With arrival of FM radio we lost the culture of shudha raagas recitation, I remember when I was a child mother always turned on AIR in the afternoon, back from school that was probably first experience of classical singing, how blessed we are that this music is still accessible to us.

it is shocking to hear that Shaan and Sunidhi are besura in live shows, now I need to watch them live.. 😕

Arayq2, Thanks for sharing this Thumri by Pt Bhimsen Joshi. It was really a breath of fresh air.Totally enjoyed it. People showered wah wah after each word.That is master's performance.

Sunidhi used to be pretty good during live shows. Haven't heard her lately though.

But yes, Shaan is usually a besura and so is Alka Yagnik.

ATTENTION: hey guys....i thought alot of people knew this...but apparently i was wrong....if you download real player...you can download youtube videos onto real player and you won't have to search for them every time and you can also create playsists with the downloaded songs rather than searching for song after song on youtube....just go to real.com and download the free real player and whenever you go to youtube or any other site like it....a little download link will appear when you take the mouse over the video screen...and you clikc on the link and the download will begin....this is pretty useful so yeah...to those who allready knew this...sorry if i wasted ur time...to those who didn't...try it out...it saves time....
