko marrne nahin denge!"

This Mughaliya Begum will laugh at the Amer ki Raajkumaari. For when she had her husband at her feet with his sarr , to do as she pleased, she cradled his head like it was a new-born baby & roared encouragement at him like a wounded tigress. If Jalal remembers even this one snippet, he will dissolve into full-blown laughter if she again voices her ghrina chant!! 🤣

Jalal at his most vulnerable, sure that he is at Death's Black Gates was a treat to watch. The way he says "Aap yeh itne yakeen ke saath kaise keh sakti hain" when Jodha ferociously told him he will NOT die, the way he struggles to voice his last regrets about his Ammi Jaan & Ruqaiyya Begum being child-less & what actually brought a few tears to my eyes- How he wishes that no--one sees him in this totally mangled & bloody state;

Because it doesn't be-fit an Emperor. Rajat was brilliant & that bit felt like a verbal Will! 👏

Points of the Day: Jalal never takes his Badi-Ammi's name. He only takes his Ammi-Jaan & Ruqaiyya's names as the two people who will be most affected by his death. His inner-most psyche knows the Truth.. And that pain-wracked "Jodha Begum.. Jodha.." ... I've been wondering strongly what he wanted to tell her!!

2.) Jodha stepping in front of Jalal & the baagh. Very important detail.

Pre-cap: THANK YOU, Ruqaiyya! 🥱
