If you have ACTUALLY seen the show, you would know that he is Cruel in general to everyone except for those few he loves. Its not a'religious' thing. He is not shown as a religious fanatic, which he never was.

What you are saying is true.. but the story here is saying that Akbar becomes secular and tolerant only AFTER his marriage to Jodha... That the reason for Jalal to become Akbar was Jodha... so until Jodha comes into his life...he will be shown cruel, getting influenced by Bairam Khan and Maham Anga who are evil here

Why are you people dragging a sensitive issue such as religion in a fictional show??? First of all yesterday it was Jodha , not Akbar who showed her hatred towards mughals, and how was Jodha's feelings towards mughals before her marriage to Akbar, sorry to say no account has found in history on it cause in those era,women were not given so much liberty to express their feelings in anything..and above all the name 'Jodha' ever did exists or not in history a big question till now..??

and when have you found that Akbar is showing his hatred towards Rajputs on religion???The only reason of his anger is that Rajputs are denying to obey him as Shahensa-e-Hindustan without a battle.. I think it was only Maham Anga and Bairam khan till now who only showed some negetive attitudes towards hindu and how were there views in real toward other religions,nobody knows actually..In the show they are right now portraying the age of akbar when he even has not got rid of Bairam Khan., so before he marry a hindu princess,includes Rajputs in his court and becomes Akbar the great, there is a long way still to go..

P.S. One more thing Akbar was a secular king..He never forced anyone to change his/her religion. His all hindu wives followed their own religion through out their lives..
