I will comment on the episode but a few reflections on the post above.
let me just say this when there is conflict in love.. ( eg when a person falls in love a second time whatever be the nature of the first love) there’s no point in finding seamlessness in the situation… it’s not simple thing. Also it’s not always possible to dissect the nature of love.. pehla kitna gehra tha ya nahin etc yeh sab baaton ka toh matlab nahin rehta. Jhanak 3rd angle hain ya nahin nazriye ki baat hain. It’s about do we consider that J came between the two or Arshi came between these two? For me, it doesn’t fundamentally change anything cos I am only seeing which is the love for which the lover(s) are fighting for!! The love story that is trying to fight for survival…
I know a lot of the audience are laying store to the forced Shaadi but the narrative is only alluding to it in a veiled sort of way. What the narrative is clearly laying out and this is borne by the promo and it has been from the time he got her to BH from Jammu after readiing that letter. The basic premise of this love tale is this…..
Within the forced Shaadi trope the idea expressed in my view is that forced bonds don’t work whatever be their nature…. It doesn’t matter what you call that rishta… if it was a Shaadi or a long term relationship akin to marriage or even a cohabitation arrangement; it works only when both want it… equally!! That’s the thing Ani was trying to put across… He clearly outlined that he didn’t mean to fall in love… but he did… At this stage of the relationship, he can’t be fighting for the righteousness of his feelings…There may come a time when that could happen situationally but for today he accepts his actions may have caused Arshi pain. It’s his cross to bear. Ani just plain and simple couldn’t help falling in love with Jhanak… dil par kisika control hain kya? Is the refrain used often
His conversation with Arshi in the room had a sense of resignation of the way things stand between them. The Ani when composed and when he is in panic about J are absolutely two different beasts…When he is composed, tries to see this situation in a calmer manner So to me… the narrative through a composed calm Ani is showing he is giving credence to Arshi’s feelings for him… it’s just that he isn’t able to reciprocate it anymore…at least not in the way lovers do. there is a semblance of affection, care, love even but since we are all seeing this as romantic love we are all getting agitated.
. Until the HA track, he was pushing himself to honour his commitment to her but when he almost lost his life, his retaliation against Arshi came swiftly by which time the relationship had also deteriorated quite a bit…Ideally, when the realisation happened, there are generally few options..either you confront the issue and like an adult calmly address the elephant in the room… or you just start to hide from the problem and avoid facing it by keeping it under wraps and carry on in the delusional journey or you go on the offensive by confrontation…
When Ani is agitated about J, is in panic, we have always seen him do things that the sane Ani wouldn’t.
I will split the two Ani conversations of yesterday in those terms.

. Jhanak also agreed to marry him because of this reason. He brought her back to BH and declared again to the family that he's done with Arshi and only wants to live with Jhanak forever. Arshi is still doing faltu drama but will likely walkout by next epi or two.
