Jodha expected Jalal to know that 'sending her to Amer will only bring shame to her family'. To some extent he must have realized its not the best option, but he thought Jodha preferred living her life alone with her family rather than in Agra. Jalal was in for shock when Mynavati refused to take Jodha and only lectured Jodha. He was indeed taken aback by Jodha's dialog of marjayegi par Amer nahin aayegi. You are so right, Jodha does not see any of this and even if she saw it she would not understand her husband's dilemma.

Hi Shyamala (and all others),
As ur write-up does not need praising afresh, here's something I wanted to say after I watched today's epi just now...
TO SAY THE LEAST, I AM DAZED BY THE SPECTACULAR PAIR OF OUR JA-JO IN THEIR POST-SUICIDE MISSION LOOK AND THE RIDE BACK TOGETHER...!!!!!!! ❤️

My My...!! What a PAIR...⭐️..!!!!👏 I simply could not help but feel completely bowled over by the Subtle yet Vivid implication of the "Entwining of Jodha's Hair strand around Jalaal's Neck" and the breeze softly brushing the same on his face while riding together!! 😉

Not to mention his "Husbandly concern or Rather Husbandly Protectiveness waking up regarding His distraught Wifey's Emotional and Physical State". I liked the way he stated that no one except him is permitted to meet her that day.😛

The chemistry simply sizzles Bright and HOT even with these trivial closeness between the two!!! And I am Not Exaggerating!!!😳😊 It is a sincere feeling Really...!! Paridhi and Rajat compliment each other in the BEST of BEST POSSIBLE WAYs !!👏

I am extremely exhausted today but would like to add this one thing ...😒

My sincere wish is that the CVs and Ms.EK should not spoil this wonderful and incredible chemistry with unnecessary Drama and Complications 🤢...A few nicks and cuts are okay but OTT s should NOT EAT UP MAIN STORYLINE or the MAIN Attraction at any cost !!😕

Regards,
Kamal

P.S.-Precap confirms that U were right. Just as the Mission Suicide is over , the Ghrinaa mode is back(though in a toned down way) with a BANG!!😡 And can Jo ever realize, how foolish it sounds now??😕
Also, I would be glad if u can throw some light on the questions I stated in the previous post...😊

(Sorry , but I could not help laughing out loud when I saw the Foot-Slipping incident in the pre-cap...!!How predictable and how mundane that was seeing the RK Posture so many times in SO SO many Serials till date 😆)

Oh my dear Kamal,

What a confirmed romantic you are! But even a confirmed cynic like yours truly was quite taken with our lead pair, even in the less than optimal situation of being sopping wet. I was greatly amused to see the farmers with their sickles and the peasant women with their water pots all smiling benevolently at Jalal and Jodha riding back together. Truly has the poet said that all the world loves a lover. Of course they love a couple twice as much!

I am delighted that you thought of the RK logo; it is such a tired staple of romantic scenes in films and even more so in TV serials! I only hope poor Paridhi is not stuck in that awkward position for 2 long minutes just because that is the director's idea of the high romantic.

My dear sweet Kamal, it is not husbandly concern, or at least it might have been 20% of that, but the rest is to prevent anyone, especially Hamida or Motibai, from cottoning on to her having been fished out of the water, and thus disgracing the Mughal aan, baan aur shaan.

I liked the consideration shown by Jalal in reassuring the distraught Motibai that her Ranisa (a gentle concession to Rajput mores) was fine, and even more so the proud assertion Mughal sultanat ki begum hai, implying that nothing would be allowed to happen to the Mughal sultanat ki begum.

As for the resurgence of Jodha in sniper mode in the precap, that was only to be expected, and she sounded extra silly today, for I did not understand what a kaanta had to do with her slipping on wet grass. The girl is nuts, plus she is now clearly on the backfoot. But it was a very charming scene, lit up by Rajat's mischievous smile.

Yes, I will check my previous thread and try and answer your questions there. I am glad you reminded me, for what with daily posts and comments on each to be responded to, I am always running behind schedule, and often missing out on individual comments.

You are quite right, Meghana, and that is why he makes it a point to reassure her today that she will still have a place of honour as his begum in his Agra palace. It was a very kind thing to do, and perhaps later, Jodha will think things over and concede, at least grudgingly, that it was kind of him to have welcomed her back, and that too in a matter of fact manner that would cause the least embarrassment to her.

As usual I come here like a plump snail...late...
Firstly, I can't thank you enough for having referenced my name here...its a pleasure indeed...
and the write up was splendid (as is always) 😳
I'll pick out a few refreshing points that stood out to me...

Her family would feel morally bound to take her back as they had emotionally blackmailed her into this marriage. This was missing the whole point: that it was, in their code, Jodha's duty to obey her parents and make this sacrifice willingly. In the normal course, she would never have been asked, only told to do it.

I know...we women constantly seem to be viewing this from today's perspective... therein the emotional trauma...I doubt 16th century Hira Kunwari would have enjoyed half the rights in her time that they're showing her enjoy in the serial...yes it's cruel no doubt - but it was reality..what's real today, could appear cruel tomorrow!

For hers is a one track mind, and the track so far has been that she has the worst husband in the whole world.

Yes...

I have of late been wondering about the total absence of scenes showing Jodha talking to herself, which would have given us clues about the inner workings of her mind. Today, we got it in spades, and with a solid dash of realism too!

So there is hope for our Amer ki Mirchi yet, and though her sudden embrace of Varunadev might seem OTT, it was really the best thing she could have done at this stage in terms of clearing the air with Jalal, preparatory for a fresh beginning en route to Mohan.

Though I'm still not-at-all happy about this suicide attempt, your explanation above is the closest that could come to taming my rebelling sentiments...I didn't want Jodha to suicide bas...I know she's not going to die...still...that was a MOMENT-TOO-VULNERABLE for me to take...😒

I found all of the above refreshingly realistic. Firstly, contrary to the conviction of the romantics here, Jalal was quite ready to let Jodha go back to Amer. This was only natural; an emperor does not beg to be cared for by a wife who constantly proclaims how much she detests him. There IS something about her that pulls him, like a hidden magnet, and this has been so since the time he ventured on that risky trip to the heart of Amer just to catch a glimpse of her. But that does not mean that he cannot master that longing, the desire to make her care for him.

Secondly, while he tells himself, and others, that he will not let her die so that the pride of the Mughals will not be besmirched, the fear that lurks behind the determination in his eyes in the last shot tells its own tale. Rajat was tops in that one frame.

I loved reading your take above..it was an angle I hadn't thought of...so, this was the most refreshing aspect for me..

Question for the day: Why on earth were the personal affairs of the Shahenshah - he himself says sending Jodha back to Agra was his duty as a shauhar, so there was nothing either siyasati or riyasati about it - up for discussion in the Diwan-e-Khas, which is meant only for high political affairs of state? It was ludicrous, like a circus.

Shahuhar-Biwi but more importantly Emperor and Empress...Jalal sending her away would have been akin to a Talaaq...which would mean severing of relations between Amer/Agra? Wouldn't that have to be announced in court anyway then? Of course, things changed drastically in court after that...I also think this public announcement was his way of punishing her for the Holi fiasco...

Brilliant aunty😃

Thank you, Lashy, for such lovely and pertinent comments. I would take a late, plump snail any day rather that an early bird that has nothing to say but 'awesome' - not that even that is not very kind of them, but still!

Your transcription, for it is nothing less, of the day's goings on, complete to the last details of every exchange, was amazing.I have said so on that thread.
